  1. I agree with you...and I'm not even that fond of Marshawn Lynch so far! I don't want Vick as he has proved nothing except that he can kill or have killed innocent creatures and I'm not even a dog lover. Here's what we need to do!! Keep Brian Brohm as we haven't found out enough about him yet to put the ax to him, draft a QB in the first or second round that the Bills scouting dept. likes alot. (That's scary if we keep the same scouting dept. intact in the offseason) to groom for the future, and pickup the best freeagent QB available during the offseason. They need to spend the other 1st or 2nd rnd pick on the best Left Tackle they can draft and pick up another one in free agency as well. I could go on about their other needs at LB, DT as well but that's a healthy start. Have to clean house at the top as well...GM/Coach& new staff as well or it's all for nothing as we are a wrecking ball for young QB's.
  2. T.O. Should go back to the scrap heap or football junk yard with all the other "has beens". In his Prime T.O. was quite the spectacle on and off the field, but I have been in the stands and have watched him take plays off at his discretion. He has made a few nice catches recently but he is a shadow of his former self and he's 36 years old going on 40! He should try to angle his way into the sports booth or an on the field reporter or something because T.O. is washed up and should retire at seasons end! Us poor Bills fans say "Have Him"!
  3. I'm sure Trent Edwards will give J.P. Loserman all he can handle when they battle each other in UFL next season!! Maybe Trent can bring Hamdan down there to back him up and maybe Dick Jauron can be a coach down there once he's done reviewing the game film from his final game here to help determine just went wrong in Buffalo!!! Trent should be worth at least a bag of skittles or a snickers bar which is a little more than J.P. would fetch in a trade scenario! Booooooo Trent is just a scaredy cat who can't sense pressure, and is afraid to throw down field.
  4. I was excited about the possibility of Brohm possibly starting a game or two until I read with your points that I am inclined to agree with...Good Job!
  5. When it comes to the draft I don't take any GM's word for it...remember that INDY drafts low historically in the past decade. Maybe he would be a great pick late 1st or 2nd round? I think Bill Polian is a top 3 GM and if he is sincere then I would definitely depend on his infinite football wisdom, but like I said Bill Polian may like to pick up Tebow for the future after Peyton Manning.
  6. I would be willing to signup again for Wade even though he is buried deep on my list of preferred coaches...I fear whom the Bills organization will hire as coach if they don't take the step of hiring a GM first! But I have to admit compared to what we have seen by Williams, Mularkey, and Jauron half of Wade's seasons were very respectable. My first choice would be Bill Cowher, then Mike Shananhan but I don't feel good about either coach coming here. It seems as Mike Martz is the only one who clearly expressed that he wanted to coach here. You may be able to talk me into that scenario if it means some untested coordinator would become the new headcoach otherwise.
  7. Wow the ultimate optimist!! or sarcasm? lol I want to drink a cup of your coffee! There must be magical ingredients inside? lol...
  8. I also salute you as well! Great Optimism! I need to surround myself with great character people like yourself to stay positive!!!! Lets go Bills, Lets go Bills....Babababa Billlllllls !!!!!!!! Thanks for elevating my mood!
  9. I salute your optimism!!!!!!! Great job! I wish I was as optimistic, but I sure hope what you have outlined happens!!
  10. (I am willing to start a rumor that I am sure isn't true at all, but I wish it were! So in my virtual football world here it goes....)....The Buffalo Bills are going to trade M. Lynch to the Oakland Raiders just prior to the 2010 NFL Draft. They are suppose to receive Oakland's 3rd and 5th round picks for M. Lynch's services. M. Lynch commented that he is glad that his time with Buffalo is coming to a close and that he won't miss the snow and boring Buffalo nightlife. M. Lynch also said that he is glad finally to be back home in his native California and that it will be great to play football in front of family and friends. He also mentioned that it's good to be going to a team like the Raiders who have a committment to excellence. The Bills also included a 7th round draft pick to complete the deal. Providing M.Lynch passes his physical the trade will be completed 2 days prior to the draft. Al Davis commented that "M.Lynch is on the verge of superstardom in this league and was surprised that Buffalo was willing to part ways with the running back". So what do you all think? Should we trade Lynch? What do you think we would get? 2nd, 3rd? 4th? You never know just what impact us fans may have? Maybe a billboard would work again? Lets go Bills !
  11. Can't stand that punk Lynch...We have Jackson...as far as I'm concerned try and get a draft pick for Lynch that's if anybody wants him? I wouldn't...how about Oakland? They take chances and I believe Lynch is from that area and would be all for it... Hmmmm a trade to Oakland! Makes a good thread idea
  12. Yeah, your right...Kind of like a Doug Flutie with height! He believes and has the physical tools and size to succeed in the NFL. Doug Flutie had that same kind of determination in college and pros and if he just had the size of Tebow he would have been even better! Yeah, Bruce Smith was a "fat young player" but became very passionate about working out and wanting to succeed and he became a hall of famer! I really totally disagree with you about the importance of passion for the game or whatever you do in life. Passion is what made Michalangelo great! and many examples exist of people with passion that went on to succeed even when lacking resources, and developed talent. I think you got it wrong here! Tebow can be a hall of famer someday if he continues to put the passion, study, and work in his future NFL career.
  13. I am also wondering just how old Marty is? Hey, Maybe Marv will come back or how about Dick Vermeil? Maybe they can have a Senior citizen's only interview simulataneously with Ralph while they all sip on "Ensure", and discuss the direction (probably north!) of the team! Anyways, I think Bill Cowher, Mike Shananhan, Mike Holmgren, John Gruden, Brian Billick, Jim Fassel, Dennis Green, should be enough on the menu for interviewee's. Don't want Jim Haslett or Marc Trestman for H/C..Maybe an assistant though?
  14. So it's 7:00 pm and nothing has happened except the possibility of a conversation with M. Shananhan...Woopie Wow! Lets hope that this Shananhan thing works out and he becomes coach with total control over all football decisions! I'm all for that..forget Haslet, Gilbride, Tressman or whatever his name is...that's all second tier... If Shananhan doesn't pan out then skip those other guys and look at Cowher, Holmgren, Dungy, Gruden and if all else fails look at Billick, Fasel... Lets Go Bills, Lets Go Bills, BaBaba Lets Go Bills !!!! BIIIIIIIILLLLLLLSSSS
  15. If it means firing Jauron, getting a good, tough coach, a GM, Do we even have one? is Brandon acting in that position besides being the marketing guy? Darn if we could just get Bill Polian in here! Definitely all new coaches especially strength and conditioning coaches...this team always runs out of gas before the 4th quarter! For that matter get "The Coach" Chuck Dickerson back on WGR550 radio. Those guys are so sorry when it comes to sports...I don't care what marconi award they won...They are always talking about stupid movies or how cheap Howard Simon is....Just fire everyone for that matter there too! Fire the Bills broadcaster on the radio too...he sucks compared to Van Miller! Get Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, and all other glory day Bills who want to be involved with the Bills in some capacity in there! The time is now!! It's time to give the fans some REAL hope! Don't just bring in the next T.O. guy to smooze us a little into buying tickets! Do what the winners do like N.ENG, INDY, & PITT ! Emulate them, that's what I did on my way to being a successful Navy Recruiter when I was active duty! I implemented the best traits of all the top recruiters into my recruiting repritroie and became one of the best! It's a shame that a person of an average educational background can come to these conclusions when the Bills somehow stay mystified of the solutions at hand in building a winning team for an entire decade! It's amazing how inept they are as an organization, and as you so eloquently put it "There is no accountability in this organization". That is so true! It is amazing that nobody really is accountable in the Bills front office. They just seem to hide from constructive comments and questions. Where is Russ Brandon now? and Tom Modrak? Yes, D.Jauron does have short media sessions, but essentially tells you little if anything (of course)...Well, this was my Bills whiner blog or Bills therapy session I suppose...So thanks for putting up with my venting! Bills 5 wins & 11 losses!
  16. Incredible! I'm not the only one who wondered why I didn't care? or get excited? even when they were doing well early on..I didn't yell, cheer, swear, get upset, or anything! My wife asked me if I was okay....Normally the whole mood of the house goes bad when the Bills lose! I even cheered near the end and yelled go when the Titans ran back an interception for a TD "GO GO" I yelled! My wife asked why and I said maybe if it gets bad enough Jauron will get fired and will get a higher draft pick...Otherwise no emotion at all!! This team is just so lousy with that joke of a coach. We need a top to bottom purge of coaches, scouts, etc.... NFL Draft 2010 Baby! that's my next football fun day (until they screw it up that is)
  17. I want what you to predict to happen (clean house), but I am not confident that R.W. will do that! It would go against the grain of what R.W. usually does with multiple year contracts that remain (2yrs approx 6 million). Instead I think they will make 2 acceptable changes to appease the fans. They will probably focus most of the offensive woes on the Offensive Coordinator position and justify moving A. Van Pelt back to his original coaching position on the team. They'll probably say that it wasn't fair to throw VanPelt into the fire with no O.C. experience or preparation. They will probably hire a full fledge Offensive Coord. with experience (hopefully winning). I believe that they will release either Hamdan or Fitszpatrick at QB and bring in one of the more significant free agent QB's available and have him backed up by T. Edwards who will be touted as their QB of the future. D.J. will say something about Trent still being a young QB who with more seasoning and mentoring from the seasoned veteran they bring in will eventually be there #1 QB again as D.Jauron will say how he believes in Trent! Some of the offensive woes will also be blamed on injuries (also the defense) and this will help the Bills deflect some of the wrath for their poor performances. I think the Bills will have an opportunity to draft highly touted QB's but will probably refrain from doing so becuase of the salary implications of choosing a QB high in the draft. I think that the Bills will draft a Left OT or DT or both in their first 2 picks of the draft. I think the Bills will look for a WR fairly high in the draft (3rd or 4th round)...and quite possibly re-sign T.Owens as he should come cheap and there should be little competition around the leaugue based on his lack of production, dynamic personality, and continuation of dropping the football. What I want to see happen is that the Bills hire Bill Polian as GM somehow! Not likely, but who knows....Hire any coach with a winning record and a pulse, Draft a QB first round, Draft Left Tackle second round or trade Lynch and the 2nd round pick for another first rounder and get the best Left Tackle on the board. After that who cares the draft is already a success ! Make sure we get new front office personnel, scouts, draft people....etc....secretaries, coffee people, mail room, I mean a clean sweep! There's several other changes including practicing outdoors alot more like the 90's, no soft training camps..., ensure they wear pads and tackle during training camp, no extra days off for T.O., No deferring receiving the opening kickoff unless the wind is actually a big factor, change defensive styles to be more compatible with their opponents that way you are practicing the same defense on a daily basis which will help against their divisional opponents as they are lousy defending the 3-4 defense and lose almost every time they face it! In my book you do these things and several other things that I would propose then this team would be in a superbowl again within 5 years!!!
  18. You sound reasonable with your analysis, but I don't think the Bills organization uses the same rationale that you do so no problem with your assessment, but I think things will work out differently utilizing "Bills Logic"... First off I don't think it would require the bills to finish the second half of the season at 7-1 for the Bills to retain Dick Jauron. Understand, that the Bills have D.J. under contract for 2 more years! If the Bills go 5-3 or better I think D.J. will likely remain the Head Coach! (Personally I think that stinks)...I want him gone last year! .....But in Bills world I think that they will instead blame the poor start on injuries as some players make their way back to the lineup. I think they will find another offensive coordinator, and possibly another strength and conditioning coach and pin most of the blame in those directions. I think that they will likely draft a QB in round #2 or #3. I think that the first round is a lock on a left OT if that player is on the board. Compared to what we have I would love to have any of the Head Coaches you mentioned or anyone with a winning record and a pulse! Heck I'd take my chances with UB's football coach over D.J. for that matter. On the matter of M.Vick I personally don't have an opinion on him as a player as he only has thrown 2 completions on 6 attempts this year so far. There is no reason to believe in him quite yet, but I agree WHY NOT? Nothing we have at QB now is worth keeping and throwning more money into. We have a broken down Yugo for our offense that needs a new engine, transmission, brakes, and I think T.O. is coming out of the exhaust pipe!! We also need to draft better and bigger. None of these stupid undersized players with high IQ's that have slipped past the other team's radars during the draft. Maybe concentrate on players that don't come from tiny COE College or Troy State and stick with Florida State, USC, Ohio State and teams that are big leauge college teams. Yeah, I know...why don't we start at the GM and get Bill Polian back as GM! That would be first! Second: Polian hire new college scouts and staff. Then hire a solid coach with a tradition of winning football games! Then draft well and purge some of the crap at O.P. from the team...Personally M.Lynch would be good trade bait...Don't like him as a player, his rap sheet, his attitude, or his stats! How could he be laughing after Houston's RB ran for his 3rd T.D. a couple of weeks ago! Thurman would never have done this! Start Freddie without a doubt as he is a much better team player and had better stats prior to M.Lynch coming back after suspension. Anyways, No need to go on...do those things and your on course to be a solid team in 2 year!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe even S.B. once again!
  19. Finally a blog that makes sense! I agree that we don't want any more projects as far as GM's, Coaches, or sustained losing records like Jauron's. I want a GM like Bill Polian (okay I'm dreaming) or like the ones mentioned above with a sustained history of a good amount of success....I want Bill Cowher (probably can't have'em okay..!) then maybe John Gruden, Marty over-the-hill Shottenheimer, Jeff Fisher, etc.....as long as the resume includes some success in the playoffs (just getting to the playoffs would be a huge upgrade though!). I also hope (but skeptical) that Kelly's Hereos buy the Bills from Ralph...(but that's alot of funds to put together and Ralph may not sell until the hand is forced by his passing...Well anyways good job/Go Bills!
  20. I am hoping the Bills sign Patrick Ramsey! He may never even play or start a game, but right now any change seems like good change! I remember wishing we got him back in 2002...but I guess he just never developed to draft experts expectations. Who knows maybe a change of scenery could do wonders for him and the Bills! Competition is good to have at the position and I don't know that our current QB's are any better (maybe worse) than Ramsey....I am wondering if the Bills can sign him?? What is his status? He wouldn't be blocked by the free agent deadline that elapsed? Hope someone knows these answers...
  21. There should be no controversy at all...There are a few things I like about Fitz that I don't about TE. 1. Fitz hasn't been throwing the interceptions! 2. Fitz senses defensive pressure at least better than TE 3. Fitz takes several shots downfield, maybe only half are on target, but it paid off several times during the game! Fitz involved both T.O. and Evans and didn't just key on one receiver and lock on like TE does. 4. TE does not display the skills or will to ever throw for 300 yds...5. Although Fitz'z yardage has also been low he has had multiple 300 yd games with Cincy! TE has never had a 300 yd game! 6. Fitz is 2-0 with the Bills Edwards yikes!...okay the first week TE Threw 5 passes before his concussion and technically TE gets the win as a starter but we both know the real story there! Gee, this really is a no-brainer...and D.J. will never admit that TE is FULLY ready to play as long as Fitz keeps winning! Well maybe DJ would but any other coach would leave Fitz in there until he starts to mess up!
  22. I agree with you that they need a new owner, but be careful what u wish for because that may include a move elsewhere! Hopefully that group of Jim Kelly, Thurman and others could buy a big enough percentage of the franchise to be considered the majority owners of the team preventing anyone else from being able to move the team in the near future. I don't have confidence that Ralph will fire Jauron...or pay for top tier talent at QB, Coach, Left OT, etc....so until he's no longer the owner we're pretty much screwed!
  23. I'm sorry it's late or early depending on how u dice it...but that is LA that is building the stadium.
  24. One thing of note: The plans to build a 70,000 seat NFL Stadium were just approved either yesterday or the day before. At least that is what they reported on WGR550 Radio when I was listening. They also mentioned that the Bills are one of 7 teams that LA is pursuing in the hopes of landing an NFL Franchise....I know that St.Louis Rams was another team, I think San Diego, and possibly Jax....Can't remember the other....I am with you that we have supported the team very well over the years considering our market size and economy. I would hope that the league would try to block an attempt to ever move the Bills outside of the Buffalo region.
