  1. 70 yards certainly possible, especially in perfect conditions - indoors, at Denver, or a place like Buffalo with the wind behind you.
  2. Anyone who watches the Bills on a regular basis can see the obvious: FredX is the best offensive player on the team. And his value goes way beyond the stats (as good as they are), but also his leadership and example. Yes, one of these days he will hit that tipping point of his age catching up to him. But until then, watch and enjoy what a true profession we have in Fred Jackson.
  3. Me Too! Although Marrone isn't going anywhere no matter what happens.
  4. yeah, but he's still better than what we have now
  5. CJ is from that area As for EJ, "He's injury prone!"
  6. John Wooden did stuff like that, basically teaching his players how to be respectful, smarter, and how to act like men. It seemed to have turned out well-enough for him. That being said, I'm way more concerned about his ability to judge and keep talent. The Bills seem to lead the league (maybe it's just our limited and myopic perspective) in getting rid of, or letting go, All-Pro types (Williams, Lynch, Peters, Spikes, etc.). Coaches are always smarter when they have better players. So I do hope that he can figure who the best players are and do what it takes to keep them—so we can build, not start over, each year.
  7. Well, my wife said, "I like their outfits."
  8. Why do you even watch the games, and even better, take time to post on this board? Is it time to just walk away from the keyboard; obviously there is no joy in any of this for you.
  9. Wasn't #64—JJ 'UNGA—supposed to play today at LG? I kept looking for him, but really didn't notice when/if he played. Did anyone see him out there, and any report about his play?
  10. And can we now put to rest this insidious discussions about whether he is dedicated to the Buffalo Bills.
  11. No! oh wait, I change my vote!
  12. Bottom-line, excessive alcohol consumption is slowly but surely ruining the game experience. The last time I went to a game at the stadium, my wife and I, and a 12 year old boy who was with our group, had to listen to a vulgar ("F" word for every thought and comment which he felt free to share with everyone in the section for every play) loud mouth drunk the entire game. And in front of us was a girl who came into the stadium and pass out as soon as she sat down, only to wake up and start groping the guy she came with. This has been the norm of my experiences in Buffalo, not the exception. Yeah, it was a lot of fun. And I do think it is effecting attendance, next time you're watching a game on TV, pay attention to the number of empty seats as the typical stadium. Honestly, I hope the attendance thing becomes a serious enough problem that the league will get serious about doing something about it. Because the only that will affect change is money—a few good law suites would help. Unfortunately, until the Bills and the NFL get serious about controlling this kind of behavior, there will be plenty more stories like that night last season. By the way, I've been to two games in Miami, and it was a much more enjoyable experience, even as a fan of the opposing team.
  13. good for Kaufman, he played well in the pre-season, hopefully he catches on next season and like you, I never understood why they released Rogers - everyone knew he was a project, and projects need time and by-the-way, if we wanted high-character tall receivers, we had one of the best of them in David Nelson . . . at least he was a serviceable starter with some proven game day success
  14. I think Brandon and Marrone deserve some credit here: They know this team isn't going anywhere, out of the play-offs again, so coach them up to stink and get the better draft picks—that is the best way to help yourself for next year and the near future. "Stay Brilliant my friends" They sure better let Jacksonville win next week, that will be HUGE draft position game.
  15. I and that same thought . . . a 53 yard'er . . .
  16. I didn't read the thread, but it's all so predictable . . . Bills lose, people are walking out on the ledge. Come on people, use some commons sense and some creativity when creating threads . . . what was the line: " … what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room (on this board) is now dumber for having listened to it."
  17. Glenn! Really??? what more could you want out of him?
  18. You ask: Does anybody care about the rest of the season. Answer: Yes!
  19. Oh there are so many good ones to choose from . . . - the obvious is Norwood, but that's too easy - Yeah, the Nick Folk kick was a good one - Homerun Throwback (forward) has to get serious consideration - Do we have any of the Leodis McK. fumble against NE a few years ago to snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory - And anything with Aaron Maybin in it, or has all that video been burned But I have to give this a vote: Just when we were about to get hope beyond hope that this team might indeed be special, a Dback torched, falling down, looks up, ball coming right to him, returns it for a TD, instead of up by 2+ scores, Chiefs back in the game and rolled us from there . . . http://youtu.be/oxjHIhlh5ys
  20. Ah, the classic! . . .
  21. Was just wondering, after reading the thread title, did the league give you a call and explanation yet?
  22. Yes, I thought the same thing . . . first time I saw it all year. Good! Now maybe he needs to direct some it at his own players.
  23. Ask the Cleveland fans if they are now Ravens fans? Answer: No! and it was no before they were given another team. Ask the Baltimore fans if they now cheer for the Colts? Answer: No! and again, it was that way before they were given the Ravens (Browns). Ask fans in LA if they still cheer for the Rams, or Raiders? Answer: No! why would they? So, if the Bills did leave Buffalo, I would probably switch loyalties. And after 13 years of misery, and a bunch more before the Super Bowl run, I think I also have the right to pick a winning team, just so I can enjoy that experience again. And especially so I can feel what its like for my favorite team to win a Super Bowl. Which is becoming a Bucket List kind-of thing for us older fans. Hmmmm? So who? Patriots? Broncos? Saints? Colts? Well, we'll see when it comes.
  24. It sure seems like Gilmore has digressed. He was beat like a cheap drum all day long.
