NFL Execs expect Gathier trade
tonyjustbcuz replied to WordByrd's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be just our luck to do something like that!! Until I see results on the field I am definitely a pessimist regarding the new coaching staff and Buddy Nix playing with the controls. Remember, that R. Wilson is still the Bills Owner and you can bet the bottom dollar effects some of the decisions the Bills organization makes. Even though I would love to have Gaither, I would not consider giving up my next year's number one pick for the purpose of a trade. I think the best I could do is our 2nd round pick next year, or swap places with Baltimore in the first round and letting the chips fall where they may! I think Baltimore would take the risk that Buffalo will be one of the 10 worst teams and that they (Balt.) will probably be around the 10th best team. Well for now... -
Although I appreciate your optimism, I don't think you can take too seriously what these kids seem to be. Yes, they all sound like great young men, but I for one have fell into this trap before. For instance, when Marshawn Lynch was drafted he seemed like a great young man. He talked about his Miomma all the time, and how she goes where he goes, and all that Momma stuff until you figured he was such a great young man, and a Momma's boy! Well, he has been anything but a little Momma's boy! Guns in his trunk, allegedly his car and possibly Lynch involvement in a hit-and-run accident, accused by a woman of taken a $20.00 bill right out of her hand etc.... What about O.J. Simpson another mild-mannered running back who had a great career in Buffalo, and was popular enough to be an actor, Hertz rental car ad icon, and a well liked NBC Sports reporter and NFL Sideline guy. What a nice demeanor he displayed!! Well you know how that story goes...................... What about McGahee...what a nice story about a College superstar that came back from severe ACL injuries to his leg. The Bills took a risk drafting him, and how did he pay the organization back??? By putting down Buffalo, it's nightlife, women etc.. Oh, how could I almost forget, Aaron (Maybe) Maybin ! Although this chapter isn't completed yet...I remember the stories upon his arrival...How he was mentored by former Redskin Lavarr Arrington and the bond they had. The high hopes, aspirations and all that he had for Maybin and all this talk....Well, we'll reserve most of my feelings on the subject until history has been decided, but so far anyways...He's one big bust !!! (and not the type of bust that is in Canton, Ohio)! There are plenty of other examples of high expectations for Bill's draft classes, the caliber of the individuals drafted that particular year, and the general consensus among "us" Bill's fans that the Bills are finally on the right road and in good hands. Every year I would predict the Bills to finish 10-6, and the majority of the time the Bills are a far cry from 10-6. I hate to be the one that pours salt on your wound, but if you took the general opinion and predictions of all the Bill's prognosticators over the past decade and divide by two, you would be very close to what the caliber of this team has been, and still is. The Bills are a team of many holes and little depth. You can argue, that the Bills fill all the holes through the draft, veteran free-agency and rookie free-agents, and technically you would be correct. The key difference between the Buffalo Bills and viable organizations like Indianapolis, Pittsbugh, New England, San Diego etc...is that over the years they will take the "Big Boy" talent in the draft. The Randy Moss's, Peyton Manning's, LT's, etc... If we would have taken a OLT, or QB at #9 the Bill's would have had to shell out a lot more money, and you can bet that money is still the root of this organizations focus. If you keep patching holes with mediocre, mid-round talent you remain a marginal team. Plugging the QB hole with a 7th round QB gives you the 4th QB that Buddy Nix promised, but don't tell me you wouldn't have been much more excited and have even more optimism if we drafted Jimmy Clausen, Colt McCoy or whomever your QB of choice was!! The Bills organization has almost programmed the Bills fans into believing that we "got over" on the rest of the NFL, by by-passing the "norm" and doing our shopping at small schools or little known colleges. It does matter that the Bigger name, higher projected players played at big schools and were highly recruited. It does matter that they played against superior talent game in and game out. So we got WR Naaman Rosevelt...that's great! I wish the kid the best...Maybe it'll sell a few more tickets...but seriously, You know the talent level of the Bulls does not stack up with OHIO State, Penn State, Florida, USC etc etc... He'll be lucky to make the practice squad! Going full-circle, and giving the Bills fan the full gamut of just why you can't take anything the new "draftees" say or do to seriously, especially in their rookie year....We've seen it before, and will see it again! We've seen the optimism! We've heard playoff promises from Donte Whitner! We've heard the Momma routine! We've become passionate (maybe a bit cynacle) Bills fans that have grown up with the Bills promises and excuses. There are only a couple things that I know for sure about the Bills: As long as Ralph Wilson is the owner and continues to hire coaches on the cheap and refrain from investing dollars in top talent the Bills will remain an inferior team and the coaching carousel will continue about every four years. My prediction based on "Bills theory" Bills theory= Anticipated Wins minus .50 = Wins............... BUFFALO BILLS 2010 SEASON PREDICTION BASED ON BILLS THEORY IS: 5 Wins 11 Losses !!! It hurts me too

I agree with some of what you say, but not completely. Let me explain what I mean: I don't know if it was Parcells or Jimmy Johnson or whatever coach who said it...but it goes something like this.. " I can beat you with my players, and I could beat you with your players." I always believed that meant that a lot of winning comes down to coaching, strategy, offensive and defensive philosophy etc....A good example of this was when Bledsoe was our QB....don't remember what year it was? But that doesn't matter too much...what I remember is that the Bills had some talent issues on the Offensive Line...The Bills gave up 57 sacks that year!!! 9 or 10 more than last year!! Yet, but because of astute playcalling, execution, coaching, and philosophy the Bills had the 11th ranked Offense in the entire NFL !!! Bledsoe had well over 4,000 yards passing, and the Bills had about 1500 yards rushing I believe. The point is that it does make a difference on "how you use your personnel to their strengths", and I believe Buddy Nix has already stated that point...which makes sense. You can disguise plays, and confuse a defese, you can use your running backs in ways that make it difficult on a defense. The one thing that really distinguishes ourselves from that 90's team besides lacking a proven QB is that we really have a very inexperienced corps of wide receivers. If we were going to initiate the spread offense then the Bills better take a serious look at bringing T.O. back and hope that at least one of the Rookies stick like fly paper. Maybe, Roscoe Parrish will finally be utilized in that type of offense as well. Anyways, I am far from believing that the Bills are a playoff caliber team...and quite honestly I have been predicting 5-11 as a early prediction based on their personell moves (and lack of moves) in free agency and the draft. Whatever they do it should be a more interesting year than last year was for the Bills as last year was the first year I ever drifted off in my recliner during a football game. Ready! Let's go Bills on 3 !!! Lets go bills Lets go bills Lets go bills bababababa billz! No, No...not to Toronto!!! Let's stay Billzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz !

One other thing...Why does everyone worry about how much a player costs? It's Ralph's money to spend not your or mine..he can go right to the ceiling on spending if that's his desire..I don't care! I just want to see them get talent in here..and in that respect the Bills are shortchanged!
-
Mike who?? can't be that impressive! So, you'd like us to make another hole on a team that has many holes already for some WR that caught a bunch of short Dump off passes at least 4 or 5 years ago!! What a waste of a thread!

Bills can make the playoffs this year
tonyjustbcuz replied to mike oxhurtz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow! Total optimism!!! Unfortunately, I think that 5-11...5 wins & 11 losses is more on the money! I hope you are right, but I have a feeling that I'm a hecku'va lot closer. Why you ask??????? 1. Teams that switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 are notoriously bad the initial year of the change. Usually 2-4 wins 1st year. 2. I think Chan Gailey wants to see if Trent Edwards is salvagable for himself, and this will lead to bad things and a likely change around mid-season at QB providing Edwards stays healthy & avoids another concussion that far into the season. 3. If the Bills keep 3 RB's on the roster (Lynch, Spiller, & Jackson) it has the makings of trouble within, because all 3 runningbacks will believe that they should be the starter, and one runningback will most likely be the odd man out. 4. The Bills have many marginal players as their starters with little depth at several positions. Except for Spiller they did not draft many players that are NFL ready. The Bills took many players with upside that for one reason or another have not fully put it together yet. Wang is not likely a starting OT quite yet, and Carrington has good potential at DE, but probably will not be starting material this season. Easley had 9 or 10 good games in college football, before that he wasn't tested very much. He may have Andre Reed like potential or he may very well be a partial-season wonder. 5. Where the Bills are lacking the most are the holes that got filled later in the draft with the exception of Troup. Troup has potential, but he probably isn't an immediate impact type of player at DT. 6. The Bills have almost all different coaches, trainers, and a new offensive and defensive system to learn, probably several new starters from either Free Agency or the draft and it is going to take some time for the Bills to form an identity and gel. 7. There are many other reasons why the Bills won't get to the playoffs this year including that they have to play an improved Jets team twice, same goes with N.England, and Miami. That's probably about 5 losses right there if they beat one of those teams at home during the season. GOOD LUCK! Hope you are right! But before long you'll probably be wearing a bag over your head -
Now that the dust has settled...
tonyjustbcuz replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lost interest because the blog was so long...but here is my quick opinion.. I think the Bill's War room gets a C for a grade so far. If Wang, Carrington, Troup all eventually become starters then of course the grade would probably go up to either a A or B. I like Spiller, but at #9 we needed a QB or OT and I'm sticking with that...B. Bulaga was right there for the taking...Clausen was there in the 2nd round! Nix gets a C...could've done more in free agency....Gailey doesn't get a grade yet as he hasn't done anything yet. Filling a need like QB with a 7th round project is foolish! Blah...Pure excitement...yeah right!!!!! 2010 Buffalo Bills record: 5-11 -
Only fools see gold when they are looking at a pile of S$%& ! The Bills are a long way off from being a playoff team. They are a ways off from being 8-8 as well. Actually they most likely took a step backwards this off-season. Switching Coaching personnel, team philosophy, and to a 3-4 defense will be challenging. When your team philospophy is to build through the draft you better hit on most of your picks! Although early to evaluate it's easy to see that the Bills only drafted one immediate impact player in this draft...and that was at a position that was getting adequate (not great) production. Although, C.J. Spiller is a potentially great player at RB...So was O.J. Simpson (even though most people don't talk about him much...due to his post-nfl circumstances) and Barry Sanders for the Detroit Lions. Because of a lack of quality and depth on both of those teams they would get great production out of the running game, but offer little more! The "true" impact position would have been at QB and secondarily Offensive Left Tackle. The Bills didn't fill those voids adequately! Getting some guy Wang Chung or whomever...lol...and Levi Brown in the 7th round! Should we be happy with that??? How many 7th rounders end up being eventual starters in the NFL??? It's about 2% !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7th round QB's is even less ! Do I draft a player at one of my biggest positions of need in the 7th round?? Well maybe if you sit in a circle, sing a little kum bah yah and watch Alice in Wonderland each morning and talk about what a wonderful world it is in the Bills circle of football !!!! But, honestly the past 10 years has been drudgery! and the Bills need to realize that "true" Buffalo Bills fans are not going to sit on their hands, smile and say that the Bills are a good team, or on the right road to becoming a good team. Even though the Bills have been on the wrong road for over a decade don't think that Buffalo fans don't fill up their gas tanks when they need to. First of all...that has to be one of the most ridiculous analogies that I have hear in a long time. It's just doesn't make sense as if your car can't run without gasoline (if it's not battery operated etc..) Meanwhile, the Bills gas tank has been running close to empty for many years. They bring in T.O. last year to keep the fans coming! This year they haven't added anything of excitement other than Spiller, and he's just a rookie and won't initially help ticket sales much. Anyone that thinks this organization is evolving into a winner isn't an educated fan. I also would love to see the Bills organization try to fix the problems, but structurally this team is inferior and until they make some changes with the people on top this organization will languish. The first step that I would take if I was the Bills CEO would be to release Tom Modrak of all his duties. His involvement in the draft has been dismal at best over the past decade. I would also add competent people to my scouting teams as it's evident that the Bills are lacking in that capacity. The laundry list of changes I would make would be extensive. I'm not going to keep my voice quiet just because somebody thinks a lot of Bills fans whine or complain. We have earned that right as a Bills fan and if you've been a Bills fan for the past 10 years and can look at this team with rosy glasses...more power to you! But, me, in the image of Chuck Dickerson the coach...I'm going to call'em as I see them..and the Bills get a Smelly Jockstrap for this off-season's free agency and the draft! Even though it's early I am predicting that the Bills will be 5-11 and that may be gracious considering that most teams that switch from the 4-3 to the 3-4 defense only win 2-4 games the initial year of the switch. Who Loves ya Baby?

I'm glad that you like our draft, but I am not as optimistic about the draft we just had. I do understand that you shouldn't necessarily go by what Mel Kiper, John Clayton, Adam Shaftner, or any of these other so-called draft experts. I research the draft quite extensively (not that anyone needs to abide by my opinion either)....and I have concluded that we had a average draft...maybe a C+. I think that Troup was a reach but with the players at the position already being selected..if we wanted a DT we needed to grab him there. It's definitely not my favorite pick by a long shot, but I understand the reasoning. C.J. Spiller is a excellent running back, especially when used in conjunction with other backs. I think he'd wear down throughout the season if he was carrying the ball 25 times a game. Used with Jackson and Lynch and keeping his carries down to about 14-18 carries a game should net nice results. I really would have liked the Bills to have gone in a different direction with the 9th pick in the draft, but I once again understand their reasoning that several OT's were already selected prior to pick #9, and even though some projected Brian Bulaga as the Bills pick at #9 that he may very well end up being a RT instead of a LT. I thought of Clausen here but if his College coach passed on him twice (in the 1st & 2nd round), then why would any other organization want to invest so much, so early in the draft on Clausen. I though the Bills should have taken McCoy in the 3rd round personally...but even with McCoy his arm was a question..so I can understand the reasoning. I really thought that Tony Pike had a shot to be drafted with the Bills as well...but he may have been a project as well. I suppose that Levi Brown, having potential and being a project isn't a bad selection as he has a lot of upside. Actually, the more I write about the Bills draft the more I can accept it. Some of the players like Wang have size and potential to be good players, but they just haven't put their whole game together. It will be interesting to see how these project picks work out. I think I was a little wrapped up with the big name players of the draft....Derrick Morgan, Bulaga, Trent Williams, Okung, Suh, McCoy, etc......I notice that many of our picks are from lesser known colleges. Maybe their are some diamonds in the rough....It's just that the level of the competition isn't up to par with your bigger name colleges and the players that play for them. So, the risk level is a Bit higher with our draft. There are several free agents that we signed...some of them were projected as 4th or 5th round players. I was reading up on them and some of them may actually do as well or better than some of our draft picks. I really like that we are giving UB's WR Rossevelt a chance to earn a spot on the roster or practice squad. I would like to leave a more complete assessment of the draft, but with several kids to take care of I need to get back to them. The Bills draft is a passion with me that keeps me insane, but sometimes the way the Bills draft drives me insane as well !!! We'll see how it goes, but right now I'm giving them a C+

Vote of Confidence in Edwards
tonyjustbcuz replied to Gabe Northern's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Trent Edwards starts the season in my view that *ucks! Tried to find a word to use as a substitution, but there wasn't any that can express how I feel except for that *ucks! Even when protection did not break down..which it did often, T.Edwards couldn't even though a 10 yard pass most of the time. He would throw it at the ground, or keep hanging on, hanging on...buying time as he's locked on to one receiver...even when receivers were open down field. I don't buy the argument about the offensive line for T.E.'s ineptness. Sure, they didn't help him much, but then again the Bills gave up 56 sacks almost 10 more in a season when Bledsoe was our QB and Bledsoe still threw well over 4,000 yards in a season and the Bills offense was ranked #11 in the NFL. The Bills have some tools, and a lot of mediocre players, have been soft, with a poor game plan, but T.E. will again unimpress us and display the same tendancies that he has had in the past. He is concussion prone which is a terrible trait for a QB, he is a very bad cold weather QB, and just as bad in the rain, fog, sleet, and snow! T.E. also doesn't sense defensive pressure well at all and he doesn't move his feet well for a QB. His mechanics are only marginal and he holds the ball way too long even when their isn't an offensive line break-down. If T.E. is the QB by default this year then it will be a bad year. With the switch to 3-4 defense teams are normally terrible and win 2-4 games the initial year of the change. I will give the Bills 5 wins and 11 losses which I think is generous considering everything. Hopefully, they'll get rid of Edwards, Fitzy, and Brohm who doesn't grasp the playbook hardly at all which was evident during his one start last season. They should've selected Clausen & Brown and kept Fitzy for their QB trio. That significant change would've only meant that Troup wouldn't have been selected, but what a difference it had the potential to make at the most important position on the team. The Bills War room *ucks, and I can't stand Tom Modrak once again...last year's huge goof was taking Maybin over B. Orakapo and this years is taking Troup over Jimmy Clausen !!!! -
Nix has a good plan and its coming together
tonyjustbcuz replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blah! Same ole/Same ole blah! blah, blah, blah, ....QB's take time to develop so you need to find your franchise QB pretty quick in this leaugue. It takes time for them to adjust to the speed of the NFL and understand the playbook. If we don't get a potential Franchise QB this year which QB's of caliber are getting very thin in this draft it's a bad sign for the future! QB- We had our chances to pick our flavor and passed !!! But we did get a DE for the 3rd year in a row who is mediocre.. not bad, but not a lock at being a starter anytime soon! First it was Chris Ellis, who we retain, but he rarely plays! Last year it was the undersized Aaron Maybing....who was a non-impact player and barely played. Now, what does it say about our confidence in those two players if we are drafting another DE within the first 3 rounds for the 3rd year in a row?? Solution should've been: Orakapo last yr! OT- We had our chances to pick Brian Bulaga or other well documented OT's !!! Instead we selected a RB who although is potentially great.... that fishpond was already well stocked with Fred Jackson, and M. Lych. If you denounce Lynch's talent and think he should be gone then it's also apparent that the Bills feel differently and want to keep him! So, why a position of strength when you have so many holes. If they get a 4th or lesser draft pick for Lynch then that just further proves the ineptness of this organization to draft well! DT-We really needed one and selected I had him as the 10th best DT in the draft and I think the Bills one that was projected pretty low depending could've got better value at that point in the draft. Remember on the source. Bruce Campbell OT is still on the board and some had him as a low first or early second rounder. SO WHAT'S THE OVERVIEW HERE?? We passed on quality OT's and quality QB's and that is one of many reasons why this organization will continue to be mediocre at best !! At least the teams that didn't pick too many players high in draft like New England realize that they better stockpile some picks as we well know not every pick makes it in this leaugue. So you can draft like New England and stockpile and find some gems, or RECOGNIZE talent like Polian does and draft specific players like Indy does, or you can be like the Bills and surprise everyone including your fans by purposely addressing key positions that need to be addressed and playing cutsie when it comes to reaching for players because the Bills draft board is quite a bit different than what the other teams have the players projected at. When it comes down to it we'll probably pick some barely marginal QB like J. Skelton who will barely offer any competition to Edwards, Fitzpatrick, and Brohm in the Pre-season QB competition during training QB. Some organizations have a committment to excellence and we have a committment to being a bad joke and poorly run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Round 3, Pick #72: DE Alex Carrington Arkansas State
tonyjustbcuz replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, I am sitting here in Jacksonville, Florida (just visiting) and I have my little WAR ROOM setup in my hotel room on the beach while my family is visiting in-laws and I am so pizzed off right now!!! This seems like last years draft...Reaches, and positional needs are not being filled !! Clausen, McCoy, Campbell OT, were all out there for the taking along with many others I've heard of ! There are a couple of players available that could've gone late 1st or early 2nd still on the board and we pick players that are 4th or 5th no-namers!!! Crap...I am taking down my war-room, packing my bags, and although I'll watch the rest of the 3rd round today...I am putting my charts, graphs, projections and all my stuff away and I'll watch with one eye while I listen to the Sabres streaming on WGR550. The Buffalo Bills WAR ROOM gets a Smelly Jockstrap for their drafting today!!! (Trademark of the smelly Jockstrap verbage belongs to Coach Chuck Dickerson)! Do I ever miss the 90's What a lousy organization!! That darn Modrak still has way too much say in the Bills organization and he needs to go!! -
I really hope we can trade someone for a 2nd
tonyjustbcuz replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heck yeah! If we just pick the best available OT left on the board in the 3rd after so many OT's being taken off the board already...and just call it a night...I'm going to be really upset! -
Bills 2nd round pick should be......
tonyjustbcuz replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fourth rounder or M. Lynch...I'd hope they'd settle for Lynch..heck Spiller makes Roscoe Parrish expendible as well...throw him in if it means Clausen. I'd don't care...just get me a top-tier QB even if it's a high risk/reward pick!! But like others here mentioned...you better immediately focus on getting an OT who can play as a OLT as soon as you draft Clausen!!! Make it happen! Enough of this funky decade of losing... The time is now!! A new ERA must begin today! Shed the Lynch's, the already retired in my head (Schobel), I don't want to be here if I can't get my way (Parrish), I live and breathe football but I can't stop breaking my bones and missing huge portions of the season (P. Pozinjury) etc...Who the heck is Chris Ellis anyways??? I know...I remember the Bills drafted him as a DE quite high..maybe a third rounder, oh yeah he's on the team...he just don't play! Enough of these losers of the Mularkey, Williams, Donahue, Guy, Levy, and Jauron ERA !!! Start fresh with SPILLER, CLAUSEN, a NEW OT, a NEW DT, Let's Go Buffalo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Herm Edwards: Best player taken in the draft?
tonyjustbcuz replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully that means M. Lynch is expendible and they get rid of his non-performing butt !! -
Well one thing about the Bills in the past decade is that they never do what the experts anticipate, they never do what I think, and never do what I want. So, I'm making a quick wish list and I'll make a list of what unexpected things the Bills will probably do instead...lol My Wish List ________________________________________________________________________________ _______ -The Bills trade-up to select Jimmy Clausen QB or somehow he slides down to us which doesn't seem likely. -The Bills trade away M. Lynch and get back into the 2nd round and select either Bruce Campbell or another OT in the 2nd. -The Bills select the best available DT/NT on the board in the 3rd round Da Bills (clever, outsmart the leaugue mentality) more likely to do list ________________________________________________________________________________ _________ -The Bills trade-up to pick #33 and while everybody's holding there breath thinking the Bills are going to select a QB (either Clausen or McCoy), instead they select Taylor Mays (Safety) because he's the player available on their board. - The Bills make a big reach and select OT Selvish Capers OT W.Virginia with their 3rd round pick. Buddy Nix justifies the pick by saying that he was rated much higher on their draft board and the kid can play! - The Bills pass on Dan Le Fevour QB in the 4th round and instead select Armanti Edwards QB Appalachian State. Buddy lightens the tone of the Bills War Room with his funny comment. " One thing that I know about this years football team is that the Bills starting QB will be Edwards", as Nix gives a big smile before leaving a stunned audience during his press conference. - The Bills trade M. Lynch in the 4th round and selects DE Jermaine Cunningham Florida with the 4th round pick they received for Lynch. - The Bills select Mike Williams WR Syracuse with their 5th round pick which receives mixed reviews as well. Buddy mentions that one of the advantages that Mike Williams will have here in Buffalo is that he is already acclimated to the weather and is well conditioned to play in snow and inclement weather conditions. Chris Brown raises the question during Nix's press conference that Syracuse plays in a domed stadium, and Buddy Nix suddenly turns red, takes a big gulp of water, and looks embarassed as he say's "Oh yeah, well, um, we knew that, but sometimes, they, um, practice, in the elements, um and he is a good kid, um and should be a nice addition to our team. Um and I'm real excited about the players that we selected so far in the 2009...um I mean 2010 draft so far. I think that'll wrap up this press conference for now. Thank You! - The Bills select Matt Kopa OT Stanford in the 6th round and also Jeremy Williams WR Tulane - The Bills close out the 2010 draft by selecting RB James Starks Buffalo and Tony Washington OT Abiliene Christian. Just another year of high expectations and disappointment!

The next starter from Round 2
tonyjustbcuz replied to Gotta Dream's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about not ! Last year we used our 1st rounder on a undersized Aaron (Maybe) Maybin.... the year before we used a fairly high pick on Chris (anomanyous) Ellis........ No, now we need to get a QB (hopefully Clausen)...if not then McCoy, Pike.... then we need to get a OLT, even if it means trading up for one.......... then a NT...... Then after all that is achieved we desperately need a WR as well...... and then after that...sure go get a OLB if you must. -
CBS Analyst Prisco Loves Bills pick
tonyjustbcuz replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they should've traded down in the 1st round for a extra pick or two and picked up B. Bulaga OT. I will know better how I feel tomorrow when the Bills pick again! I just prefer we address our needs before going after the luxury of having a third starting quality RB. If Lynch gets traded tomorrow in a package that helps us land Clausen at QB then the pick makes sense and the end will justify the means!! Don't forget our QB, OLT, NT, & WR........I'm afraid according to Bills logic that means we need to draft: a Cornerback a Punter another RB another undersized DE etc......because they are the best available players that remain on the board! (hOPE nOT ! ) -
Cheers to a new beginning

CHEERS!! We're visiting Jacksonville tonight...my family's visiting in-laws...and I couldn't go!! Instead I'm sitting here with my own little War Room !! Bills blankets, socks, shirts, complimenting my room...charts, graphs, laptop, t.v., and even though I had a minor stroke in December and shouldn't drink...I have just 2 beers tucked away in the little fridge if the Bills pick a impact player! If they move up and pick 2 impact players I'll have to find a beer machine!!!! lol Go bills !!!! -
That was me last year when the Bills took Maybin instead of B. Orakapo DE !!! Can't afford to replace another big screen!!! Cannot believe that the NFL Network's Mock picked Dez Bryant WR for the bills at #9 !!! I was reading in the Sporting News that he has the biggest "BUST" potential of the entire class of draftee's. My pick at #9 would be Jimmy Clausen QB with the hopes that they get back into the 1st round and select an OT as well.. But, I have a funny feeling that our mouth's mike hang open with disbelief!! This is our Bills and you know how it goes!! I just don't want the Bills to take Anthony Davis OT at #9 as I've read too many negatives about his effort level and practice habits. We don't need another Mike Williams!!

well after switching from 4-3 to a 3-4 defense most teams are lousy their initial year, and as optimistic as I normally am I look for the Bills to have a 6-10 record in the upcoming season. Usually I'm a 10-6 guy, but unless they have an unbelievable draft, trade a bad apple..lynch.., pickup a couple more decent FA's, and maybe trade for a player or two..I don't see the Bills getting past 6-10 this year. Here are the games I think they win: Week 1 Miami at Buff 5 Jax at Buff 8 Buff at K.C. 9 Chicago at Buff. (In Toronto) 10 Detroit at Buff. 14 Cleve. at Buff.

DISAGREE! I am not too fond of ESPN for other venues, but the NFL Draft is so much better on ESPN W/Berman and the gang. NFLN is good, but not as good on draft day. Berman really talks as if he is having a conversation with you the viewer at home, and when he mentions Buffalo you can sense the special relationship he has with the fans of Buffalo. So go on Cabby give us our first pick!!! With the 9th selection in the NFL Draft the Buffalo Bills select: Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame !!!!

Trade everybody except Jairus Byrd, Fred Jackson, Leodis McKelvin, Bryan Moorman, and Ryan Lindell....Get as many draft picks and some quality active players and start fresh........I'd feel no loss getting rid of Whitner, T. Edwards, R. Fitzy, Brohm, Paul Pozinjury, R. Parrish, Chris Ellis, Aaron Maybe Maybin, Hardy hahaha, Stevie wonder Johnson, Aaron (I can't make up my mind if I want to retire) Schobel, and Marshwan (LeastMode) Lynch. Get rid of them all !!!! Schobel's retired in his head rather he shows up on the field or not...(time to go).. I think if you bunched all of these "Lucky 13", you might be able to get a teams low 1st rounder in return...(that's a maybe.....)
