I think the real question here is what kind of car do you drive?

It seemed like the Bills picked right away because the pick announcements were delayed as a result of quick picks by teams before the Bills as well as players taking a while to walk out and get their pictures taken. In certain camera shots on ESPN you could see the draft timer along with the draft pick number, and the Bills were already on the clock well before the Panthers' pick was announced. They didn't spend their whole 10 minutes, but it wasn't an immediate pick.

I saw the Sportscenter Special last night where I believe you obtained that quote from Bill Polian. What I took out of it was that every team probably has A chart, but that doesn't mean all teams use the same chart. In other words, Polian was saying that due to the time crunch, you need someone to quickly evaluate if a potential trade is fair or not based on YOUR team's chart. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were some differences between the trade value charts that each team uses.

Hey Mike, welcome (officially) to the board. I'm in a similar situation as you where I don't post very often, but I'm on here reading every single day. Anyway, in terms of Kuechly and the draft...there's so much information out there now that I have no idea what to believe. Although if Kuechly can really play any of the three LB positions in a 4-3, and play them well, I'd be okay with the pick.

Planning on flying to Houston to visit my buddy (originally from Buffalo) and go to the game. It should be pretty cool to see Mario against his old team.

The first things I will look for are primetime games, followed by home games when I will be back in town for holidays, and then the away game at Houston, since I'm planning on going with a buddy of mine who lives there now. Also, I think I heard yesterday on either ESPN or NFL network that Mario Williams is going to be on the schedule release show. (Can't remember which channel...sorry)

Agree with most here. Great job putting this together! I think the pick would be Floyd, but I don't think he will be available. Nix is a straight shooter and his comments really do provide more insight than any mock drafts or the "experts" like McShay and Kiper.

While I don't necessarily "hate" Iowa linemen, I do agree with you that they are almost always hyped up and tagged as being "technically sound" and "incredibly well coached." Kirk Ferentz has the reputation of being a coach that instills technique and discipline on his players, but I think it's gotten to the point where media pundits blindly label all Iowa linemen in this fashion instead of evaluating each player uniquely. In terms of my feelings on Reiff, I'm not sold on his value at #10 or his ability to be a star at LT, but if Buddy and company really believe in this guy then I won't argue with it until we get to see him on the field. I am hoping Floyd is available at #10 to be our pick, but I have a strong feeling that he will be gone before we're on the clock.

The scenario is fun to think about, but I don't think there is any way a team would trade the #3 overall pick without swapping for our first this year.

Although the Bills may have been the first team that Routt visited with, an article from this afternoon on ESPN.com says that the Titans and the Vikings were among the other teams considering Routt besides the Chiefs. They don't even mention the Bills. Sure Routt said some nice things about the Bills, which you would expect a free agent visitor to do, but I doubt the Bills were the reason KC had to spend "so much." Unfortunately, as usual, I wouldn't expect the Bills to be major players in Free Agency this year.
