  1. Wegmans is actually high quality, at least for this area. I imagine anywhere where the fish is fresh out of the ocean is bound to be somewhat better though.
  2. You mean as opposed to 3 incomplete passes? A few seconds maybe with Allen in the pocket, but 10-15???? Plus a holding penalty in the endzone with Allen looking to pass ends the game right there. Granted even with all their timeouts left they could only run 1 play which netted 5 yards, and their kicker made it with more than 5 yards to spare. But I stand by stupid play calling.
  3. Should be a very interesting game. The Jets D doesn't suck, and the ravens and texans have both shown how to make the Bills Offense look mediocre at best. If they follow that same path and the Bills have no answer it could be a very long game. And another close one because I think the Bills D should do well against the Jets O.
  4. Their kicker was exactly why the Texans did what they did at the end of the game by punting and pinning the Bills deep (after gifting, or the zebras gifting depending on your perspective, with the intentional grounding call). They figured a 3 and out gave them a good shot at winning in regulation with the range and accuracy of their kicker. And with I think all 3 timeouts left at that point it was very possible. Of course the Bills made it even easier for them with the [downright stupid] 3 straight incomplete passes. Basically Texans coaches 1, Bills coaches 0.
  5. Just one game as you said is obviously true. But your second paragraph I saw completely differently. I saw a ravens team that played up to their potential, and a Bills team that did the same. I thought both QB's played a very good game. Josh for example, was dead nuts on yet again. The only touchdown for the Bills was due to that one super-Josh pass. The difference to me was in the coaching. The Ravens did to the Bills D what KC does to the Bills D, namely a lot of misdirection. Combined with that freak of nature Henry punishing the Bills tacklers all game. The Bills had no answer for that Ravens offense. That game also showed that with the current state of the Bills secondary, if the D-Line can't get home on the opposing QB, it's going to be a long day for them. Why the Bills offense was so anemic, except Allen, is far less clear to me.
  6. 1) My daughters entire, including NCAA, basketball career. 10) Numerous occasions at Bills training camp at SJF when all the kids were so excited to get a players autograph and things like wristbands and shoes from the players. Their excitement level was off the charts. 11) Taking my oldest son to a Bills game when he was about 10. Hanging out at the pinto tailgate. He saw someone do a bowling ball shot, stagger slowly behind the pinto to a guardrail (it was parking lot 1 days) puke his guts out, and proceeded to go drink more. He asked me questions and it was an amazing teachable moment that I believe paid off later in his life. 12) My kids loving life at the pinto tailgate on many occasions. The people there, management, staff, and general public, were always very welcoming to kids and went out of their way to make sure they had a great time. Maybe gymnastics was her sport
  7. With the huge jump in price that some are seeing, the Bills could not have expected most to just bend over and take it immediately. It will take time and a lot of bitching before it's over. But I believe in the end most will bend over (pun intended;) ).
  8. Sounds like Joshie needs a new agent to me.
  9. I respect your opinion. But disagree 100% with the bolded bit. IMO employers, and that includes the Buffalo Bills, at the very least need to respect their employees enough to at a minimum honor innocent until proven guilty. And that feeling extends well beyond the Bills.
  10. But you see it was just an accusation. Having sex with her is not a crime! The Bills should have found out the facts THEN reacted. Instead of ready-fire-aim like they did. They absolutely did NOT need to [over]react that way at that time. You may have heard of innocent until proven guilty ... though in society these days it sure seems to be guilty until proven innocent like in this case.
  11. The Bills did not need to cut him because of an accusation by a random girl and a scumbag lawyer.. But the "character police" overreacted and did not wait to see how it played out. The blame is squarely on the Bills for this one. They let themselves get caught up in the whole meetoo thing.
  12. Bringing my kids when they were young to the pinto tailgate.
  13. I believe the "lack of uproar" stems from Beane's statements and a general understanding of the current cap situation, realizing that Beanes hands were tied this upcoming season. Now you could make a case that an uproar should be made over how the Bills got themselves into this cap situation in the first place.
  14. Maybe, who knows. But KC liked him enough to not take that chance. For whatever reason the Bills didn't grade him out as high as KC did or he would be a Bill now.
  15. A year long suspension will tend to do that.
  16. My question is not so much drafting him as drafting him when they did. For reasons mentioned in earlier posts, would he not have been available later? But again it's down to who is right, KC or the Bills and we likely won't know the answer for some time.
  17. That's what the Bills have been the past few seasons and from a business perspective it has worked out well for them. They can get the new stadium, probably have enough interest to sell PSL's. Competitive makes great business sense. It can cost a lot to take a shot at the superbowl.
  18. Nothing wrong with being retired and day drinking!
  19. Yup and if there was a vote thread then I suspect it would be the same as this one. More than half liking it, "trust the process", and so on. In these situations generally one side loses and one wins, and often it takes a few years to figure out which is which. KC won the last one. Hopefully the Bills come out on top this time. Particularly every time he burns the Bills deep
  20. I presume KC did a risk/reward analysis and thought what they gave up for the trade warranted pulling the trigger. They must not have been as confident Worthy would still be around at 32 as the KC fans you saw.
  21. The Bills didn't grade any of the WRs as 1st round. KC disagreed to the point of trading up to get their guy. I suspect all the QBs going so early made their guy available at 28 and they jumped on it. The ESPN talking heads were puzzled by the Bills move, particularly with KC being the dance partner and both teams needing WR help. But Beane must think he can get 2 WRs in the 2nd that he likes at least as much as Worthy. Many were/are calling KC the big winner of that trade, but that ultimately won't be decided for some time. I personally didn't like it last night, still not crazy about it. If it wasn't KC, and if the whole Mahomes thing never happened, I might think differently. But ultimately Beane could be right. Only time will tell.
  22. 3 out of the last 8 seasons in the playoffs isn't exactly stellar, particularly when you consider he had more player talent to work with there than here. However, it is 3 more times than the Sabres made the playoffs during that time period. And there are a lot of hard core fans excited by the hire expecting "drastically change the locker room culture" as you do which helps sales and general fan morale. Plus it's hard to argue the move isn't an upgrade. But it's also hard for me to believe it makes a big difference to the team overall and isn't only a short term, primarily feel good, Band-Aid.
  23. 13 years of sucking and being the development team for the rest of the NHL. . And the response is a PR stunt head coach. I don't think Pegula has it in him to do right by the team or the fans. So if that's what happens, so be it.
  24. I consider this coming season a mini-rebuild. I expect them to do well and make the playoffs, but not a lot more than that. Anything more is a bonus IMO.
  25. Doing that doesn't automatically mean he has money problems. His wife is not well and his daughters tennis career is in full swing so maybe he wants to start easing into retirement. Personally I wish he would sell the Sabres outright.
