I think this is inaccurate. McKenzie is a high end talent in his own way. A very gifted gimmick player suited for 4th WR positions. He can make plays. The talent he has didn't equate to football and the style we played. That is what sucks. Maybe there was some mental levels to it, I don't know. I do remember being at the new England game he came out in and seeing him warmups. He was different than I'd ever seen him. I knew he was going to come out.

Or other hot takes? 1) Kincaid will be in the league a while. Catch 600 yards on average through his career, and will be a valuable addition rounding out any roster he is on adding a downfield target. He has a 6-8 year career ahead of him. 2) Torrence will be a starter for a few years, middle of the road quality. He has a 4-5 year career ahead of him. 3) Williams will be on the roster for a few years, in the NFL no more than 4-5 years. He will contribute on special teams more than defense. He will be considered a reach and bust. 4) Shorter won't pass the depth chart of 4th WR on any roster worth a damn. He will join Shakir of never making a significant impact on an NFL roster. 7) Broeker will be in the league a few years on the practice squad. 7) Austin will be rostered at times because of his position and special teams. Outside of this I think Joey Porter, Jr. will be tremendously overhyped and allowed to play a physical game and get the same treat Travon Diggs - made more famous than he is.

on paper, which is all we are doing to compare the two rosters crowder and mckenzie blow harty and sherfield out of the water.

i don't think we are better off though until paper meets the road or some saying. i am not a big believer in harty. i think sherfield as a 4th or 5th is fine. but we still need a guy like sanders was, or maybe kincaid can be as a 3rd primary target beyond diggs.

no. the morning crew (not sure who it is because i don't pay attention) were talking about beane should have some heat on him for some bad drafting. i think it was happy at first given the hype but i remember seeing him in WFU games and just being meh. i thought he might be the rare player that has more to offer in the nfl than he really showed in the smaller program of WFU. which is also a bone to pick - wfu is not exactly a place i would get a blue chip player out of - especially since they have really ***** the bed with their top blue chip nfl prospects historically.

my bone to pick is that where was this criticism at the time these guys were drafted? where was the insight that it was a mistake? it's a hot take because after the fact by a few years anyone can look articulate.

compare the roster to this time of the preseason to last year. it's hard to see it is better. i think our best mcbeane era roster was going into 2020. beas coming in after an all pro season, diggs finding his pace, davis rookie year, mckenzie a gadget player, sanders involved. i'll admit for rb i was a homer for singleterry because i thin khe was undervalued for the total package he offered - especially blocking.
