  1. I think in three years the fans will point to this offseason and say that it was the first step toward sustained success. 2017: 5-11 2018: 8-8 2019: 11-5 2020: 13-3 - beat the Browns to go to Super Bowl I hope anyway. 🤞
  2. I know most of the armchair GMs on this board would have done a better job, but that being said I'm hopeful with these guys. Trust isn't the right word. You really can't trust or distrust the new regime yet. Time will tell. But I like what they are doing and think most of the people dismissing them are WAY overestimating where this team was. I don't see the trades really changing the record much. Maybe a game worse, but they were not likely to be good this year anyway. It's refreshing for a change to see what looks like an actual plan as opposed to just winging it (IMHO)
  3. Was that the trade? Could've sworn there was more too it than that. 🤔
  4. Haha. Right? People need therapy here. The Bills are trading marginal talent for other marginal talent. Let's re-evaluate in a couple year.
  5. Hah! With the exception of Watkins and Gilmore, the core players are still here from these awesome teams with "top 10" and "top 5" defense and offense, respectively. For a team that's sucked for so long, it's incomprehensible the Beane and McDermott criticism for actually being proactive and building. Again, may not work, but at least it's a a semblance of a plan. Smh.
  6. "You know nothing MAJBobby Snow"
  7. Who knows. Not everyone posts everything on twitter. But thanks for speculating! 🤦‍♂️
  8. I'll thank them when they win more than 10 games. These threads are getting more absurd by the hour.
  9. This is CNN level ridiculous. The Beane/McDermott backlash is astounding to me. It's (hate using this word but applies here) literally impossible to know what's going to happen. What's pretty indisputable is that Beane and McDermott are on the same page, and trying to build a team, and making some bold moves with an eye toward the future. I have confidence that it's the right approach, but am by no means certain about it. Its likely going to be painful, but let's at least see what happens.
  10. 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃 I give this post a 9 out of 10 scotches
  11. I think "just need a QB" is shorthand for: A team can't be great without a great QB, but a team can be bad with a great QB.
  12. Wait...you can just retire then become a free agent? Sweet!!
  13. In Green Bay stuffing a few nerds into a locker.
  14. Hah! None of those guys you crossed out are or will be "young" if they get rid of them. But other than that, yeah
  15. Also and plus, Cyrus K just got cut. Hah!
  16. No one is saying Whaley was worthless. He made some good moves and some bad moves. Collectively, it didn't amount to squat except a handful of mediocre seasons. I'll take a hard pass on that.
  17. . Great post! 👍🏻 Since you're constantly quoting team rankings, and blaming Rex, are you going to give Rex credit for a top 10 scoring offense too? You can't honestly think this team was headed in the right direction under Whaley and Rex. IMHO, you are vastly overrating the roster, especially the players that are no longer here.
  18. You're not basing this on anything other than some very questionable opinions about some fairly marginal talent. If these guys were all so good, why have they missed the playoffs. Why only get 3rds and 4ths for them. Why were they drafted in mid rounds. If this regime doesn't work out, it'll be because of bad future drafts and missing on QBs. Not because they got rid of Darby, Ragland, Woods, Goodwin, Cyrus K, etc...
  19. I'm blown away by this post. It's preseason of his first go around. They've made, arguably, some very smart, forward looking moves. You're absolutely kidding yourself if you think this team was headed in the right direction prior to the regime turnover. You may not think it'll work out now, you may not agree with these moves, but only time will tell. At least they have a plan, are bold, and in sync with one another. That tends to work out better than what the bills have had in the past. Pump the brakes a bit on the negative train. Just see what happens.
  20. I respectfully disagree. I think most of the guys they got rid of other than Watkins are replacement level players, at best. But if they don't fit in the system, then they will play below replacement level. I think most of the guys they got rid of are not really impacting the record (other than Watkins but understand the move). In return they acquire draft picks. It sucks, but understandable, IMHO
  21. Huh? They got rid of one indisputable talent in Watkins. One. He's also a big injury headache. If you are calling Darby, Gillislee, and Ragland huge talents, well then we definitely disagree on the meaning of the word. Darby was horrible last year. Gillislee is a backup RB and Ragland has never played a snap and hasn't looked good at all.
  22. They are not tanking, per se. It's not like the Sabres. The Sabres signed bad players and got rid of players with nothing in return so they could get the worst record and draft either McDavid or Eichel. The Bills are getting rid of players that either don't fit the system, don't fit in the locker room, or are not worth the risk because of the money it would take to sign long term and getting future draft picks for them. If they were truly taking there would be about 10 current players that wouldn't be on the roster.
  23. Well, I don't really know the answer to that. You're assuming a lot. I think these were defendable calculated risks. Sammy has been hurt a lot and probably too expensive to sign next year given the risk. Darby was good in year one and gross in year 2. Ragland was a really bad fit coming off a season ending injury. We got three quality picks in return not including the picks from Gillislee and Mahomes. They are clearly valuing finding good fits and a QB (next year). I don't know if it'll work, but I understand what they are trying to do.
  24. This is another thing that infuriates me. No offense. Who cares if we make the playoffs if we get bumped or before we win the super bowl? This team may have been close to sneaking into the playoffs. Maybe. Even that is generous. This team was light years from winning the Super Bowl. That's the goal and that's what we need to shoot for. If we have to take a small step back, so be it. See above
  25. Which has nothing to do with the current FO and coaching staff. Nothing. If anything, they should be given a little slack because of the garbage sandwich they were given as a starting point.
