  1. The Bills were REALLY lucky this year. They had put all of their eggs in the EJ basket, but after camp realized how much he had regressed. They were lucky they got Orton off of the couch and that he did as well as he did. Hell, maybe Favre wants to get off the couch for a while?
  2. The one here shows it much more clearly. But even in that one, you can see he puts all of his weight on the 2nd step knowing full well he is not standing on ground. https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/8B7E872DDB1161142806417653760_3e9fe9bbc83.1.4.11955095508783304649.mp4?versionId=t7zMTWXvgsgyPv6qf679189bILT0jZei
  3. Not that surprising. Players tell other players more than they do coaches or GMs.
  4. That is so weird. I would have bet money that Marrone and Whaley both new days if not weeks ago. I mean, Orton must have known some time ago in order to do it this morning. Gotta respect him for doing it now though instead of holding out for a roster bonus or whatever next season. This gives the Bills as much time as possible to find a starter.
  5. You never know, he could have scalped tickets and gone
  6. I disagree 100%. The first one maybe, the second one where he lifted his other foot off of the ground to put all of his weight on the ankle, you must be insane or a Lions homer to think it was questionable. According to a CBS (related anyway it seems) website, suspended for the playoff game against the cowgirls. http://det.247sports...wboys--34206487
  7. There is all that matters But of course she needs to be there until there is a loss, you have to respect the streak! Oh, and I like the "yet" in your post
  8. With a decent QB the Bills make the playoffs for sure. If they manage to shore up the OL as well, they could go deep.
  9. if you think the zebras are confused now. Wait until you see them trying to figure out how to enforce 2 penalties with different yardage and down results. For example, what do you do on a fourth and 10 with a defensive PI 30 yards downfield and a offensive holding called. Do you give the offense first down even though they held? The majority of the current rules don't lend themselves to having multiples called. Also, what do you do if 4 are called on the same team concurrently, enforce all?
  10. Congrats man! Was she wearing her Watkins jersey watching the game with you?
  11. I hear Tebow is still available. Or maybe Pettine has had enough of Johnny Footballs bull **** with his latest escapade last week and will trade him
  12. And the answer would be the same ... no!
  13. Didn't the Bills give that up for Watkins as well?
  14. Actually they need to learn to win the ones they should.
  15. The Brooks hit was high and he lowered his head. The refs don't have the benefit of slow motion replays to see if there was head or neck contact. And in fact, contact to the opponents head or neck is not even required for a penalty. http://nflcommunicat...nseless-player/ Correct call in my opinion. The roughing call on Orton was not. They must have been confused by the fact that Brady wasn't in the game anymore
  16. A draft that is not deep is one where you want first round picks so that you get at least the best of what is there. I love the rationalization of some in this thread. Yeah who needs #19 when we have #50! Beckham (assuming the Bills would have taken him) and #19 or Watkins ... Beckham and #19 hands down. Will Whaley's trade keep the Bills out of the playoffs another 15 years? Almost certainly not and Watkins is going to be a heck of a player from the looks of things. But a mistake is a mistake. Fortunately this one would not seem to have huge long term implications.
  17. I didn't see Tom Terrific drop any F bombs on TV yesterday. In fact considering how bad he was playing, and how badly his receivers were playing, I thought he looked calm and not even pissed on the sidelines. If the Pats needed that game, he would have been acting like he was during the Pats-Broncos game. I didn't see any of that yesterday. I don't think the Pats laid down necessarily, but they certainly did not have any fire and obviously were not going to risk the playoffs to win that game either. Plus the hoodie got his rookie QB some valuable experience. Including using his timeouts to give the rook a chance to not only tie the game, but work the 2 minute drill as well.
  18. Well, Manuel couldn't have put up any fewer points in the 2nd half than Orton did. The question is, could he have played as well as Orton did in the first half. Marrone obviously thought he could not. Also, I am in the camp that as soon as you are eliminated from the playoffs it should be considered next years pre-season. But I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority.
  19. Marrone wanted to have the first winning season in a decade. He figured the Pats would be playing scrubs for at least half the game and I suspect if the Bills would have put up some points in the 3rd and built a comfortable lead, he may have put Manuel in for the 4th, but we will probably never know. In terms of QB development it was short sighted, assuming Manuel is considered the "QB of the future". However if the Bills are still looking for a starting QB and are not at all sold on Manuel, then what Marrone did makes perfect sense. No one will remember it was a meaningless game to NE and the 2nd half was a Pats scrub-fest. All that will be remembered is that Marrone got the Bills a winning season. That is good for momentum for the team going into the off season, and looks great on Marrone's resume as well.
  20. You can also say now that the Giants got better draft value.
  21. I think Bills fans are happy Watkins is a Bill now. What people debate is the price paid. I agree with the bolded if the Bills have improved to relevancy or more in those 3 years. If they do not, Bills fans will put that trade under a even bigger microscope. And rightly so.
  22. You are absurd if you really believe that bull ****. He absolutely will do what is best to help the Bills improve and become relevant, and more. Who gives a !@#$ if your "excitement" builds. It will build just fine with wins. Pegula, as a smart businessman, will get a good consultant, let the consultant evaluate the organization, then address the consultants recommendations. Your statement reeks of a clueless whining adolescent.
  23. The same. Watkins is a good player and it is likely he will continue to get better, particularly if the Bills can find a QB. But that doesn't change the fact that the Bills could have gotten a WR in that draft that is nearly, if not completely, as good without overspending.
  24. So Whaley gets credit for the defense but skates on the offense?
