  1. WKRP Cinci has the best pre game, tho. In all seriousness I have considered going. It'd be a turn and burn trip that I would drive home immediately after the game. Flights from Cinci to Greensboro would take just as long as flying. From my brief exposure to the city is that there are areas there are very rough. The campus there is surrounded by some weird places. The Bengals fans are like you average falcon, Panther, bears, or redskins fan. They're a notch below the titans and a full wrung below the browns. Maybe the best comparison is Ravens fans but not as trashy, but just as passionate.
  2. Nope. Much further West However tell them to visit bull city ciderworks there. It's amazing.
  3. i don't think miller gives as much as people think. i am not 100% sold on the miller edge. specifically because he has aged. he was a force every snap when he was in his prime. he's just beyond that and seems to have regressed. his ability to turn it on and get after it doesn't seem the same to the point he almost takes plays off and gets lost in the wash.
  4. topic drift.... who has bigger home field advantage on a random day in january for a playoff game: buffalo or miami? i'd argue miami. in buffalo it's not always bone chilling cold or snowing. regardless the number 1 seed this year has a lot of value because we are still a paper tiger, and a pretender. we haven't had the success of the chiefs or bengals. the slight advantage of playing either at home (or anyone else) is yuge.
  5. we were watching a game a year or two ago and Josh took off running. my stepson who was maybe 6 at the time goes "josh is a really fast critter." he said this with full twang country (which is odd because he has no twang in his regular voice). where that came from, learning the term critter and all - i can only guess. ever since then we just call him the fast critter.
  6. i remember the HS wrestler doing a butt drag and ripping a kids colon.
  7. Workaholic doesn't mean you're addicted to work It was coined to mean that when it was time to work you'd rather drink, and or work while drinking. ... Or is it drink while working? I believe it was George Carlin.
  8. obj can't do anything on the field. watkins CAN run a full route tree. and i am a mckenzie fan but i put watkins over mckenzie.
  9. tasker said he wanted it in miami?! haha
  10. alright, sure there are 250 of the best in his position. that's still remarkable. 8 years of a career of is slightly better than fringe, at worse.
  11. So yeah. Decent points bringing him in. I'd rather have him than OBJ honestly.
  12. As others pointed out the dude is paid to be a sportsball guy not a speaker. Put a mic in front of most of us and we would end up in a spot like that too. The coach on the other hand sounded like a clown before have
  13. Poor B word lost his job. Us other little people still have our little jobs
  14. I love this world we live in. A world where we bobby hart isn't good enough. A man that faced insurmountable odds to go Pro for 8 years, in that time with 32 NFL teams have 2 OG's and maybe 2 more backups. So let's say 64 backups and he's an average backup... That's 96th. A man who for 8 years has been the top 100 in his position of his career is considered not good enough. Us little people, as our dear friend Sammy says, probably are not even the top million in our respective careers. This ain't an insult to us. Just an observation of the absurdity of the skill these guys develop, train, and practice to maintain a professional career.
  15. I want it in Miami njust for trolling. Let's see. I've met @eballball. And I've never met Steve young, which makes me 100% trust Young 🤣
  16. He is one of the best examples of buy in when it is concerned with the whole "process" mantra. It will be hard for me to believe there is a process we are fed when Edmunds, Singleterry, and Poyer don't return. Morse is also a concern.
  17. Who's pulling their pants down to get that?
  18. Basham got toasted last night but I didn't pay close enough attention but have a feeling it was by scheme failure than player failure. A better player may have overcome the poor scheming to have him out of space. I also thought the interior DL could have done more. Tua had time.
  19. Weren't you a little jealous of how they used the run to manage the clock, balance the offense, effectively set up Tua and achieve so much with so little? McDaniel is a punky little dork but he calls some good series. Just not overall.
  20. Bundesleague or whatever the Germans call it is good.
  21. That's what we needed to see and that's what many have expected. Where had that been? Diggs didn't get a ton of yards and I hope he's not upset but he is an extremely valuable piece in the field. If I get a chance I'll make a thread asking to rank in value out offensive weapons. But I'm extremely satisfied knowing we have this capability and think if we can establish a running game to control the clock we are unstoppable with the ball.
  22. @Beck Water was that the type of stuff you'd been wanting? Passes to RBs etc? You, sir, must be happy. 😭
  23. That was just Sanchez being a babblemouth. Romo is emulating it now too. Sports broadcasting is dead.
