  1. Word on the street is that Fred Jackson bought a customized computer and had the 'F5' key replaced with one bearing the likeness of Doug Whaley and the letters 'FU'.
  2. Or maybe leave it the way it is and let each team have its own identity & its own traditions. Domo arigato, Mr. Pegulo
  3. Make sure you send your plea to Mr. Pegula. Mr. Pegulo is probably powerless to stop this.
  4. Yes. I thought I'd add a topical twist. Carry on.
  5. Yes, there's an apples-to-apples comparison. Jordan Gay is 50% for is career...PRESEASON career.
  6. He hasn't had a good camp. He was injured and he's missed 3 FGs (2 from less than 50 yards) plus an extra point. He only missed 4 FGs all of last year so, yes, his performance thus far justifies a raised eyebrow. Maybe the injury has played a part in his inconsistency, maybe his dog passing away has him unfocused at the moment...who knows? The point is, he has not looked like the reliable, clutch kicker of the past this preseason. BTW, I am not advocating that he get cut, just pointing out "what the hell is going on". Given his past, I'd like to think that he will be able to work thru whatever the problem is at the moment, whether that be physical, mental or both.
  7. "We're going to the playoffs...and things like that. You can take it to the bank...M&T Bank!" - Rex Ryan
  8. Ice, your class has no place on this board! j/k Always glad to see you come around. I hope you guys are the NFC rep in the SB. Here's to a great season for both the Pack & the Bills with very few injuries.
  9. Maybe the kicking game...given his propensity for feet. Why would he do that now? That would only serve to help Indy.
  10. First of all, let me say that I love Fred Jackson. My kids, too. In fact, my older son has had his jersey for several years now. FJ has been and always will be one of my all-time favorite Bills. I thank him for the memories, wish him nothing but the best, and look forward to the day when he signs a one day contract to retire as a Buffalo Bill and has his name go up on the team's Wall of Fame. That said, I can't and don't get bent out of shape when a player leaves, even one as beloved as Freddie. It's a business and players come and go. Even fan favorites will eventually move on via free agency, retirement, or the cruel cut a la Fred. Am I fan of this move? Absolutely not. But it is what it is and no amount of hand wringing or complaining about it will change the fact that he's gone. I pull for the laundry and I'm moving on in the hopes that this move ultimately gets the team to its intended goal even if it isn't the popular choice among the fan base at the moment. Thanks again for being a perpetual oasis in a 15 year desert, Freddie. You truly are a class act and will be missed. GO BILLS!!!
  11. Loved the Empire Sports Network. Really miss it... According to Artie's Wiki page, "As of 2014, Wander appears regularly as an analyst on the WBBZ-TV program "All Sports WNY" (hosted and managed by his former boss at Empire, Bob Koshinski) and writes commentary for the program's website."
  12. Agreed. My point, really, was that there were two, consensus top QB picks in those drafts and two were phenomenal while the other two were busts. Despite RG III's OROY, he's proven to be a bust...albeit not on the epic level of Ryan Leaf.
  13. How about comparing Ryan Leaf to Todd Marinovich? Does that get it to a wash?
  14. Bob 3.0 is to Ryan Leaf as Andrew Luck is to Peyton Manning.
  15. This. As much as I'd love it to be true and as much as I can't stand them, I'll believe it when I actually see it. I put no stock in the preseason, whatsoever....whether they're playing poorly or well.
  16. That was awesome. Nice to see an athlete getting some positive pub. Way to go, Marquise.
  17. Hmmmmm... Doug Whaley picks up phone & dials Joe Banner: JB: "Hello...Joe Banner here." DW: "Hey, Joe...how's things? Doug Whaley...I hear you think that Tyrod Taylor will be our starter." JB: "I do...love him." DW: "We do, too...and you're right. Tell you what...you're rebuilding & we're ready to roll here. How about you talking Thomas Dimitroff into trading us Matt Ryan for Tyrod. We'll even throw in EJ & a low round draft pick. You & your team can grow with Tyrod and we can win now with an experienced signal caller." JB: "But I'm just a consultant." DW: "And a damn good one, a visionary even. You know a good thing when you see it & Tyrod is your future. Matt's time is running out & you have nothing around him. Make the call to Thomas...and be convincing. Talk to you soon...I'm counting on you, you visionary you. Okay?" JB: "Um...okay?" (Click) He'll start to yell that...then he'll check down to a whisper.
  18. Well, I made it thru the 1st quarter. I'm done. lol Enjoy your show, Yolo. Likely a better TD than anything in this "game."
  19. Exactly. Ragged & uneven but, like a train wreck, you can't turn away...at least initially. lol
  20. So glad that football is back but I'll only watch a couple of series & then turn it off. It's only a glorified scrimmage...but I need a taste.
