  1. Most Bills fans will accept it. For a lot of Bills fans it really doesn't matter if it's 1 year, 16 years, or 26 years, so long as they remain the Buffalo Bills. Others will snicker about koolaid season being in full swing. That's what we do my robotic friend
  2. These two posts work together. Expecting a full stadium even when the team sucks (such as 0-16) is irrational. But is also expected by the league and a lot of fans.
  3. The NFL is so ridiculous in this way. More coaches than starting players.
  4. People know what goes on in private lots at Bills games. If you don't want to be a part of that, you park n a stadium lot. But others above are right, this is strictly about the Bills, and even more so the NFL, continuing to be embarrassed by the drunken moronic Bills fans like the ones who were on YouTube and worse. But I agree that they should be honest and state it has nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with the behavior of Bills fans.
  5. Except for the fact that how you maintain high levels of corporate income over a long period of time is by building very loyal fan bases across the league. Once you have that base, expansion outside of north america becomes at least feasible. I know that due to frequent conflicts with the other NY teams, the Sabres had their own channel here in Rochester (and I assume Buffalo) where the Sabres games were broadcast which would be a regional only channel on cable. However streaming opens the door for them to fairly easily (from a technology standpoint anyway) make it available that way. I would suggest contacting MSG about it. If enough people request it, you never know. But if they don't think there is a market for it they won't do it.
  6. Well that's where you are wrong. It does not show even a little how strong the fan base is or how bad they want it. Just that it is stupid enough, pathetic enough, and drunk enough to do it. It would be embarrassing to say the least to see that happen just for making the playoffs. But that said, it would not surprise me if at least a subset of fans in attendance did it. But to me this discussion is academic. I don't see a path to a home playoff game this coming season without something extraordinary happening.
  7. That really is the question, isn't it. History says a resounding NO in my opinion. But my opinion matters not. One thing it will not be with the Ryan brothers, is boring!
  8. That would be a disaster from a marketing perspective. Rex Ryan's biggest strength by far is his personality. Rob too albeit to a lesser degree. Having the Ryan brothers in Buffalo and having them shut up would be like owning a Lamborghini and never taking it out of the garage.
  9. There is no need to. The franchise is very profitable regardless of what the Buffalo News or any other outlet might say about them. Why would they change?
  10. Neither has shown anything close to being a savant at anything football related.
  11. It is a performance based business, but not performance on the field. Rather it's how it performs financially that matters. For example, how long has it been since the Bills have been more than a mediocre team? Yet they continue to sell large numbers of season tickets, merchandise, and have a rabid cult-like following that is seemingly in no way tied to on field performance. As long as the Bills are in Buffalo they will be financially successful.
  12. What you are referring to I think is a team with a winning history. They are used to winning, and to making decisions that allow them to continue to win both now and years from now. A win now mentality has the stink of desperation to it that forces teams to gamble their future in a generally reckless manner. That's the difference I think.
  13. To me it means not thinking at all about anything but the next/current season. For example, give up whatever future draft picks you have to in order to get players you think can give you a winning season now. Also commonly referred to as mortgaging the future. It is shortsighted by it's very definition and stupid. But desperate coaches and front office people might fall into this hole if they figure their jobs may be on the line. I don't get the feeling the Bills are in this mode despite some recent decisions the past few seasons.
  14. Very likely true, but since this information comes from the same people that determined that a certain draft picks shoulder was not a problem ...
  15. I do. But apparently the OP does not assuming everyone would be under your vs. Can't argue with WGR being there mind you
  16. Ok then, tell them how they should interpret todays news, you know in a non-negative way. Educate the negative masses instead of just whining about them.
  17. So, history does repeat itself then.
  18. Rex is as capable of leaning his lesson as Donald Trump is. Rex is what he is, and I have no doubt he believes in what he did last season, and every season he has been a coach. We will see the same Rex as long as he is the coach of the Bills, for better of for worse.
  19. Can't happen. It would mean fewer TV commercials and they can't have that. If fact they probably need to add a few more timeouts or something to get more commercials.
  20. It's been proven year after year, particularly the past 16 The Bills do not have to be any good to have great season ticket sales. They just have to be in Buffalo.
  21. You can remove the drunken part as well. A lot of people go for the event, with or without drinking. They just truly enjoy the experience regardless of the quality of the play.
  22. He has enough money to get out of it. Will King Roger let him skate is the question. He almost can't after giving Big Ben a few games without even being arrested.
  23. Give us your money, then drink until you don't care about the score.
  24. 32 teams comprise the NFL for gods sake, you obviously know that by now and are just being deliberately obtuse. Yes I do watch from my couch 99.9% of the time. And as a matter of fact, I record it and strip out the 2 hours of commercials as well and watch it when I want to. If that is somehow on topic. Absolutely, as is the guy setting the price for his recording. And whether or not the NFL pays it, or tells him to F off is up to them.
