Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
boyst replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's the joke of it. Everybody's looking at it like he got this big money. That doesn't mean that he actually played this the best way. -
dude looks more like a big safety but lacks the athleticism to play the position. wasted pick.

Who was our last udfa to come in and make any type of contribution beyond a couple games?
-
Poona is a good middle 34NT that most people do not value; but people know this guy. he will be a solid addition. edit i think he can come in on a 43 defense and contribute. we play 3-2 and 4-2. in this case, i think a lot can be done if we run a 4-3 with poona in the middle. especially because we use a de like an outside LB.

Famous NFL Draft "Reaches" who went on to significant NFL Success

Dugger isn't there yet and people who paid attention knew he was going to be this good. -
... 😑🤣

Give me any of those guys about 8 years younger please.

I make it a policy to state why I disagree. Linebackers are underrated because the position is so weak in quality in today's NFL. The offensive skill positions growth in the last 10-15 years out paced defense that defenses haven't caught up. Exacerbated but the NFL leaning rules to favor the offense. Today's linebackers don't attack downhill, they can't give up on the pass. Today's LBs can't be bruising hitters because they'll be penalized. We have a unique skillset on defense that isn't fair to draw to other teams because we run such a specialized scheme.

Bills Sign UDFA 6’6 WR Shavers (Reportedly 3 year deal)
boyst replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't disagree with you at all. I speak from one anecdotal experience and then reading about some of this happening. In the early pp's a family friend was looking at a possible late round draft pick. His agent did not like the options he was likely to get through the draft on the teams that were calling and saying he was on their radar. Somehow, the agent was able to decline some drafting options to let him fall to UDFA status. The guy went to a super bowl contending team to backup a HOF player for 3 or 4 years on a UDFA contract where he was a PS player for most of it. He had many interesting stories about his PS players are treated, and they're not given a second rate treatment. They're no star but they're well taken care of beyond the $$. -
Bills Sign UDFA 6’6 WR Shavers (Reportedly 3 year deal)
boyst replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's becoming normal. Players are trying to get to UDFA status instead of the 6-7 round. They get more flexibility and can negotiate a lot better deals. The NFLPA union screws rookie draftees. -
A backup center who knows the system, has reps with Josh while buried behind an concussed Morse isn't awful. This is a solid move. A backup center who knows the system, has reps with Josh while buried behind an concussed Morse isn't awful. This is a solid move.

The Battle of a lifetime: Klein, Spector, Dodson, Bernard, Williams
boyst replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
This isn't Twitter sweetheart. Please use words to spew whatever dross you're attempting to puff out. -
You don't know me. I don't recognize you so I doubt you know anything I've ever said. Beans let the dude walk. Pro bowl voters are clueless. It's a popularity contest. The Bears are silly to give him that much. He will never be all pro. He will never be top 5 in his position. Follow me for more actual football knowledge. It may help you learn some X's and o's but until then. Xxx 😍 Not at all. I've been posting a very long time. I once got flamed for an entire dissertation on linebacker play and how Milano was more important to this team than Edmunds... And I got flamed by many. This was after Edmunds rookie year. I need to post more so I can actually have some folks understand my knowledge of X's and o's or just not post at all. The Twitter style ***** hot takes posting folks do these days sucks.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
boyst replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. While he is good and would add to us for a year or two the juice may not be worth the squeeze. This is our weakest roster since joshs second year. The last two years were better. -

Because I said this before bean said it. Like as soon as we drafted him. Hell I said Milano goes inside at the end of the season when Edmunds was gone -

Someone please flag this for a receipt. I will demand apologies. -
I was talking about Edmunds Yeah, I don't know who you are. But the whole 6969 thing, isn't it past your bedtime? The pro bowl is a joke, go look at who is elected this year. Tell me the joke of a guard we played deserve to go?
-
He's gonna be on Sirius NFL Radio in a little bit
-
Hes not terrific He's better than many think. The Bills developed him but wanted to move on so he must be that terrific...?
-
Exactly. It's Milano to MLB. With Klein coming in to big body the position
-
Milano was a longshot. No one thought he was set to be all pro or pro bowl
-
Edmunds was not the right choice and Milano was developed and a longshot.

Milano moves to the middle. Klein plays traditional MLB spot when needed to start season but Milano is the only answer. It ain't Williams.- 129 replies
