  1. I agree....My prediction is Bills 27-24 and it will take that many points at least to win...even then I think the Bills need alot of luck to pull it off....reality is setting in as our family reunion becomes more of a distant memory and the beer exits the system...lol...
  2. U are right about fixing the lines first which they likely failed to do at Left Tackle...which is only the most important position on the team possibly! I thought the Bills would address that with one of the two first round picks they had! I figured they should've grabbed DE Orakpo and a OT...wasn't there a guy Eben Britton available? (Sry my college recognition of names isn't as strong)...hopefully that's right...I know there were other decent OT available as well....I like Levitre and Wood okay...but I don't know if the need was as great as Left OT and DE. Maybin may be good as well, but I also liked DE Everette Brown alot as well! We sure should have gotten the QB's blindside taken care of in the draft or free agency and I don't think that was achieved. I believe that will haunt us all year long and it could even help the staff & coach lose their jobs. Like u said why r we talking about QB's...if he has time Edwards may even b good, but we will never know that until he goes to another team next year.
  3. U may be right about NewEng drafting a QB with the Raider pick...Wouldn't that be something and then a year or two after that QB is trained up NewEng will probably trade Brady for a team's 1st round pick! Probably our Bills once Brady is washed up like Blesdoe was just about when we got him. Nothing like re-treads! Whatever the Patsies do anymore works and it sure would've been great if we could've got Scott Pioloi from them like K.C. did. Oh well....
  4. Yeah, I have a feeling that we're going to beat the Patriots as well ! There really is no logical basis to feel this way considering the circus show that we've watched during the preseason. It's overdue but strange to fire your Offensive Coordinator 10 days before the regular season, but better than waiting until week #8 when your 2-6 ! I think the pressure is on N.E. to maintain their status and unfortunately our expectations have already been dampered a bit and we'll be pretty loose. My prediction is Buffalo 27-24 and Brady reinjures his leg! I also predict that the Bills will have 3 sacks and recover 2 fumbles with 1 being for a touchdown!! Also a special teams TD as well ! Well, we just concluded our 2nd annual family reunion 2 hours ago and I guess the sediments in my Gennesee beer must have made me temporarily insane!
  5. Thank God! It's 5:07 pm and I am listening now...I sure miss the REAL COACH !! I try to listen to WGR550 AM and it is so unbearable anymore that most of the time I shut it off! They talk about movies and motorcycles and celebrities and other topics that have nothing to do with sports. They do this so often and go on and on about it for hours. I literally can shut my radio off at 6:30 am and turn it back at 9 am and they are still on the same subject repeating themselves. When they do actual sports they beat that subject to death as well and focus so much on the Sabres that it is sickening....and I am a Sabres fan too! Please COACH (Chuck) come back to Buffalo as you are needed and I know you will give me the dose of football that I need! Today's a Great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. No that's fine...No offense taken...I have just began to post and I am not to familar with doing so. I usually just read'em once in a while. I'm kind of long winded and detailed as well, and sometimes it's a good thing but not usually for posting...Thanks Thurman and Go Bills!
  7. I'm all for the no-huddle! It's not like anything they've done the past 10 yrs has net great results. It may tire out the defense but also tire out our defense sooner as well. May not work as well in the colder part of the year which comes quick. I hope that they will be less predictable with their play selection. Last year I could sit on my recliner and almost predict what they were going to do on most plays. I think the offense will be improved, but maybe not as much as we all hope for. First thing is I would be surprised if Dick Jauron game time decisions will suddenly improve after a long track record of being poor in that segment of the game. I also think that the Offensive line will someday become a cohesive unit with it's new additions, I'd be surprised if it's now. Too many new pieces and also rookies. Trent Edwards has not had a good track record in sloppy weather and cold games. I am still waiting to see if these are career trends or growing pains. I think T.Owens will contribute in increased touchdowns and receptions which will help. There are still some holes to fill in the lineup and their is a talent gap between the Bills and obviously N.E., Indy, Pitt, etc.....I think with the youth and difficult schedule that they will start out poorly but grow as the season progresses. Unfortunately, I think they will find themselves at either 2-6 or 3-5 at the midway point of the season. I think they will play better and become a more cohesive unit in the second half of the season and finish with 6 to 8 wins. I will predict 8 wins because I don't want to see 7-9 again! Sure, I want to predict 10-6 like I do most years, but that's my heart speaking there. I think they have some of the pieces, but they are still about 5 solid starters and possibly a coach away from making the playoffs. I know this got off the topic of no-huddle, but it's all inter-related as personnel, coaching, maturity, ability, etc..all play a vital role in determining if the Bills can successfully dictate the game by their use of the no=huddle. I think the games will be fun to watch as long as it's not hurry up to go 3 and out. If that is the case we're going to have a very frustrated defensive unit that will be overworked, and fatigued. All that considered, we can't stand PAT (pardon the pun) and keep trying the same things we have the past several years. So NO HUDDLE Like Rocky would say "GO FOR IT" !
  8. I I detest the things he did as a person, but as long as O.J. remains on the Wall of Fame considering his crimes....I don't see why Vick shouldn't play football. Bruce Smith has been charged 3x for DUI/DWI which often leads to a human death(s). Just because he always gets away with it makes him not much better in my book, yet caravans of Bills fans are going next month to celebrate Bruce entering the Hall of Fame! You can't look the other way when it's convienient without being a hypocrite. If you think about it you could dislike M.Lynch as well and many other players if it comes down to criminal mischief, and players lacking morals. I don't want Vick to come for his well being though....I want him to come because it increases interest in the Bills regardless of neg or positive interest. With Vick and T.O. being BIG names it may draw other players that are talented. Vick did horrific things and some of it may be unforgiveable, but he did do his prison sentence for it and lost most of his income that he had accumulated. There is alot to gain as far as football potential in signing Vick at probably a greatly reduced contract than he would have signed 3 years ago and if it doesn't work out the Bills know how to release players (ask Lossman)...Just make it a 1 yr contract offer and if he doesn't keep his nose clean then don't resign him. It's that easy! I don't expect everyone to agree with me, and I do understand how his conduct as a human being makes it impossible for you to even consider supporting the Bills in bringing him here. Fortunately, the #1 prority in football is winning! and if they feel he will help them win more games being here then it should be no shock if they do sign him as he is a bargain at this moment. He getting 1000 to 1 odds in a sense and the risk is low as he will be watched, lectured, and warned by the NFL commisioner prior to taking any snaps. Russ Brandon you know what you have to do and maybe that is another reason why you are still a few rookie signings away from having a complete team. Maybe, you are trying to budget Vick in the equation??? GO BILLS!!!
  9. I only read a few of these posts but it wouldn't surprise me if they moved their training camp to Toronto! That would really erk me, but they don't care about my prospective or they would have drafted B. Orakpo etc........Oh well Go Bills!
  10. Yeah...The Bills should switch (permamently) to throwback uniforms and the Sabres should switch full-time to their old style uniform that they occasionally wear!!
  11. The draft really made me upset! I study the draft several months in advance, buy all the draft magazines, look at all the mock drafts online, and prepare as if I had some input...lol....Just an obsessed fan I guess? Anyways, I was also upset when they passed on Orakapo. I also was certain they would go for Everette Brown DE at some point seeing that they had 3 opportunites to get him! They could have drafted Everette Brown and Brian Orakapo and probably solved the DE position for a long time! and still drafted an Offensive Lineman with one of their 3 first picks in rounds 1 and 2. I didn't like any of their picks until Shawn Nelson (TE). I also didn't like the way they handled the Philadelphia trade for J. Peters ! They should have been able to get Philly's 21st pick vice the 28th they got! I don't like any draft where at least 4 of your picks are likely going to shift positions because of different factors such as size or speed etc..... If your going to reach like they did with Levitre for instance then that player shouldn't be drafted to take a step into the unknown of switching positions. He is no lock to be a starter or successful with the switch. If you look at the Bills drafts from the past 5 years or even 7 or 8. You see a trend of poor overall production and eventually the player often is either out of the league in 3 years or with another team. Reveiw the our draft and you will see just how poor our track record is. The Bills unfortunately try to be cute, and out-think the draft experts! I really believe if you handed me 3 draft magazines, and access to the internet that I could draft better than the Bills management does 9 out of 10 times. So, getting back to the beginning of this I would say without that Aaron Maybin may only be a situational defensive end and will never have the frame to sustain the NFL grind for more than 5 or 6 years tops!
