  1. And with McBeane - don't rule out the special teams aspect, nice to have people ready to hit as the ball is being caught. Best special teams for Bills teams in I can't remember and I go back to day 1.
  2. Nelson is 4.28, Brown is 4.34 Stills is 4.38 Tyreek is a 4.29 for reference. How many times has josh out thrown his open receiver on go routes this year....
  3. 4.28 would make him the fastest player on the roster [Taiwan "stone hands" Jones] is a 4.33. Josh being able to force the defense to be honest with the long ball is a scary prospect. Diggs 4.46 got over the top last week and went to the house. Gabe Davis 4.54 did a couple of times, but was a step slow. If he can play teams, would make our punt and KO coverage teams that much better.
  4. Daboll has been part of success at every stop and is a imaginative and unpredictable play caller. Jordan Palmer has worked on a lot of stuff, but he has also worked with Mahomes, Darnold and a host of others. I really think Ken Dorsey's contribution is underestimated. He was one of the most successful college QB's ever to play the game [surrounded by a great cast; e.g. Frank Gore]. He has been patient with Josh, and we can see the growth.
  5. Interesting I just looked up the combine, Josh is almost 3" taller, heavier, has bigger hands, faster, more athletic [better vertical and broad] than Mahomes, and same time in the 3 cone, so just as agile. All he needs to do is win it all.
  6. Josh has the physical skills, size, speed, arm talent, few have; combined with coaching from Dorsey, and Daboll; & getting him some receiving talent. His general, "I'm gonna prove I can play with any one" attitude. Add in a bit of farm boy; "no work is too hard" mentality doesn't hurt either. He's almost as big as Big Ben, faster, better arm, unlike the guy in Tampa, his mobility gives the OC a lot of options, No disrespect to Mahomes, who has a better supporting cast, but what Josh has done this season is mind boggling. Just imagine if Josh had a Kelce/Gesicke type Tight End.
  7. Just never let Jones, who is the fastest guy [yes faster than smoke] on a pretty fast team ever go out for a pass unless on ST. That drop had me throwing the remote.
  8. Jake is a taller [6-4] Duke Williams with 4.54 40 time and plays teams
  9. Sounds like cutting Kumerow was a front office "oops". And Jake played special teams. Duke for a week? or longer if Beasley is a DNP, big body and target.
  10. And with contracts, salary cap, etc. how many QB's play for a whole career with the same team. Brees was a Chargers castoff for example. Brady has changed teams, Favre changed teams, Steve Young changed teams.
  11. would really love for the TV analytics guys to tell us the 'real world speed' on some of these Josh throws. They are like lasers through the heart of the defense.
  12. Buffalo weather Sunday 1/3. 50% chance of snow, temp 32-37 degrees, wind off the lake. Tua might not ever come out of the locker room.
  13. Say what you want, Josh has arguably the best arm talent the league has ever seen. In year 3, his mechanics might still not be perfect, but some of these throws, no one, including Mahomes can make.
  14. McBeane and Fromm all deserve credit for "keeping their powder dry" can't have been easy on Fromm all season having to be isolated, but at least we have an option if there was a major COVID outbreak.
  15. Thanks Virg, spot on. Original Bills fan dating to 1960, and enjoy your analysis and the weekly haiku.
  16. For the first time since the K-Gun era, we have two competent tackles, plus Lee Smith is essentially another tackle [guy must weigh 290]. I think last week was a carefully plotted couple of play calls to mess with DC minds. If we do a max pass rush, and Smith slips out, oops.
  17. Our defense is for the most part better with Milano, than without. His speed will be essential in facing TE's like Gesicke and Kelce, he also has a nose for the ball. That said, Klein is very quick to the ball carrier and at times the QB, and makes Hughes that much better.
  18. I was wondering since he's the fastest player on the roster, why Taiwan Jones wasn't getting more reps on O. Now I know why. 4.33 speed, can't catch a cold. I think Frazier and Edmunds have to watch some film this week, or Edmunds has to change careers to matador. That being said, refs were not calling holding last night and Addison got tackled on Cam's TD run.
  19. I still think Smoke if out of the protocol, should play at least a couple of series with the ones, since he hasn't played in a bit. Be good for the coaches to know if he is full go at game speed. He changes the defense when he's at top end speed.
  20. Fitz is unpredictable and has a history in the OP. Don't want to play Fitz Magic, and lately he's been more that than Fitz Tragic.
  21. Does that mean Pitt is conceding the two seed? Don't think as nicked up as they are they want to play at Buff in the OP in January.
  22. Two seed means two possible home games, in Buffalo, in January. McBeane need to keep the pedal to the metal, perhaps more snaps for the reserves, but eyes on the prize. And the Chiefs showed yesterday they are not almighty against a very pedestrian Falcon's team. Don't want to play Fitz, or Lamar in the first round. Cleve is a mess right now.
  23. Green Bay made the Titans look ordinary last night. I know our game with Tenn was an aberration between COVID and missing key players. Hoping we win out and Titans are in the KC bracket.
  24. Just the facts, he did play for the Crimson Tide, and doubt he ever played in weather like he will see next Sunday.
  25. Wonder how Tua will like the Sunday weather. Around 32 degrees at kickoff, 12 mph wind off the lake. Def not Hawaii or fall in Tuscaloosa
