It was an odd 2019 for Josh Allen. In his rookie year he looked very inaccurate on those short and intermediate throws. But he was very accurate on the longer throws. Then in 2019 he finds good accuracy on the short and mid-range throws but loses accuracy on the long range throws. I hope he finds his long range game and keeps tightening up the shorter and mid-range stuff. Because even if Josh could just get to his 2018 form on long range throws and stay the same on the short and mid-range game stuff he will likely have top 10 QB production.

The college athletes mortality isn't the issue (for one serious long term respiratory and heart damage might occur from those who fully recover) it is the fact that they could spread it to the coaches and support staff and their families or other students. Unless the SEC can create some sort of bubble atmosphere i just don't see it working out. I think the NHL and NBA are proving that bubble environments are needed to avoid outbreaks.

That is unfortunate, hopefully he heals up closer to two months. Considering the season could be delayed he might not be out that long if the season starts in October.

Top 10 certainly top 5 likely but I think Hargrove was their best player last season and he will be missed a lot.

The Steelers are going to miss Hargrove a lot not sure I would rank them above the Bills. I would rank the Ravens and possibly Niners above the Bills maybe one or two others you could argue. But certainly a firm top 5 defense.

Yes but if the Bills are making a run at the playoffs and they suffer a Covid Infection or an injury and there is someone out on the market that might help replace them decently I wouldn't be opposed to using some money to sign that veteran talent. I agree try and save it as roll over but also have it as a tool at your disposal for this season as well.

Or save the money for in season as this is going to be a season where depth and flexibility matter most.

The Titans and 49ers made deep playoff runs with multiple games where they barely threw the ball. Although I like Jimmy G better than Tanny I think neither were strong reasons why their teams turned the corner. Bosa has registered 40 sacks in 4 seasons but factoring that he missed over half a season with an injury it is more like 40 sacks in 3.5 seasons. Granted the team has only had one winning season in the 3 full years he played (2017 the Chargers were 9-7) but it isn't like Bosa is the reason they are losing.

I think Clowney's sack total is misleading as I do think he had a good season last year being a very disruptive player and a one year deal would be good for a mercenary like Clowney to keep his motivation. However I think that given the volatile nature of this season and possibly next season it would be best for the Bills to make any trades or big cap guzzling acquisitions in season. Players are going to miss games due to Covid and injuries happen in any season. I wouldn't hate a Clowney acquisition on a one year deal, however I would prefer the team keep its flexibility in season. Although if there is one more free agent out there that the team likes to go after I would almost rather Logan Ryan as I am not too confident in the CB2 options esp if Norman doesn't pan out (Levi Wallace is an OK fall back but Gaines is always hurt and Norman is shaky.)

The middle isn't inherently better, it is possible on a single issue that one side has a better idea. But the problem with American politics is that money and not the will of the people actually decides what laws get made. There are a lot of avenues of agreement between liberals and conservatives but those issues never get addressed because the only thing Dems and Reps can agree on is servicing corporate donors. They literally come together on the issues both sides hate.

The Bengals are at least a year away if not two from doing anything even if Burrow pans out. They have some skill position talent assuming AJ Green stays but their O-line despite heavy draft and free agent investment has been a mess for years. Their defense has some talent but their secondary is very shaky. I think they need another good draft and 2-3 more starting free agent adds before they have enough talent around Burrow and have a better than average defense. What is also concerning about the Bengals is coaching and ownership. Everyone knows Brown is a bad owner and Zac Taylor hasn't shown much or have a very proven track record even as an assistant coach. I think even if they get good talent and Burrow is the real deal do they have a coach that can put it together? Because we already know they have a handicap in a cheap owner which is already hard enough. Regardless I see the Bengals winning 4-6 games this year (if they play a full 16 games), a significant improvement from 2-14 but not exactly catching anyone off guard.

If the MLB fails and has to shut down their season they will change their tune.

I think the NBA and NHL have a high chance of finishing their seasons. The NBA has good protocols in place and the staffs and team sizes are smaller But the MLB is dicey and the NFL needs a plan.

An AFC East and North "bubble" in Toronto would make a lot of sense to me. 8 teams equals 4 games at a time, I think they can find 2 sights in Toronto to make it work. That way you can play 10 games (6 in your division 4 against another division) without traveling outside of a bubble.

The Jags have little leverage over Ngakoue so I doubt they would need to pony up a first rounder. I honestly think the Jags could call themselves lucky if they got a 2nd for Yannick. Then again I though the Jets were going to just get one first for Adams so I am not good at this.

The NHL in my opinion has the best setup not necessarily because their protocols are better than the NBA but rather because they set their bubble up in Canada where they have the virus under much better control AND the players have a good testing and restrictions on their personal travel. The NBA has the best protocol but they have their bubble in the literal epicenter of the pandemic at this point in Orlando/Florida. I think that the protocols are effective but when it is surrounded by a pandemic epicenter it just makes the margin for error so much smaller. I think the NFL is going to have to delay the season till October to put together a bubble plan. Because the MLB is proving a non-bubble format isn't working.

I heard floated out there an idea to have 4 divisional bubbles. Each bubble would contain 8 teams and then each team would play 10 games. The first three games would be against your divisional opponents and then the next 4 would be against another division and then the final three would be against your divisional opponents again. Or they could rotate out following a league wide bye week to play 4 more games against another division to bring the total to 14 games if they find a good procedure. I think that idea is much more plausible to have 4 separate bubbles to contain these massive teams and support staffs. If I was the league I would push back the start of the season until October and use August to put in this logistical plan to do a 10-14 week season. I remember hearing that. Honestly I think it would be better for him to opt out. I do think that he isn't going to be a major loss for this team. They rolled 5 deep with starting caliber DT's. Losing one isn't going to be a huge loss.

My mother had Covid back in March and she hasn't had the same level of energy to do anything since. Many reports show lung and respiratory damage from Covid similar to those who have had heart attacks have heart damage. I think looking only at deaths could be seriously misleading. We already are at 150k dead with no end in sight but we are piling up over 1% of the population testing positive and potentially getting long term health consequences. People act like you can choose between Covid safety and the economy. As though you could choose the economy over Covid. You know what isn't good for the economy? 6 figures worth of people dead (thus no longer spending money) and millions of people (if not tens of millions of people) having possible long term health issues brought on by having Covid. We could have found a way to save the economy by having a rent/mortgage freeze and a UBI over massive corporate bailouts but we ***** this up and not only didn't handle the virus but scared the economy short and long term.

The NFL needs to find a way to do a bubble, maybe they can do multiple bubbles and have 2 divisions play each other in their own bubbles. That would allow for a 10 game season (6 games within your own division 4 against a different division.) That way you only have to isolate 8 teams and support staffs in one bubble. That way you can just focus on having 4 smaller bubbles. The NFL needs to delay the start of the season to October and figure this all out.

The Premiere League plays in Europe where the virus is under control more so. That's a big difference.

Remember how the countries that stuck to a lockdown and didn't turn wearing a comfortable piece of cloth on your face a political issue have a lot lower cases and are now opening up their economies? Why was it that the nations that took the virus most seriously are having the best results? The EU vs. USA numbers are alarming. People are acting like there isn't a real world example of an approach working better than science denial.

It's just too big of a risk short term. If it is October and we really buckled down and getting this curve bent then maybe we could have a smart 50/50 approach to in school and distance learning (kids do 5 days in school and 5 days from home every 2 weeks) and we are able to stock schools with PPE and have in place protocols. But for August and September they shouldn't do any full school reopenings. I just don't see schools being able to reopen properly during a surge in most areas of the country. It has bad consequences written all over it. I think this is where the federal government's scattered approach is not working. The feds should have mandated basic safety standards and flooded districts with PPE and sanitizing products. But right now there is just scattered guidance and the resources aren't being provided to schools in a timely or effective manner. It just seems like too much of a cluster ***** right now.

The CDC has said children 10 to 19 (a vast amount of children going to school) can spread the illness. It just seems like a real risk to reopen schools. Unless schools can have a coherent plan to social distance and mandate masks and have PPE for teachers and staff. I get that there is benefit to children being in class for their education but unless there is a way to mitigate the risks coherently I think reopening schools is a bad idea.

The league has to do its best to protect players from themselves. Not just to keep the league operating but to protect the older more vulnerable coaching and support staff's. The NFL needs to formulate a bubble plan asap. Have each division be in a bubble and then have other divisions travel to their bubbles. Find a way because right now there is no likelihood that hoping for "personal responsibility" is going to work.
