  1. So you've never said "nice work" to someone when not specifically speaking about their occupation or a job they are doing? Thanks though for the semantics lesson.
  2. I like it, he'd be a decent #2 and the right guy for this offense. Good work Stevie, we need that deep threat.
  3. If he was 34 years old, I might agree to trade him, but he has plenty of good years left and I really think he will be dominant this season. Terrible idea to trade him at this point.
  4. He'll make most of that up in jersey sales, and the gate from the playoff games.
  5. I agree with this in theory, but at some point you need to put some players on the field. A player or 2 with toughness and a mean streak (Landry, Harrison) would be a nice way to change the culture around OBD. Tons of need at LB, but I guess M. Williams and Anderson could line up as 3-4 LB's.
  6. I always actually like Garrard. If he stayed healthy, I think he would have been good. Probably too late now for him.
  7. I'm not disagreeing that we need many of them, just not sure this is the guy.
  8. Lousy human being whose production and play has been on the decline. I would look elsewhere for a linebacker.
  9. Agreed, I've had DTV since 1999 (Sunday Ticket the whole time too). I love their DVR, picture quality and the way they treat loyal customers. I would never leave for cable. DTV on the go is great now too, turns your Ipad into a TV.
  10. Why not, great size, smart kid (aside from mistakes), nice story. I'm fine taking a QB in the 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Hire a second QB coach and give them all a shot. Increase the odds of actually getting a good one.
  11. I believe it was Steve McNairs birthday too, big day for QB's. It's mine too, only I can't throw a ball for ****. Congrats and good luck with the twins Bandit!
  12. He needs 22 Lego football men with custom painted jerseys. That's very awesome though, I love it.
  13. He's a huge homer, and never shys away from that. He's made references to the fact that he turns a blind eye to the Red Sox and their probable cheating. I think it would be great to ask him if he would have written the article if Lewis was a patriot and they were in the bowl. If he was from Buffalo and became one of the most prominent sports writers in the country, we would love his unabashed love for the home team. He just happens to cheer for teams we hate. Anyway, I've been a Simmons fan for years and still think he is a great writer, especially an article like this one.
  14. How could you determine that without reading everything ever written there? Weird. I thought it was a very good read, as is most stuff on that site. Bill Barnwell is worth the price of admission alone (which is of course, free). Simmons makes some great points about the media and their hands off approach to PED speculation.
  15. Great stuff, both stores. Fighting back tears sitting at my desk. I love that he is in their life, not just for a hospital visit, but an actual friend. Very neat, I'm a fan for life On another note, put down that cell phone, make up, hoagie, whatever and keep you eyes on the road. Don't make an orphan out of anyone.
  16. I agree with some of this. I too think they'll keep Fitz (no real advantage to releasing him), but I also feel they will go after someone like Alex Smith or Matt Flynn, plus draft a QB and let them all go for the starting job, similar to how Seattle did it last year.
  17. Thats pretty crappy, even by the NFL's standards. I wonder why this guy didn't at least contact a lawyer to see where he stood. The little guy never seems to win though.
  18. All the guys on Mike and Mike this morning (Billick, Mort, Schefter) are saying this doesn't affect his draft status at all. I just don't see it. This is a guy that will be the leader of your defense. Whatever the explaination of what happened, there are questions about his personality. Either he is a weirdo, creepy guy that would be a laughing stock in the locker room, or a naive fool that spent his senior year as the BMOC in a "relationship" with someone he didn't ever see. Either way, I don't see him as the intense on field leader we need.
  19. What a strange leap in logic about the OP. I don't care about the game and would take wins over pro bowl nominations any day, but it's still an honor for a player to be named and nice to see some Bills on there. Not sure why that means I don't care about my team su#$% (whatever that means). I think CJ, Levitre and Byrd make the team.
  20. Peterson is a freak, but he tore his on Christmas eve last year I believe. Now he's having a top 10 all time season for a running back.
  21. I don't know about 6 better, not this year anyway. Bill Barnwell (maybe the best football writer going right now) had CJ as his AFC All Pro RB. Behind AP, yes, but after that, maybe only Lynch has had a more impressive season.
  22. If we are judging by wins, then Sanders wouldn't be that high on the list either. Comparing the 2 is not relevant at this point, CJ is not close yet. The one thing I will say is that I get excited everytime the ball is in Spillers hands. You just never know when he's going to break one off, or bounce to the edge and turn a 2 yard gain into a 12 yarder. That is the same feeling I got watching Sanders. AP's season has been amazing. Hard to believe he is just a year removed from ACL surgery. I love watching AP just punish defenders, he can go around them, or right through them.
  23. Don't know if he choked, just didn't score and then a fluke play cost the team the game. He had 416 yards, 4 tds and 0 ints. Probably a better game than Fitz has ever had.
  24. I don't think he'll be leaving Dallas, but Romo is light years better than Fitz. He was great yesterday leading the Cowboys back to tie it up.
  25. What if you win something like this and then declare the winnings as gambling earnings, similar to winning a slot machine jackpot?
