  1. All we need is Lawrence Taylor and we're set. And Michael Jordan, for depth. I'm not sure they are overachieving. Watching the offense, we set carefully designed plays at the right time consistently that exploit defenses. The execution is crisp. Bottom line is we seem like a well prepared team with a QB who is exceptional at making good, quick decisions that is perfect for this type of offense. Unexpected? Yes. Overachieving? I really don't see it like that. Dr. Feelgood strawberry flavored cannabinoid incense (not for human consumption)? Or maybe they were just smoking arsenic.
  2. I turn the radio station immediately whenever Cowherd comes on. I would rather listen to sunshine on my ****ing shoulders John Denver.
  3. Personally I think you can throw all that "it's a trap game, they're coming off a big win" crap out the window actually. The Bengals are a **** team and the Bills should win by 2 TDs at least.
  4. Belichick and the Pats perhaps had a better initial game plan - perhaps the Bills just executed poorly in the first quarter. Nonetheless, there is absolutely no denying it: Gailey trounced Belichick for 3 full quarters. Chan was 2 steps ahead all game long. I loved that smug "I knew it" expression he wore on the sidelines. It went so nicely with Belichick's "what the hell is going on?" countenance. To me, it feels like Gailey is forging a new legacy as one of the best minds in football, and when you really start to analyze and break down both the play design and play calling, there is a level of competence there we may have never seen before in Buffalo. And Fitz is just an absolutely perfect fit for Gailey's system. The guy is really really good. Nevermind that his passes sometimes look ugly and sometimes flat out are ugly. The guy is poised, he makes quick, good decisions, he gets rid of it fast, and he knows how to lead a game winning drive. He puts the ball on the money to the right receiver with consistency. A star is being born in Buffalo. And Oakland handling the Jets the way they did gives us even more credibility. The question for me is this: when do we stop asking ourselves if we are a playoff team, and start asking ourselves if we are a super bowl team? Not yet...not yet...but it is coming soon. Go Bills!
  5. To all those talking about how Jason Campbell torched us last week - keep in mind New England will not have the luxury of Darren McFadden drawing the focus of the defense. Campbell was able to get George Wilson isolated on WRs consistently due to DBs helping in the running game. Also, McFadden kept our line from being able to pin their ears back and go after Campbell. Do not expect George Wilson to be isolated in man on man very frequently this week, and do not expect Tom Brady to have the time to sit in the pocket like Campbell did. I fully expect Brady to post 350+ yards and 3-4 TDs - however, at best, this is 28 points for the Pats. 28 just does not seem like nearly enough to me.
  6. It doesn't look like that from my perspective. 7 TDs vs 1 INT somewhat speaks against that as well.
  7. Personally I think we lost that game because Scott Norwood missed a game winning 47 yarder in the waning seconds. But maybe that's just me. I very much agree about Fitz and Gailey. Gaily even more than Fitz actually - with a QB who grasps his offense and runs it effectively, he appears to be way ahead of the game, including perhaps even Bill Belichick. National media syndicates have been gushing over Gailey's play calling and play design, and personally I think this is only the beginning. Gailey has the look of a man who knows he is better than everyone - a look Bill Belichick has worn for a long time.
  8. Yea except for WRs who can be blanketed in single coverage by any defensive back in the league don't draw attention... I think it's fairly obvious at this point that Chan Gailey failed in KC because their talent did not match his system. He uses well designed passing plays that rely on precision and read progression, KC has always been a power running kind of team. I was actually mortified when Fitz took over the starting QB job. I was delightfully wrong about him - he's the player everyone hoped Trent would become.
  9. His TD to INT ratio as the Bills starting QB is 30 to 16....that's mostly with very little protection last year too. That certainly isn't anything to waggle a finger at...in fact its down right good. I'm pretty positive Fitz's tendency to throw picks is being way overplayed by the national media at this point.
  10. Anyone who thinks the Bills are only going to score 20 points has been drinking way too much Patriot Kool-aid, and also simply has not watched our offense or NE's defense play this year. Nothing is worse than "Bills fans" who drink Patriot Kool-aid.
  11. Hell the Patriots never liked to punt when they had a punter. This isn't really an advantage for us - now they're just gonna go for it every time.
  12. We should have included Roscoe in the Lee Evans deal and picked up a 3rd rounder.
  13. Yea but then again...you're not really very smart are you?
  14. I think I just vomited in my mouth a little. Personally I would prefer winners to hard working optimists.
  15. We have all the necessary ingredients to beat the Patriots. 1. Rushing game: we have the most rushing yards of any team in the league. 2. Spread the defense: we have enough weapons to keep them from stacking the box to stop the run. 3. D line: we have big bodies capable of collapsing the pocket up the middle. We are going to get burned a few times. But in the end, I think our defense can stop them better than they will be able to stop us. With what should be a dominant rushing game to limit NE's offensive opportunities, I like our chances.
  16. We obviously aren't going to stop the Pats. But I like our defense's chances better than their defense's chances. I think the Pats are ripe for an upset.
  17. The D-line played pretty well against one of the best running teams, maybe the best, in football. The passing game is where we got burned, but that's mostly because we were geared up against the run, and they realized they could exploit George Wilson.
  18. The raiders were able to run the ball effectively enough to set up the passing game. I don't think the Pats will have that luxury. Even still, its probably gonna take at least 35 points to beat them.
  19. It appears far more likely that yes, in fact it was 100% coincidence, than that the Chiefs' highly paid, professional medical STAFF were unable to detect the injured knee, or that they did detect it and still sent the Chiefs' "best" player back onto the field. All you need here is to liberally apply Occam's razor, rinse and repeat.
  20. Any time a safety is your best player, your team just sucks. Simon, this is flagrantly ignorant banter from you. So you mean to tell me that circumstance dictates whether or not its cheap? Either it's a cheap shot and should be banned or it isn't. Circumstance has nothing to do with it. And the cut block is by far the most effective way of neutralizing Eric Berry on that play. If it is legal and acceptable in ANY other situation, then Steve had a professional responsibility to the fans, his teammates and himself to utilize the most effective possible technique to accomplish his assignment on that play. So spare us your whiny, sanctimonious ranting. And you can be assured, nobody outside of you cares whether you respect Steve Johnson or not. In fact, I find it laughable that you would respect a professional athlete that you've never even met to begin with. .
  21. No safety in the history of the NFL can effectively cover a 6'7" TE. Heck - few players in the NBA could effectively cover him. The question is can he make the plays?
  22. The chicken wing "leg" pieces - the ones that look like little drum sticks, are not legs - they are part of the wing. It's similar to a human arm: you have a single boned "drumstick" section (like the humerous) and the dual boned flat section (like the radius and the ulna in a human forearm). They are called chicken wings for a reason...
