  1. Not a bad move then. See if they can use him in 3rd and short, and/or line him up as a TE or in the slot or some other use for him. Maybe find out some information on the Jets offense. Worst case they cut him in or after camp and it doesn't have to cost them a dime or cap space. Seems to be all upside for the Pats* ... the bastards.
  2. Ok so lets see if I got this right ... Geno is a bust and EJ is a major talent. Of course all of this being before day 1 of camp
  3. They are probably also taking into account the big drops and juvenile penalties. It's all subjective anyway.
  4. Yes, being outdoors during plate digestion is usually very wise The only *true* plate.
  5. Your definitions are flawed in my opinion. An optimist says it will happen. A pessimist says it won't happen. A realist says it may happen. The last 13 years have turned many realists into pessimists.
  6. First, there are 16 games in a season. Second, there are 3 post season games they will win. So that makes it 19-0. That is all.
  7. It amazes me how much they have complicated what in theory should be a simple process. But I guess this falls under the category of trying to achieve parity in the league.
  8. A 6'1" center UDA from the Steelers practice squad gets 4 pages. Can you tell its early summer
  9. One of my favorite cities. I used to try and go there weekends if I was staying in Europe. Never failed to have a good time there!
  10. Wow, first one is on a Sunday night. Sending my wife for tickets, that one will run out quick. EDIT: Just called and no tickets available yet. Not until "a later date".
  11. Always interesting to get a different perspective. Mine was from England, Spain and Germany. Of the people I knew and worked with (granted a small subset of the population), none cared about tackle football at all except as a curiosity. It did do very well in Germany though in areas with large numbers of displaced Americans like military bases.
  12. The NFL tried to get a league going in Europe and it was a dismal failure. The NFL games that get played in Europe are more a novelty for Europeans. I was living outside London some years ago when there was a game and it was pretty entertaining. Generally for media day here all the interest is in QBs, RB's WR's etc. Over there all the media wanted to talk to was the huge lineman. They aren't used to athletes there that are so huge and in a lot of cases, with big guts. I understand the NFL wanting to expand it's market. They are going to need to in order to keep the profits and salaries skyrocketing. But tackle football becoming popular anywhere but North America is a big stretch in my opinion.
  13. FWIW, Marrone was at SJF yesterday looking over the practice facilities.
  14. Probably not code compliant anywhere, but it works
  15. How about a temporary mount? Just keep the mount and mast outdoors and attach the antenna just for the Bills games. Or even a completely portable one. I built one for a satellite dish that works great.
  16. I did and it shows the 2012 schedule. 2013 is not out yet.
  17. Here is a good one for pointing digital antennas. http://www.antennapoint.com/
  18. That's for sure. King Roger has friends in high places.
  19. I don't know. Being fans of Marcia and the Cheatriats are definitely signs of being abused as children.
  20. 1) The government gave the NFL special permission to operate as a monopoly. I would think protecting the fans from price gouging due to that decision is not too much to ask. Granted it's not like a NFL jersey is a basic necessity of life, but if the gov't allows the monopoly they have a responsibility to make sure it isn't abused in my opinion. 2) Good question and I wanted to make sure, so using DHGate as one small example I went to the site and searched for the jerseys of a couple well known NFL players and came up with no hits. I then searched for a couple well known baseball players jerseys and hockey players jerseys and found some. If all companies are equal in the eyes of the government, why don't they protect MLB and the NHL as much as the NFL?
  21. Agreed. But to me anyway, they really seem to go out of their way for the NFL. For example, they have been going after Microsoft almost forever about being a monopoly and price fixing, but they wrote a law specifically allowing the NFL to have a monopoly. And I never remember reading anything about the government looking into why anything NFL costs so much, and at the same time someone put pressure on DHGate to stop advertising fake jerseys. Seems they get special treatment for some reason.
  22. The government seems to cater to the NFL and seemingly always has. From allowing the monopoly, to tax breaks, to law enforcement pursuing copyright infringements (fake jerseys etc.) and now taking strong quick action on an insignificant event such as this. I'm not sure why they seem to get preferential treatment, but they sure seem to.
  23. Not sure what this could be because he was on stage at Darien Lake during a Tim McGraw concert 3 days ago throwing out autographed footballs (a friend of mine got one).
  24. The actual Nike licensed ones and the numbers were bad after 1 wash? Yikes.
