  1. My feeling is that we have 1 RB that can move the chains by running the ball and it is not CJ. If Gailey can get Spiller the ball in some space then and only then will I agree with you. In my opinion that did not happen Saturday. I sincerely hope it does in the regular season.
  2. promising bigger and better things for the regular season and is telling Bills fans
  3. God I feel like I'm reliving a very bad dream.
  4. Did you watch the game at all? Even the Bills homer announcers said something about it. He missed holes, could run over no one, outran his blocking, and missed blitz pickups. Basically the same as last season. Except for that I guess he was fine though
  5. I suspect they want to leave open the possibility of an onside kick.
  6. Trust me Justin, the only place you heard any talk about playoffs or a wildcard for the Bills this season is by some posters here. No one else would think that, much less promise that. Not even Chix.
  7. You could tell by Gaileys demeanor and statement before halftime he was discouraged (more like really pissed off) to say the least as well.
  8. It shouldn't take balls to "root" for or to be a fan of any sports team. I believe perpetually doing something that causes you enough pain where it would take balls to continue is called masochism.
  9. Fitz is an iron man. He takes some major shots and shows no signs of being affected. That is a trait any QB needs with this offensive line, particularly if Spiller is in the game.
  10. Spiller lost the job last night in my opinion. He sucked.
  11. In Denver I wouldn't be surprised if it was 100% if you exclude onside kicks.
  12. Finally, the voice of reason makes an appearance That's quite a sobering perspective actually.
  13. Clearly the season is not over, it hasn't even started yet. But to be fair it is far more that one bad preseason game. It's one horrible preseason game, one mediocre preseason game, and 11 seasons of raw sewage.
  14. Interesting theory. Would the Broncos trade Tebow for Fitz and a draft pick? How would Gailey and Nix reconcile with the players all the "Fitz is our guy" and "its Fitz's team" rhetoric then trade him? Personally I think they still believe Fitz is serviceable (rightly or wrongly) and will stick with him. At least until things go south early and they switch to Thigpen like they switched to Fitz last season.
  15. I haven't watched the chiefs or the raiders play this year, but it is hard to imagine they could play any worse than the Bills played last night. But if you can be PUMPED after last nights performance then more power to you
  16. You could tell Chan did when they interviewed him quickly on his way into halftime. I think just how bad they are hit him like a truck in the first half.
  17. When you do you will see that the entire first string was outplayed to the man, with the possible exception of Freddy who didn't see enough action to get a real good read. Gaileys playing the entire first string until halftime instead of the 20 plays he intended says a lot. Also if you watch Gaileys body language and listen to his comments as he went in for halftime you see a head coach deeply concerned with his team. Yes it is preseason, but when the starters get "manhandled" (to quote Gailey), look like a high school team, and the regular season is rapidly approaching the "chicken littles" have the right to be concerned in my opinion. I didn't think the Bills would have a good record this season and I expected the offense to be the same as last season, but I did expect to see some improvement in the defense and last night at least they look the same as last year as well (and that is being generous). I can only hope that last night was an abortion and not indicative of how the season will play out.
  18. Fitz was also in fear for his life the first half. Between the entire line sucking balls and Spiller completely inept in picking up the blitz still poor Fitzy took a couple serious shots that would have knocked a lesser player out of the game. Fitz threw the ball like the solid career backup that he is.
  19. Wow ... just ... wow. Impressively bad on both sides of the ball. Time to start drinking heavily.
  20. On behalf of everyone who goes to the game with their families, I thank you and your buddies
  21. If they are depressed, maybe it is because they are Bills fans and their team has sucked ridiculously for longer than they care to remember? I'm not sure why some "optimists" insist on starting these threads saying that if you don't think the Bills are going to be good this season, particularly after the last 11 years and no evidence yet of anything being different, you are not a fan. Faith can be a good thing for a lot of people. Blind faith in something in the face of long standing evidence to the contrary is irrational in my opinion, but anyone is welcome to it. I wouldn't presume to tell anyone how to think.
  22. That's awesome my robotic friend! I will be there to see it
  23. The bottom line is Merriman is fragile and they know it so they want to get as much time out of him as they possibly can when it counts. It's the smart move.
  24. I'm with you. My ideal would be at the stadium to tailgate then head home to watch the game with no lines for the bathrooms or food/beer, no raging alcoholics ruining the game for me or my family, comfortable seats, not being rained or snowed on, and the perfect view. Unfortunately I live too far from the stadium to make that work so I reluctantly skip the tailgating.
  25. Ben was NEVER arrested for the incident.
