  1. It's 27 and 3rd this year and 1st next year. Is that why people are freaking out. Would make sense.
  2. Hahahaha. People are hilarious. Folks, this is a really good move for the bills. Not everything they do sucks.
  3. Oh. I know. You're right. I haven't watched espn in ages other than an occasional actual game. Rarely go to the site. It's hard to escape from though, because it permeates so many other things.
  4. I know I know. That was definitely my mistake. It's just frustrating how everything in media now is being conflated to discuss politics and SJW causes. Esp when most of the times it just feels so forced. Like in this case.
  5. You do realize that The Undefeated is an ESPN site that was Jason Whitlocks idea but they booted him when he wouldn't go along with "the company line" right? Which this article clearly does.
  6. Hahah. I knew before I clicked on the forum that this was from ESPN. Unreal. Can we just enjoy sports without having to make it more than that.
  7. Hah! So weird. Oh, can't count that high.
  8. The title of this on TBD is "What's the record of most people you've banged at once". Wtf!?!
  9. Ha! I mean, how do you compete with these responses?
  10. Was going to post the same thing. By no means is it a guarantee of anything....but good comparison. JW: 5'10" 220 40 - 4.59 SS - 4.29 Cone - 6.97 Bench - 16 reps Rookie YPC - 3.5 MG: 5'11" 208 40 - 4.55 SS - 4.40 Cone - 7.12 Bench - 15 reps Rookie YPC - 3.5 Oh, you didn't know about the 1 carry rule? Each RB gets one carry and if he doesn't light it up, he sucks and is a bust. Day 1 stuff really.
  11. Trying to understand how much you put into these stats since you have said the same thing over and over again without really saying what that means when you put him into a full time role.
  12. 1000 yards for pats? - Probably not but who cares? Very Good Player for Us - yes and no. Good in his role, yes. Replaceable - definitely replaceable. Undoubtably. Important - was third leading rusher on the team. Not THAT impt
  13. Ok, so you're saying he's going to lead the league in all those categories again next year??
  14. That's what I mean. False premise. I think you can make a good argument that this was a shrewd move by the Bills, albeit one that is small. I bet they are really high on JW, wanted to find a way to get him more carries, knew that it wouldn't happen if they resigned MG or tendered him for a 2nd. So they dangled him for a fifth and got the Pats to bite. This is obviously speculation but I think very possible.
  15. Saying multiple metrics is the easiest way to show that you don't understand football. He had 100 carries and 1 reception. Nice stat line but a gimmick one too. SMIt's like saying that a pinch hitter with 100 AB who had the highest OPS would do the same thing getting starter ABs.
  16. Ironically, it's the opposite. Roles that is.
  17. Possibly. We won't know until the year starts. Obviously if we could have either MG or JW for the same cost, you'd take MG. It's just not that simple. I know you know that...just some of these other posters that post as if they are on twitter burning someone is crazy.
  18. That's what is causing all this craziness. It's so frustrating to read. I liked MG, I really did. But not losing any sleep over this.
  19. You honestly do not know that. You have no idea. You are speculating. Which is fine, but just acknowledge it. JWill was a more "talented" prospect coming out of college than MG, according to their pre-draft write-ups.
  20. Ok, I can't believe i am spending so much time on this, but here goes. Let's assume that JWill replicates his YPC average from 2016 (probably unlikely given he's going to be a year further from his injury and in his sophomore year). Then let's assume he get's the same amount of carries that MG got last year. The different in yards would be about 200 yards over the course of the year. Spread that out over 16 games and it's 13 yards a game less that we get from the RB position with JWill, assuming worst case scenario (that JWill doesn't progress at all and MG would have stayed the same). You're going to say, what about TDs. I would submit that TDs are more of a fantasy football metric in terms of player evaluation. In other words, if JWill is put in on the goal line, he gets some TDs.
  21. What do you mean? Are you asking because you don't know? Obviously next man up, in this case JWill or a draft pick. Not that complicated and not that big of a difference. Who the heck is Bryan Henning? I am asking because I don't know.
  22. MG was the third leading rusher on the team, THIRD! Let's not get carried away...here's the list of importance to Bills running game. 1) OLine 2) Shady 3) TT 4) MG
  23. Or, maybe, they thought about it and said: "We have a guy we are really high on coming off into his second year and another year removed from injury who we think is ready to step up to the backup role, so we would love to get something for MG" or "If McCoy goes down for any amount of time, we are totally screwed so we might as well try and get a pick for our backup RB" or "Our approach to RBs has been terrible and out of date for the last 10 years, so let's change course and put our resources into more important areas of the team. First step, not overpaying for a backup."
