  1. Except for the top tier receiver part, i agree 100%.
  2. Really? Seems to have worked out pretty well for Mr. Wilson's bank account for more than 50 years.
  3. None yet. He guaranteed he would buy any that were left. But looking on ticketmaster it has to be less than 2000 and I have to believe he is not paying anywhere near face.
  4. Toughest, no. Biggest !@#$, quite possibly.
  5. That's not outrageous at all. Welcome to the price of a meal out not in Buffalo
  6. Where are you seeing 15K tickets left? Looks like not more than a couple thousand on ticketmaster.
  7. According to the US Dept. Of Labor website (http://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.ny_buffalo_msa.htm) which lists it as Buff + N. Falls, the unemployment rate is 8.2% while it shows the national rate at 7.9%. It is below the NY rate though which is 8.7%. I just noticed that the data for this was from 2010 so that explains it. Nice to see some good press about Buffalo I guess, but there is a reason "The cost of living is 14.4 percent below the national average, and the average home price is $119,700, well below the national average of $171,700."
  8. Yeah I agree. Most sections just have singles left. 2800 on stubhub. Might not be too empty after all.
  9. I just got the text from the Bills. That does it. I'm going to make a point of going to "Russells Steaks Chops, and more"!
  10. Winning out at this point for the Bills won't be easy, but it is not impossible either. If they manage to do that, regardless if they end up in the playoffs or not, it will show everyone (including themselves) that the Bills have a sack and will be a good lead in to the offseason. Is this a Bills team turning the corner, or simply more of the last 12 years. We will see.
  11. Yeah and if you look at this page and hover over the furthest right circle (down at the bottom) it shows the Bills overall chance of making the playoffs as 0.00014%. The Jests are 0.00012% (suck it Rex) and the fish are of course flat lined. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo_ChanceWillMakePlayoffs.html
  12. That will always be the answer for some. That you aren't comparing apples to apples due to the other factors. And it is of course true to a point. But simply watch Fitz throw the ball more than 10 yards then watch some others.
  13. It's called "The Signal and the Noise: Why So Many Predictions Fail-but Some Don't". I'm only about 25% of the way though it but I'm liking it so far! Football is a tough one. Players get hurt so frequently and who that player is can have a huge impact (see the Stillers and PigBen). And the season is so short as well, it makes any math tough.
  14. Like I said, they don't go on mathematical elimination. They run simulations of the games left and come up with probabilities. And their simulations say it won't happen (not that it can't happen). Pretty interesting if you are into stuff like that. I was always curious but this last election sucked me in completely to the point I bought Nate Silvers book
  15. Kelso is a homer.
  16. Yup. So they aren't the worst team in the NFL. But we pretty much knew that going in. The weather forcing Gailey to the run game certainly helped
  17. I don't know if he will be Revis good or not. But he is experimenting now trying to figure out exactly how much cheating he can expect to get away with and not get the PI call. He will end up being a keeper to be sure.
  18. Sportsclubstats (which is NOT based on mathematical elimination) says no playoffs even if the Bills win out. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html
  19. Yet they beat the bears on the road today.
  20. 1) No !@#$ing blackouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2) No false starts unless a players feet move. I am so sick of false start after false start because a linemans fat roll jiggles. 3) No !@#$ing blackouts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Chan made the playoffs in Dallas at 8-8 too I believe.
  22. I agree, that play showed great hustle. He could very easily have just given up on it. But it makes me wonder about the mentality of football players in general sometimes. Even my 11 year old daughter commented during that play after the interception, "why doesn't he just lay down and end the game?".
  23. As bored as you are with the Bills sucking ass for 13 years and counting?
  24. Not quite half anymore at least. 1500 yesterday, 1000 now. It's supposed to be warm for Buffalo in December, people probably willing to watch it for $20. Particularly now that it is not on TV locally.
