  1. At least Chan takes responsibility. DJ, and Malarkey failed to do so. They always had their cliche answer, but no real understanding of the issues. You can see the hurt in Chan's face. He clearly knows the problems are indemic in this team, and making adjustments is difficult when you have nothing to work with.
  2. I was wondering the same thing. If anyone from ST makes it, it should be Steve...although not for his announcing skills.
  3. Give Chan a slap on the back. It takes guts to make serious changes in the lineup during the regular season. He has made an unproductive offensive into a very highly effective one. Those are really difficult decisions to make; something that DJ would have never considered.
  4. Personally, I'll let the coaches decide who to go with. They chose to overlook the "must have's" this year, and apparently they were mostly correct. I'll let Chan decide who we need and who we should overlook.
  5. I noticed that too. Last year, he threw a very wobbly ball, but has since smoothed it out. His follow through is also different. It looked like he used to chuck the ball and now its a smooth release. He might just have been the victim of bad coaching and needed an better analysis of his mechanics. I'm holding my breath that last week wasn't a fluke, and that he really has improved. He looks confident, and is actively involved in managing the offense; something Trent was sorely lacking.
  6. They were the Miami Dolphins of the sixties. When they were in the lead, they made it personal and crapped on everyone. I hope Die Hard 67 is right and Buffalo drops a load a crap on them this weekend.
  7. I for one am glad you stayed. You provide a valuable input and objective reasoning in your posts. Unlike all of us amateur QB's, you have been there and done that. I hope you continue to stay and post. You were missed when you left us the first time.
  8. I wish we had Kelso back on the team. Great player, solid performer. He should try chiropractic for migraines. It's the only thing that works for me, as I've been plaqued by them for over 30 years. Pills don't work, ice helps, but chiropractic alleviates the pain for weeks on end.
  9. Fitz has blossomed under Gailey, but I still have that annoying feeling he will return to noodle arm of years past. I would be okay with keeping him, if Gailey addressed the defense next year. We have none and it's readiliy apparent we would have won the past two games, perhaps three if we had the ability to stop the run and rush the passer. Keep Fitz for another year and build a brick wall of a defense. Then Fitz's mediocrity wouldn't be so noticable if we stopped the other guys.
  10. Cutler has stunk up the stadium for a long time. I'm impressed with Fitz at least over the past two games, but not sure if he is the answer or not. Certainly our defense needs a major overhaul, and I would rather keep Fitz and build a defense, than waste the draft pic on an unproven QB.
  11. You're right, his right elbow did come in contact with the turf, but I couldn't tell if he was in bounds or not. The angle looked like it was in bounds, but I got to agree with the refs, there was no absolute proof he made contact.
  12. Thank you Forest Gump
  13. I'm with you there. I've been a fan since 63 and this is the worst I've seen the franchise. Nobody seems to care and everything is "sit and wait" till next year.
  14. My wife and I came up for the Bills Backers Weekend in October of 06, and got a tour of the facility. Several of the Jills were there and they were plain ugly. My wife was shocked to see how unfit and homely the girls were. We lived in MN at the time, and often went to Vikings games. Their cheerleaders were slightly better than the Jills, at least more fit. When we attended the KC game three years ago, the Chiefs cheerleaders are really cute. They may lead the bunch outside of the cowboys cheerleaders.
  15. How about a variation on a theme? Kelso type helmets with extra padding to absorb the shock. Most helmets are made from royalex, a polypropolyne susbtance often found in canoes. They should manufactor softer polyuorthene helmets instead. Less damage, more shock support.
  16. That's a pretty sad commentary when only one person speaks up. They are defeated before they even go on the field. It's going to be really bad.
  17. You beat me too it. However, there were plenty of parents who routinely beat their kids, which caused a backlash against discipline. Now we have swung the pendulum the other way so far that you can't even slap their wrists or yell at them (verbal abuse). Look what society has degenerated into? Our prisons are overflowing with kids who if disciplined earlier, wouldn't be there. We wouldn't have primadona's on the playing field either. Now everyone expects an entitlement and have no concern except for themselves.
  18. 42-13 One TD, two field goals. I hope Brohm plays.
  19. It's going to be a bloodbath. The Bills are playing horrible football and are akin to the 85 Bills. How far we have fallen.
  20. I was wondering why he looked confident tonight, when all we saw was "deer in the headlights look"?
  21. Your answer was more eloquent! Well said.
  22. I disagree - funny story, hilarious thread. It's sad when we are contemplating forfeiting the game to save lives.
  23. I'd go with a win. I might consider it if we were able to harass the QB's, and certainly if we could be the cheatriots and cut off girly boy Brady's hair.
  24. Time to rise w/ soft schedule - We can't seem to rise to the occasion, even though we have Wood, and Levitre. How in hell are we going to get it up and keep it up for the rest of the season? We need a prosthesis or a ton of Viagra. Levitre ain't cutting it.
  25. Could this be our first winless year? A perfect toilet bowl of a season?
