My daughter is playing basketball for her school team for the first time this year and is already pissing and moaning about having to "dress up" game days I'm neutral about the concept myself. I can't see where it would help anything, but don't see where it would hurt either. That's a very valid point.

To me it was like watching the Bills play the Bills. Two young, strong, but not very accurate QBs. Both defensive backfields were crippled with injuries. Defensive lines and LBs about equal (except Mario who was a beast). And both teams making waaaay too many mistakes. In fact at halftime when they switched to the talking heads reporting on all the games, the first thing that was said about our game was "boring". Any win is a good win. And the last drive should go a long way building the teams (particularly Manuels) confidence. Now on to the Jests!

I see the bipolar TBD is on the upswing now

The club seats are not where the hardcore fans tend to go so you cannot make a statement about the 12th man where you were. They were sitting on their hands in the club seats because they didn't know what else to do, or their hands were cold. Watch a replay on TV where they show the people not in the club seats and see if you want to make that same statement.

Why do people get so upset with articles like this? The facts are that the Bills have sucked for 13 years. They have been in a perpetual "3 and out" state with coaches/players/FO during most of that time, including a new regime starting this season. And they lost a very winnable game against a very weakened Pats* team in week one. What do you expect them to write? Unless they are paid by the Bills to write PR pieces for them, that's what I would expect. There is one and only one sure fire way to stop the negative press ... win.

What if the Bills game is blacked out?

There are a lot of reasons listed in numerous other threads. -

I got the text earlier saying next 2 games (Carolina and Baltimore) were sold out. Awesome! -
Yes he did. You have the RV showers and bathrooms right there as well for men and women. Couldn't be more convenient.

Its actually pretty simple. All threads with "Hammer Lot" in the title, don't click them. You're welcome.

Welcome! The current spread seems to be Buffalo +3.5 which implies that bettors need a little incentive to bet on the Bills, even though the game is in Buffalo. Majority of the ESPN talking heads seem to like the Bills. CBS ones are split pretty even with the spread, but like Carolina straight up.

Also he plays for a big market team. Immediate advantage that is tough to overcome. -

The NFL does not care about people who cannot afford to go to the games. However, they fully expect tax money from those people. I may be having a Sr. moment, but I believe that at least in Rochester (since it is not the "principal" market maybe) they have rebroadcast non-sellout games a day or two later in years past. I don't know about Buffalo however. -
Jets or Pats* on TNF - can't decide
CodeMonkey replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pats*, though it kills me to say so. the Bills are not going to finish ahead of the Pats* this season. But the Bills have a shot at finishing ahead of the Jets. If the Bills win and Jets lose, they are both 1-1 and both with one conference loss. If the Jets win it makes them 2-0 with no conference losses which puts the Bills playing catch-up very early in the season. -

Yikes that's even fewer than the second half of a non-kids-day preseason game at the Ralph. -

In Rochester, and I assume Buffalo, the local CBS affiliate rebroadcasts blacked out games at least one time during the following week, and the time warner cable sports channel usually does as well, even more times. -
What if the Bills game is blacked out?

I don't think you will have to worry this weekend anyway. According to the Bills they are down to 2500 tickets left which I believe is in the area where the TV station will buy them out in order to televise the game. For future games we Rochestarians will need to find alternatives. I'm not about to shell out the money to pay for 5 tickets (or spend an afternoon there), and I won't watch online either due to poor quality. So if we get blacked out I generally either setup my dish and pull the game in directly or just wait for the rebroadcast. -

Agree completely. -

What in the NFL, owners or players, has ever been about "sufficient"? Greed is what the NFL is all about. Not just players and agents, but owners as well. -

A tagged player on a one year contract, I wouldn't play until I was 100% either. -
So your theory is that maybe there is a league wide conspiracy to give the advantage to the larger market teams? Why go to all that trouble? If the NFL does not want teams in small markets just move them. Its a lot easier than coordinating a very long term secret league wide conspiracy where one leak would blow the entire league out of the water (which is of course why there could not be such a conspiracy, they would never be able to keep it completely secret for so long).

But these threads come after every loss, not just losses against the Pats*. Even after some wins.

It was $15 this morning. Apparently they lowered it to $10. Russ is cheap. -
It is simply amazing how the refs make bad calls only against the Bills every single game, and how they are more pronounced in losses. I think this should be thoroughly investigated including, but not limited to, a house and senate oversight committee. How long must Buffalo suffer!!!!!! Free the Bills!!!!!
