What if Trent becomes an above average QB???
CodeMonkey replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What if he becomes ... Payton Manning ..... just think! -
Do you think Nix would like to beat the Redskins?
CodeMonkey replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think both Nix and Gailey could give a **** about what coach is on the other sideline for a preseason game. I am also sure they would much rather be surprised by outstanding play from a few players that maybe they were not expecting. And a overall good effort from the team (which I am sure they are very much expecting). -
Is CJ's tweet a hint that his contract is done?
CodeMonkey replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. A 1+ page thread on nothing but what a tweet from Spiller might mean. -
Buddy's first BIG mistakeS
CodeMonkey replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolute 100% bull ****. I am not a big fan of the Spiller pick. But I understand that Nix picked who he thought was the best available player still left. I may not care for it, but I understand why he did it. To say that RB is a position of need on this team with glaring needs almost everywhere except RB because there is a need for a "offensive playmaker" is so ridiculous it is laughable. Tell me "best available" or "we will need a stud RB in 3 years after the rebuild" and I am with you. But I cannot stomach "we filled a offensive playmaker position of need". Ok, rant mode off. I just hate rationalization. -
Day autograph sessions at camp
CodeMonkey replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another player yesterday was Maybin. My son told me his line was very short when they stopped more people from getting into the Poz line. Maybin not a kids favorite yet I guess -
My wife took the kids yesterday. They have 4 players in a tent signing autographs. 1) Kids only. Adults not even allowed in line. 2) 1 item per kid, strictly enforced. 3) They have pieces of paper that can be signed if the kid has no other item. Yesterday was Poz, don't know who else. Tomorrow (Thursday 8/5) it is all 4 QB's. When the time limit approaches, they close players lines and that also is strictly enforced. The Rochester D&C sports section shows who is going to be signing the current day and the next day.

A New Season.....A Feeling of Optimism
CodeMonkey replied to Speedy G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that people who post 10 wins and making the playoffs this season are unrealistic. I guess that's why they play the games and don't leave it up to forum votes -
Spiller will sign when both he and the Bills come to mutually agreeable terms. It would be stupid for Spiller to sign before then just as it would be stupid for the Bills to sign just to get him into camp. Today, tomorrow or 3 weeks from now. It will happen when it happens. That's really all there is to it. Nothing more to see here, move along.

I agree with you. Both sides are trying to do the best for themselves. What a lot of people don't remember (or choose to forget) is that this is first and foremost a business to Spiller and the Bills. To the fans it is what they are passionate about. The Bills want to pay as little as possible, while Spiller wants to maximize his earnings ... particularly guaranteed earnings. When your business is running around while other strong fast violent guys try to rip your head off or break you in half, I'd be pushing for guaranteed money as well!

Help Me Out with Spiller News . . .
CodeMonkey replied to Ennjay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny how a lot of people automatically take the teams side in cases like this. Spiller has the rest of his life to consider. Maybe 13 million is not a lot of money to you, but it is to most people including me. I can guarantee that Smithers is busy trying to save Ralphs wrinkled old ass some coin. Why shouldn't Spiller do the same for himself? -
TG has confidence in the Bills....
CodeMonkey replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there some reason he should change his "tone" to appease Bills fans? -
Sunday Practice, O-line, D-line drills
CodeMonkey replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Chan goes with a run-centric offense, which I'm thinking more and more that he might, short patterns might be all the QB's will be asked to execute. -

Whatifsports computer predictions for 2010 season
CodeMonkey replied to Damian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except for one thing. This is supposedly a simulation based strictly on 2009 stats (so far anyway). So if we did not draft Spiller, and it was still the Smithers/Jauron show, this still would have been the prediction. Plus I suspect this "simulation engine" of theirs does not factor in coaching at all. And the coaching change is the main reason some people think the Bills are "moving in the right direction". If Jauron was still the coach would you still be billieving this "prediction"? Smells like a big pile of dog**** to me. -
Yeah, taxpayers should spend millions of dollars on a waterfront stadium to make Buffalo "look better" on TV the 8 (excuse me, 7) times a year a football game is televised. Don't spend that energy or money on trying to bring Buffalo into the 20th century by getting out of the manufacturing rut that put the city in it's current condition in the first place. Yeah a waterfront stadium will fix everything wrong with Buffalo.

#1 Sam Bradford- $50M Guaranteed
CodeMonkey replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At some point the NFL is going to implode under the weight of it's own greed and ridiculous salaries. When attendance drops off because the cheapest ticket is $100+ and the TV contracts shrink accordingly, then they will do something about it (if it isn't too late). Until then, they will just sit back and count the cash of the people willing to shell it out. I suspect right now they believe that American Football is such a great game that people (well, Americans anyway) will pay whatever it takes. And why not, it has held true so far. -

CodeMonkey replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Calculating just regular season games, that's a paltry $812,500.00 per game. NFL salaries are just plain ridiculous. But good for him, set for life now. -
No. You didn't curse. maybe something like you !@#$ing suck perhaps
