  1. Is Gilmore drunk?
  2. Yes, you are right. I used the score as a metaphor for a very dominating performance. One that I felt we had control of most of the game. That we really dominated. The score could end up being 27 - 17 and I could feel that way. I just need something to give me hope. Squeaking out a win against the Jets at home def won't make me feel good.
  3. Yep, that was awful. There have been many times the Pats have taken any shred of hope and optimism and just crushed it.
  4. I have already come to the realization that there is virtually a zero percent chance that the Bills will be as good as I want them to be for it to be considered a successful season. It's a weird place to be this early in the year. A lot of it is based on how bad they looked last week, not that they simply lost. Part of that is the fact that they seem stuck in the dark ages on offense. I have PTSD (Post Trent Stress Disorder), after watching the game last week. I will always root for them to win every game, but the emotion is pretty much gone. They need some BIG wins for me to get the emotion back. Against good teams, and on the road, and in a row. Beating the Jets isn't going to change the way I feel unless we win 45 - 0 or something like that.
  5. Exactly right. Who is going to be a legitimately good team sooner, the Bills or the Browns? I would say the Browns.
  6. Yes, they certainly will. I think when I say tank I mean it more as a way to describe how frustrating this is and the need to really bottom out as a team. I don't know that I would actually advocate for losing on purpose, but rather to make moves that are strictly for the future rather than for the present. For example, if an intriguing trade possibility comes along to get some more draft picks, DO IT.
  7. This season is hilarious already. Seriously though, when is average to slightly below average going to end? Watching the Bills yesterday and then watching a number of other games the stark contract was evident. This team is going nowhere and Sammy being out or at best dealing with this for a prolonged amount of time is the icing on the cake. Best we can hope for is bottoming out, cleaning house, and starting fresh. Why did the tank thread get closed? Did the CEO of Reddit take the reigns at TBD?
  8. It's not that they lost, it's how they lost. First, the entire offense was back and looked worse, much worse. Not explosive, not imaginative, not powerful, nothing. Taylor was atrocious. The defense was ok, but definitely benefitted from an unforced turnover and Baltimore playing very conservative. The worst part was nothing looked, felt, or seemed remotely different than last year or frankly the last many years. Just 60 minutes of frustrating futility.
  9. That makes no sense. I think it makes him more likely to be out of the Bills FO sooner rather than later. Just make him full time Sabres.
  10. I was saying what should happen, not what will. But since you're so sure, what makes you positive? New ownership isn't wedded to him for sure.
  11. I don't know what the actual source of the problem it, so I'm just going to assume it starts at the top and works down. Barring a miracle, Brandon, Whaley, and the Coaches need to go.
  12. The offense had EVERYONE back for a second year. It looked like they just met in the parking lot before the game. They are very bad.
  13. It must be awesome to have a legit QB and offense. Watching det/ind is actually enjoyable.
  14. What blows me away is how the Bills just look like they are playing a totally different game than most of the rest of the league. Why we don't spread out the defense is inexplicable to me. It creates more lanes for McCoy and TT, at least. At most it gets the defense needing to defend more of the field, creating more space.
  15. Agreed. This was simply unacceptable.
  16. I think best case scenario is: BOTTOM OUT! Go 2-14, get the top pick and hope you get to pick a QB of the future. Clean house, start fresh. Entire front office and coaching staff gone. Let's end this misery and start from scratch. This was totally unwatchable.
  17. 2-14
  18. Hah!! The guard stats were padded by the guard play! Classic
  19. It means if a player subs out in packages he's terrible.
  20. True, Denver and Carolina had gross defenses and high octane pass happy offenses. Same with Seattle.
  21. Chicago renovated Soldier Field in 2003 to the tune of $690 million dollars. It's also in a location, in a city, that can host events for over 200 days a year. It's really an unfair comparison to the Ralph on many fronts. My two cents is that I am skeptical that the stadium would generate any economic benefit to the downtown area. It would probably generate some pride and enthusiasm to the downtown area, which is very important yet hard to quantify. From a gameday experience, I think it would be a tremendous upgrade to have a new, family friendly stadium in a city setting. I think it could potentially open up the market of potential ticket holders to a broad group of people that don't typically go to games. More families, more Buffalo ex-pats wanting to do weekends back home, more higher income earners who want to spend a night in the city or two, potentially more Canadians. I also think it could draw in some other events for Buffalo.
  22. Hah. Knock yourself out Pats. Wouldn't be concerned in the least if I were the Bills.
  23. Fire up the outrage machine! SJWs....Mount Up!
  24. Good for Brady, he's definitely a top 10 QB of all time. was fortunate to play for likely the greatest coach of all time while simulataneously benefiting from years of cheating/rule bending. He also usually had great defenses, at least in the early winning years.
