  1. Browns hopefully most winnable
  2. So what I'm hearing is ... there's a chance!!!!!
  3. CBS with Spread (Bills +3): 6 Bengals and 2 Bills (but probably 5 Bengals and 3 Bills, see comment below ). (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/against-the-spread/11) CBS Straight Up: 5 Bengals and 3 Bills. (but probably 6 Bengals and 2 Bills, see comment below ) (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/11) [John Breech took the Bills straight up, but didn't take them with the points. Something tells me he typed them in backwards ] ESPN: 8 Bengals and 2 Bills. (http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks) Microsoft Cortana: Went 7-7 week 10. Bills 40% chance of winning. (http://www.cortanapredictions.com/) FiveThirtyEight:. Went 9-5 week 10. Bills 44% chance of winning. ELO point spread 1.5. (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-nfl-predictions/) Amos: Went 43% week 10. Bills 32% chance of winning. (http://trevorbischoff.com/2016-amos-nfl-predictions/) FiveThirtyEight has the Bills 2nd in the AFCE with a record of 8-8 (Pats 12-4) and a 20% chance of making the playoffs. Amos has the Bills 2nd in the AFCE behind the Pats with a record of 8-8 (Pats 12-4). For the season so far: FiveThirtyEight has called 62% of the games correctly. Cortana 56% Amos 52%
  4. You'd be happy too if you had his contract, even at 4-5.
  5. Maybe they don't want to be in 8-8 mediocre hell for 17 years straight. I can relate
  6. Thanks. Miami at 27% is interesting. 538 has the fish chances at 12%. But they are both close regarding the Bills, both have them at 8-8 with 18% (outsider) and 20% (538) chance of making the playoffs. Byt 538 had Trumps chances at about 25% so all is not lost
  7. You need to see him on the field once in awhile and utilized otherwise it's easy to forget
  8. You apparently have to be an "insider" to get to that article.
  9. FiveThirtyEight has the Bills second in the AFCE going 8-8 and a 20% chance of making the playoffs. Amos also has the Bills going 8-8 and 2nd in the AFCE.
  10. I think if the officials were able to be held accountable, and their average age was less than 100, officiating would be in much better shape than it is now.
  11. OK, I'm no expert, that much is clear. But it doesn't take an expert to see the bye week is coming at a good time. The players need to heal completely, particularly Shady. And the Bills collectively need to regroup and get their heads together going into the rest of the season. A few winnable games coming up, but they will need to win a couple more than those if they hope to end up over .500 this season. Hey we now have president elect Trump, crazy things do happen!
  12. If I remember right seeing it on TV, Rex was yelling at the refs and some assistant with a headset on ran up to him and said something and then he calmed down and got the spike to happen. Solid coaching teamwork is what it looked like to me.
  13. I imagine seahawks fans are saying exactly the same thing.
  14. They got shut out by Boston last night 4-0.
  15. Every true Bills fan wants the team to win. But there is clearly a significant percentage of people that do not have winning as a requirement. Seventeen years into the great flood of mediocrity and still having a record number of season ticket holders proves that. Bills fans as a group are loyal in the extreme, perhaps to a fault.
  16. I have always said 8-8 plus or minus a game. Your statement of going 1-7 was what I was questioning.
  17. I realize you are probably just trolling and have fun with that. But going 1-7 the rest of the way when the jags, browns, and fish are on the schedule, and all at home, seems a tad pessimistic. But maybe that's just me.
  18. Not at all. Anyone who does not know by now what they buying when they get their seasons simply isn't paying attention and it's on them. Caveat emptor - The principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.
  19. The front office is awesome actually. Not even a whiff of the playoffs in how many years, and how many season tickets sold? Brilliant if you ask me.
  20. The problem is, the NFL wouldn't use this in place of the current commercials, they would use them in addition to the current ads.
  21. Most people already figured he either wasn't playing or was going to be a non factor due to the injury. Betting lines typically don't move on player announcements unless it is something very unexpected and very important, like say Brady suddenly not playing because he was on his period. A money shift moves the line generally. Shady not playing was very expected.
  22. Perception and how much you understand about a sport. Tackle football is largely seen around the world as big guys in pads on a field running into and trying to hurt each other.
  23. Sooooo true and well put. Watch one DVRd with no commercials some time. It is a very different experience.
  24. Baseball has that nice between innings space that is perfect for commercials, plus bonus commercials when there is a pitcher change. For the most part, footballs are artificial which makes them painful. I watch Bills games DVR'd as well. Works out well usually to watch while eating dinner with the game taking 75 minutes ish. Just far too much deadtime otherwise for me, plus it kills the entire afternoon. Not sure what to do about Monday yet, but with the late start we'll probably watch it during Tuesday dinner. Doesn't look like that game will be a barn burner anyway.
  25. So far straight up, just Jason La Canfora. But he is also in last place on CBS and might just be picking a plausible upset.
