Taylor. The offense is likely to suck this season no matter who is at QB. Give Peterman a year to develop and not get him killed/shellshocked (I know, not in the Bills vocabulary) and see what happens with the QB they get in the next draft.

Yup of course. This is preseason game 3, AKA the dress rehearsal game. The people thinking Shady won't play must not have watched much preseason football. Biggest sports scam ever. A 40 year old boxer who hasn't fought in 2 years against a MMA fighter who has never boxed before. And people are going to pay $100 to see it. $200 mil to the loser and $300 mil to the winner. The promoter who sold this to the public is a genius. Phenomenal cash grab played to perfection. The fighters will probably go out together after and celebrate.

Fair enough. Maybe I'm just jaded, but my opinion is they would do what's best for the team. I don't see any good things for the team telling Shady they are considering trading him. I agree about McBeane cred. But they traded Watkins and let him find out on ESPN. Doesn't seem like cred means much in the grand scheme of things to the FO.

I understand the tanker viewpoint. But I think doing so is telling the season ticket holders to bend over and take it up the a$$. So I would not call myself a tanker. But I have said, and do believe, that if a contender wanted Shady (and his contract), and was willing to make a fair trade, I'd be for it. Shady has a limited amount of time left in the league. The Bills certainly aren't going to be contenders any time soon. But you believe the Bills FO would have told shady they were shopping him, or considering offers, if the rumors are true?

Watkins found out in the media (ESPN if memory serves) that he was traded. I have no idea with the Bills intentions are for Shady. And if I did I wouldn't tell you guys But if you believe what a NFL GM said to a star player who asked if trade rumors are true or not, I have some nice swamp land to sell you. We, including Shady, won't know until the trade deadline is over. And that's true of any player.

They do need to legalize (or at least decriminalize) at the federal level though just so the dispensaries can deal with banks and not need to operate as a cash business. Banks can't work with those companies because they are technically breaking the law.

The day before the Watkins trade he probably would have grinned about that as well. You never know until you know.

Having it be legal would be a plus though. Mass is legal for recreational use now right? But NY and Ohio are not ... yet.

Correct. But all mgmt needs to do is trade players like Watkins, Shady, Wood and the team they field is not likely to do well.

In the wake of the first 2 preseason games, Watkins being traded, and all the tank talk, Bill fans will grasp anything positive they can get.
