  1. Funniest part of this whole issue is that either way, it doesn't matter at all. There are probably 20 more important things the Bills need to improve on before we start worrying about backup RB/depth at RB. It also doesn't matter much for the Pats. Pats maybe get slightly better on the margin at RB if MG actually plays a lot.
  2. Phew. Liked MG but no big deal and we pick up a draft pick. This feels like bizarro world. Pats overpay for a backup RB and have like 5RBs on the roster and Bills don't panic, take the cap space and mid round pick.
  3. Would you rather: A) draft a QB at ten who has about a 40% chance of being really good.... Or B) draft a QB in the fourth round or later that has a 20% chance of being really good. That's basically the question. Personally, Id wait on a QB.
  4. Good topic. IMO the most important thing that could happen is that McD shows he's a great coaching hire. That would mean we have well prepared, disciplined, intense, team and he makes good adjustments and in game decisions. If we have that, then we have hope for a long and successful future, even if the talent isn't quite there yet.
  5. I would like this a lot. We need as many picks as possible. Lattimore is awesome and gathering more picks is usually a good thing.
  6. Please!!! Unintended consequences
  7. First thing is to bring back the BBMB
  8. Yep. Always hate that part!!!
  9. Only 4 really "unwinnable" games. NE x 2, @Atl and @ KC
  10. Does anyone else think that's a pretty manageable schedule. Not too daunting. Then again the Bills are not that good but still.
  11. Then we could have have Leif Larson (194) AND Tom Brady (199)!!!!
  12. I wish the Pats would have traded away their 6th round pick in 2000 for a backup RB.
  13. Got it. So next year if we get the chance to draft Rosen or Darnold, stay away because TT has done more in the NFL. Got it.
  14. Haha. We talking bout backup. Backups! We talkin bout backups man! Dude - I like MG and would like to see him back with the bills but not at that price and not when we'd get draft pick comp. There are a ton of problems with how the bills have been managed the last two decades, but you're picking a bizarre hill to die on with MG. If shady goes down for any more than a game or two, the 5% chance at a playoff spot goes to 0.5%. So what does it matter who is playing backup RB. Would rather have another pick and a little more cap room to fill more impactful positions.
  15. Hahah. He had 27 carries last year. No more than 4 in one game! Let's pump the breaks on saying he sucks. He was generally considered a great value pick with huge upside coming out of college. There's another draft this year with good RB prospects and depth. Not overpaying for a backup RB and getting and extra draft pick out of it is probably a smart move.
  16. But probably will. JWill. Maybe more.
  17. Yes. Just like MG did.
  18. MG averaged 3.5 ypc his rookie year. JWill averaged 3.5 yards last year, his rookie year. Coincidence, I think not.
  19. How many more wins do you think the bills have with MG? You don't think the Bills can have either Williams be a suitable replacement or draft an RB, either way paying that person much less - cap room that can go to much more important positions than backup RB?
  20. Reading these comments is hilarious. You'd think we just let John Elway in his prime walk out of here for nothing. He's a nice player, not making a difference for the Bills. At this point the smart play is to let him walk and take the extra 5th rounder. If the teams were reversed people on this board would be saying that letting other teams overpay and getting draft picks in return is the Patriot Way.
  21. Let him go. Q: How many more games do the Bills win with Gillislee on the roster. A: 0
  22. Do people really watch these things? IMO they are totally unwatachable. Just trite little skits void of any real football discussion and focusing on controversy, "social justice", or pop culture.
  23. People are hilarious. It's easy to do anything when you have the best coach and best QB in the league. Almost anything else is irrelevant. It's obvious that for years they worked within a context of how to give themselves maximum flexibility. Be it scheme, players to add via free agency and the draft, or players to shed. Now, they see the end of the road and future flexibility doesn't matter, so they are just using the rest of the accumulated future assets for assets that can pay dividends now. Picks, cap space, etc... Again, this has worked in the past cause of B&B and will work now because of B&B. The only real question in my mind is are they keeping Jimmy G because the end is one year away or will they deal him because B&B are staying more than a year.
