  1. Your point is not a bad one, but I think you have stepped outside of the context of that particular passage in order to make it. The Pharisees were using their perceived piety as justification for their subjugation of the masses. Clearly Tebow's public displays are a completely different situation. On a side note: perhaps I am getting a bit too deep for the context of this thread and/or this forum.
  2. They've done it so far, week after week, against the most difficult schedule in the NFL up to this point. Even the games we lost, we were in it until the very last. I heard he is level 85. He is still a noob though.
  3. Please do not confuse the doctrines of the faiths with the behaviors of those who practice them. I will agree that they are inherently intolerant. But none of these faiths are inherently barbaric. I'm guessing that, ironically, you do not realize the difference between ignorance and stupidity.
  4. Look man, whoever Revis is covering, probably Steve Johnson, is just going to be shut down. The simple solution is throw it to someone else.
  5. I said educate yourself, not me educate you. And I like how you assume I am a Christian. I am not. I do not question the existence of God, so I am neither agnostic nor atheist. I question the nature of God - specifically that God a. has any hand in day to day activities of mortals on Earth, or of anything that happens in the universe, at least within the context of our understanding of time, and b. that God cares what happens to us or what we do. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. I don't know. I only even call him God because that is the label most familiar to the masses - I really prefer to think of God as the Source, or the Original Cause. I believe this source is a sentient and omnipotent entity, but I question whether it cares what we do. I think of existence as a computer program, and the execution of this program is what we know as the space-time continuum. God is the programmer who defined the parameters of the program before its execution was initialized, and we call these parameters physics. This is not a true belief system, because unlike dogmatic zealots, my beliefs on the matter constantly change to reflect how my own understanding evolves. Because I accept that I do not know the unequivocal truth and I never will, I also must therefore accept that no matter what, my understanding will always be flawed. And because of this, these items that I enumerated as my beliefs are merely the least logically flawed explanations that I have been able to arrive at after years of reflection upon the subject. Now, even someone as narrow-minded in their understanding of Christian beliefs as you should be able to recognize that this is not the dogma of any Christian on Earth. And yes, though there are fundamental differences even among the many denominations of Christianity, the basic core dogma is the same. If you even need these core beliefs explained, it only further illustrates your ignorance of Christian belief systems. So when I call you out for ridiculing anyone for practicing their beliefs, you can be assured that I am speaking to the intolerance and bigotry that festers in your heart. Because ultimately, none of us truly knows the unequivocal truth, and therefore none of us has any right to judge the beliefs of others. That's all I'm saying.
  6. Isn't it ironic how the same group of people who clamor for universal human rights and tolerance of alternative lifestyles are so intolerant of Christian beliefs? Actually, its beyond irony. It's hypocrisy.
  7. I have a feeling that if you would educate yourself regarding the Christian belief system before you start judging it, you might not have to post ignorant questions on an internet forum. I guess it's a good thing he isn't praying for your benefit then, isn't it?
  8. Unfortunately for Christians, they bring whatever scorn they receive upon themselves by judging everyone around them and by attempting to proliferate their belief system to everyone they come into contact with. However, that does not make you any less of an ignorant jerk if you are one of the people perpetrating the scorn against them. Yes, it is annoying when someone sanctimoniously passes off their beliefs as unequivocal truth. Yes, it is annoying when they continually attempt to convert people who obviously want no part of their belief system. But it is downright shameful the animosity that a significant sector of society holds towards a group of people who's interest include being a good, moral person and spreading the gospel that everlasting life is available to everyone on Earth. No matter how misguided their attempts may or may not be, are they really hurting you? You anti-Christians should be ashamed. And you can rest assured, you are NO MORE enlightened than any of the Christians you so despise - in fact I would say that most of you are far more ignorant than most of the Christians I've ever known.
  9. 11 wins WILL get them in the playoffs. 10 wins probably will get them in the playoffs. I don't see 4 11 win teams in the AFC. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't watch Bills games. I'm starting to wonder if he even watches Cowboy games...
  10. I don't see anyone else who would be a better usage of the franchise tag at this point. Are you going to franchise Fred Jackson, who is still under contract next year? Do we have a bigger play maker who is not currently under contract for next season?
  11. Yes it does. How much of the analysis on TSW do you take seriously anyway?
  12. Yea, then they can drink champagne after their first win of every season... lol Eh. Hopefully we won't need them to do that
  13. I like my crow cold and with a cup of black coffee. And I'm happy for you to eat crow as well At least it isn't the positive-ites eating crow and all of us miserable
  14. Yea but using that same logic we can state that no team ever made the playoffs with a 5-2 record either...therefore by default the patriots are not tied with the Bills for anything until after week 17. If we are going to say "so and so is atop this division right now" then we need to consider what tiebreakers would be used right now. Granted, the Patriots will have an opportunity to even up the season series. But the Bills have an equal opportunity of winning the series 2-0. So that point is utterly moot in my opinion.
  15. Also, there is a reason turnovers are called takeaways as opposed to giveaways. However, I think Tony Romo's turnovers can be fairly deemed giveaways a good percentage of the time.
  16. I do understand the argument here, but let's at least keep in mind that the Yankees have won 27 more titles than the Bills - its understandable that there would be at least some discrepancy between how much tax payer money would be allocated to each respective stadium project.
  17. Yea I also agree with the OP. I liked London Fletcher as a Bill and was disappointed when we didn't resign him.
  18. He also adamantly continues to say that Tony Romo is an elite QB. So that says a lot right there.
  19. Personally I'd rather see the Dolphins infused with new confidence, a new attitude, a new franchise QB, a new coach, and all the expectations in the world of being a decent team...and THEN destroying them season after season and crushing their hopes and dreams and devouring their souls for all eternity. But maybe that's just me. But I won't be rooting for them any time soon.
  20. Don't you mean good for Tebow? I mean Buffalo Barbarian stands nothing to gain from Tebow's success or failure..other than to be able to say "I told you so." I'm pretty sure both he and myself acknowledged that Tebow's game was not very good at all...so what exactly are you talking about? Maybe we need to psychoanalyze this disproportionate amount of animosity you feel towards anyone who supports Tebow...I'm thinking perhaps there are some serious skeletons in your closet. Dude, if you need to talk, you can reach me at any time. Please...if you start having suicidal thoughts...eh nevermind. Speak for yourself. I have zero respect for the Jets.
  21. You see Buffalo Barbarian, Zulu's problem is he expects us to do what he does - continue to rail about our "opinion" despite a total and complete lack of empirical evidence. He does not recognize ANY difference between our arguments and his own - so when after a game where Tebow is less than we expect him to be, he comes on here making personal attacks against our integrity and courage...LOL...this dude does at least make me laugh. Zulu - Tebow was not good today. And it didn't take an ounce of courage to say that. Man I really do LOL @ you. You do realize that you didn't have to click on the thread when you saw it right? Or was it just COURAGE for you to come on here and spout off your drivel?
  22. Oh don't worry, once Tebow does something good again, we'll be back with a vengeance. It doesn't make much sense to come on here talking about how awesome he was after such a pedestrian performance, does it? Again, this argument is far from over. At least we came on here at all to take our licks. I hope we get the same courtesy once we get the last laugh. Cowards? Are you admins who keep sending me private messages noticing this unsolicited provocation?
  23. Man Dareus has the makings of a perennial all-pro. Honestly I don't think it matters in the least where we put him. I bet we could play him at left tackle and he would still dominate people. It's a combination of bad Skins o-line and the offensive regression of the entire league (due to the effects of the lockout finally being mitigated and neutralized). Therefore, I think we can expect solid play on defense with continued turnover efficiency. That said, we can probably also expect a certain degree of regression offensively - however, the end result should still be right around where it's been all year - the Bills winning games.
