  1. Okay, I accept the process, but you don't address the main point of my question. You rip on Whaley for finding Jackson, and mock those wanting him to be GM (I'm in that camp) because the best he could do was TJ. Jackson would seem to be a well suited back up, especially on a team where the starter is best suited as a back up.
  2. Wow, this paragraph is just a mess. First off, you know how this went down? Second, let's just say this did happen, how is getting a QB that has started full seasons for 2 teams, to be a backup for a 7th round pick a fail on Whaley's part? The fail is bringing the guy in, then not getting him enough work to prepare him, while the QB we do have proves week in and week out that he's not good enough to be a starting QB in the NFL.
  3. Thats why you shouldn't mention entry fees and winnings on the website message boards you play on. Especially with a prize this big. That said, what a shame, if you are one of the 20 left, you would be so ticked off. Still seems silly that you can go to Vegas and bet anything you want on a single game and then this gets shut down.
  4. Perfectly put eball. Why the hell can't the organization make the moves that appear so clear to everyone else? Why doesn't Spiller touch the ball 20 times every game. Why don't the Bills ever make adjustments in game that make sense?
  5. I live in Denver, which is why I know. It wasn't huge news nationally because Xanders had never had a ton of power. Shanahan and even McDaniels handled most of the player decisions before the current regime.
  6. Wow, I'd love a top 5 D, but I don't know how you can ignore QB and WR. Even in games where the D has played well, we've lost or barely won. Both sides of the ball need to be better.
  7. Hard to say, but it has to start with actually selecting a QB in the draft, let's hope they start there.
  8. Thats not why we suck, it's a product of our sucking. If we had a QB who could play, we wouldn't swoon at the sound of another QB farting...
  9. This is mostly wrong. Elway canned Xanders last May and makes the personnel decisions for the team now. He is not just a motivator. Elway brought in Manning and had final say on other free agents and the draft. Make no mistake, he runs the show in Denver.
  10. I drive an 04 Pontiac Grand Prix...I have 1 payment left, very excited for that to be done. It's been a good car, very reliable (knock on wood).
  11. I won't crap on an idea like this until Tebow starts to lose games on a consistent basis (he hasn't yet). He's started more playoff games than any Bills QB since Kelly.
  12. Not saying I support this idea, but to say Kelly showed no accumen on the field is silly. He called the plays for on of the most prolific offenses ever. I know he had weapons, but he made it hum. Elway went to Stanford, Kelly went to the U...thats probably all you need to know.
  13. Yes, our defenders (especially the immortal Bryan Scott) bit on every fake, failed to stay at home in their assignments and made The Seahawks offense look like an unstoppable machine.
  14. It would be great to see ESPN get back to hiring folks who know sports and are good at their craft. I can't stand to watch these Springer-esque shows. Somebody must be watching though, because they keep trotting them out there. Let's hope this embarrassment forces some change. Remember when they had ombudsman who called them out on this stuff. Do they even have one any more?
  15. NHL and NHLPA agree to terms on a new CBA, season to start Jan. 1 But Bills news, how about Buddy Nix steps into consulting role, Bills promote Whaley to GM, he promptly fires entire coaching staff and releases Fitzpatrick.
  16. A few years back Tops had some Bills bobble heads for sale. My dad got me a Coy Wire and Drew Bledsoe...except he actually bought 2 Coy Wire's. I still have them on a shelf, makes me laugh everytime I see them.
  17. Wood is still hoping to get back before the season is out. Holding out hope its the short side of 2-4 weeks. Stinks about Hairston, I'm not a huge fan (prefer Pears), but the more work for Hairston the better.
  18. Pretty sure they are whooping us because people like us spend half of our work day posting messages on a football board...or the grammer, it could be the grammer.
  19. Doesn't this say it all? Fitz is servicable too. I watched Orton quite a bit when he was in Denver, very similar to Fitz (right down to the stupid beard). Some very good games and some terrible ones. They both make head scratching throws, especially in the red zone. Orton has had chances and couldn't stick.
  20. This doesn't look like the same serious rehab that he's had before. He should have a normal off season and be ready to go next year (if not before this season is over). Guys like Matthew Stafford and Demaryous Thomas looked like injury prone guys that couldn't stay healthy and they are turning that around. Don't give up on Wood yet, he's so good when healthy.
  21. No reason to trade Jackson. Yesterday was the most inspired bit of adjustment from Chan all season. Freddy was running downhill on the slick field and it was working, so Chan actually went with him. Then CJ came in well rested and warm and hit the home run.
  22. Trent Richardson has performed quite well on a crappy team, should finish with close to 1500 yards from scrimmage and 10 tds. The problem with calling Green a franchise WR, which he obviously is, but for every Green, Megatron, Andre Johnson, there is a Braylon Edwards, Charles Rogers, and Roy Williams.
  23. I liked Green pre draft but was totally on board with Dareus. The Bills had ignored the interior of the line for far too long and another skill player would have made many on this board lose their mind. There are plenty of WR's that have looked like can't miss prospects that have missed badly (ask the Lions). I still think Dareus will justify his draft position in the long run. He's been much better the past two games. It appears he may be putting the tragedy of his brothers death behind him and getting back to form. Taking Williams in the 2nd round however is a totally different story. Having Dalton or Kap right now would put the franchise in a much better place. My only hope for Williams at this point is that they convert him to safety during the offseason and he is more successful there.
  24. Nice to see Mario coming on strong. I thought the hand injury was a cop out, but it seems like he has been much better since having surgery. As for Dareus being bad yesterday? I thought he looked great. He was in on a ton of plays either right at the line of scrimmage or behind it. The Colts got very few rushing yards up the middle.
  25. I love the way Moore plays, very active and relentless. If he doesn't grab the face mask on that sack last week, the phins may not have scored any offensive points. Merriman has looked good in there too, getting a pretty decent push to the QB.
