  1. Really, because I would take Phillip Rivers in a half a second right now. I don’t see the Cousins parallels, anyway. Wait, can we get Phillip Rivers??
  2. Bradford? Seriously? His knees are held together by spit and duct tape. No thanks. The only one I would even consider over drafting a QB early is Cousins.
  3. I’m in the same boat. I’m kind of stuck because I have about 175K invested in my education, and leaving my job would be nearly impossible because I have bills to pay and a family to feed, but I do have summers off (late June through late August). I was thinking about chipping away at another degree or training program by taking summer courses. What are are you thinking about going back to school to study? What are your new career/job goals?
  4. Don’t be surprised to see Josh Allen rocket up draft boards after the Senior Bowl and the combine. The kid has been playing with a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder for much of the season, and has absolutely no offensive line. His skills will shine through. I hope he stays under the radar as he has this season, but he likely won’t.
  5. Jalen Carey and Darius Bazley are both top 40 recruits (I think Bazley is 9). Buddy Boeheim not nearly as accomplished, but he is the shooter that we desperately need. Jalen Carey is that pure point guard we have been lacking. Bazley is special...probably our best recruit since Melo (I realize that is becoming cliche, but I really feel that way). Loving the idea of Bazley playing at the 4 next to Sidibe/Chukwu next year. The future at Syracuse is very, very bright. We will have incredible depth at all positions next year.
  6. That is exactly what happened. Huerter took his sweet time committing, as was his right to do, but by the time he was ready to make a decision he no longer had a scholarship available at Syracuse. Boeheim could have pulled a dirtbag Tom Crean move, and lifted a scholly from a verbal commit for Huerter, but he didn’t.
  7. Stay put and let one of the QB’s fall in our lap. Rosen and Darnold are gone. Forget about it. Lamar Jackson will probably be a top 10-15 pick when it is all said and done. The rest are distinct possibilities, IMO, around where Buffalo will be picking.
  8. He didn’t “let him go.” There simply wasn’t a scholarship available for Huerter after the sanctions went into effect. They were limited and already spoken for by players who had committed. They recruited Huerter REALLY hard since he was a freshman. Trust me...he would have been Orange if they had a scholly for him. Total NCAA bag over the head punch in the face.
  9. Actually, if my porn memory serves me correctly, I don’t think it has anything to do with Texas or the city Dallas
  10. That’s like the Taj Mahal of porn shops!! Holy schmokes! They do porn right in Dallas.
  11. The only thing more pathetic than Tyrod’s plea for pro bowl votes is the actual pro bowl game itself. It’s just dumb, and the best players don’t even play.
  12. It’s going to be a pain tolerance issue for Tyus. He’s looking good pre-game and going through his full warm up with no restrictions. The kid is a savage. I bet he plays 36 minutes tonight.
  13. I coach HS lacrosse. A player of mine won 4 wrestling matches on his way to a state championship on a torn meniscus. He had surgery two days after the championship match, and 5 weeks later was a full participant on the lacrosse field without a problem (and his tear was moderate/severe). The kid is an animal though.
  14. It also depends greatly on a person’s age/physical wellness. Grandma ain’t doing the jitterbug for a long time after tearing her meniscus. Not such a huge deal for a well-conditioned, young professional athlete.
  15. Torn meniscus isn’t good news, but it’s not a “serious” injury. He’s already missed two weeks, and I suspect he will miss 2 more. The fact that he hasn’t had to have his knee scopes to clean up the meniscus suggests to me that it’s a minor tear. I’ve torn the meniscus in both my knees throughout my sports career. One of them needed to be scoped. No biggie. Was back to full swagger in less than a month. No pain or swelling.
  16. IMO, no. Certainly not as a WR.
  17. We won today. Things could be worse.
  18. 28 of those 35 receiving yards came while he was in Buffalo, so I guess we did get good use out of him. This thread is just dumb.
  19. You’re griping about Kaelin Clay after a win? Is he really better than Brandon Tate? Great for the kid and his punt return TD, but if you must complain after a loss...this is it? Good grief...
  20. What’s the point of this?
  21. Eh, sure. Glory hole Russian roulette with an 11 chamber revolver? Sign me up.
  22. Depends who is on the other end of the hole...
