  1. That's why I responded earlier. He was compared to Russell. Like I said, how do we know how these kids will pan out. It's asinine to assume such a thing...or even say such a thing. Matt Ryan was like 59% completion, the next one I looked up. Russell Wilson was a 50% passer until he transferred.
  2. I looked up one QB and that QB had a 55% completion %. Enough for me. I will go on record as saying, Allen will have a better NFL career than JaMarcus Russell...the person he was compared to in this tread.
  3. Not upset at all. I love armchair QB's that think they can predict the future, but sit in their parents basement while updating their indeed resume so they can get that spring time car wash job.
  4. Jim Kelly was 55%. I could care less what this kid did in college, and the same goes for all the others. We don't know how that'll translate to the NFL.
  5. I wasn't aware Allen played a down in the NFL yet. Nothing will be proven until he gets on the field. Everything at this point is speculation, on Allen and the rest of these QB's. You don't know any more than anyone else how these guys will turn out. So let people have their opinions. Jeez I can't wait for the draft to be over.
  6. Fred sucked, why did we keep him around. Great stats.
  7. I don't get this fumble issue. If you have the rock in your hands, chances are something CAN happen. Ivory has fumbled 18 times in his career. I know he's been a PT back pretty much all that time. I just happened to pull up two RB's to see how many fumbles they had in their careers...Thurman and Emmitt. Thurman had 50, Emmitt, 62. For the life of me, I don't recall anyone ever complaining about their ability to hold onto the ball. BTW...Jim Brown, 57 times.
  8. Mayfield. When I see him, I always think of my favorite Wooden quote:
  9. So he's going to fail in the NFL, get addicted to drugs and do a 5yr stint in prison after breaking into someone's house? That escalated quickly.
  10. LOL ... I'll assume Sonoma County can also partake in this discount, esp if you live near Guerneville and West County
  11. My kid plays a sport in college. They have to get a physical from their private doctor before the season...to the extent of, you look healthy. You feel good? Yep...okay, we're good. I heard this kid on a SiriusXM / NFL interview a week or so ago. Sounded like a great kid w/ a good head on his shoulders. I wish him the best and hope this is nothing.
  12. Keep the suggestions coming! Me? Construction? Not so good. What's a hammer? After 26 years of working as a CO, I feel any tangible skills have vanished and my brain is mush. I If I worked around animals, I'd become a hoarder. Lot of misplaced animals due to our fires, I keep seeing them posted on Facebook. Sad. I do like the ACA and Meals on Wheels suggestions. Thanks a lot! I'm creating a list.
  13. Thanks! Master Gardner's weird me out, sorry. Where I work (jail), we have an ROP Agriculture program for the inmates. We have several acres in which the inmates learn pretty much everything about the agriculture business. The Master Gardner's along w/ the instructor help teach the group. I go out and supervise large sales and attempt to hold a conversation w/ these people. Unless it's plant related, I can't hold a conversation w/ these people. Their lives seem to just revolve around plants. 4H, awesome suggestion. I hike often, and have been in contact w/ our regional parks department and state parks...and plan to volunteer to help, where needed. Instacart, thanks for the heads up. Just did some research, seems interesting. I had no idea this existed. Come to find out, my wife suggested this too. I guess it's one of those things I tuned out. LOL Thanks again guys!
  14. Thank goodness. Retiring in a few months...wife says I'm too young and keeps looking for side gigs for me. This will knock off Uber / Lyft driver off her list. Since it's not about the money and just getting out of the house, gotta work that $3 / hr isn't worth it.
  15. I'm surprised nobody has posted this....
  16. Hope science can save him again
  17. He cleaned up, went to rehab, then fell off the wagon....
  18. Thomas knows...
  19. That's about how many times I get back to Rochester. Enough for me, but I have to dive in once during my visit. So good! Taking my family w/ us for my daughter's graduation in May. My Bro / Law has heard of these for years now. He's looking forward to the plate.
  20. Just listened to the SiriusXM NFL Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan discuss the Pat's situation. They don't have much money to play with ($10 million under cap...currently). They don't have the money to sign someone like Preston, who thinks he probably deserves a windfall. Pats still have to sign some of their own and have to make cuts to free up some cash. Sorry Preston, go bark up another tree.
  21. Life on Mars (US version), ABC didn't give it a chance...didn't last a full season.
  22. Ivory will be 30 in March. He was basically a bust in Jax (800yds in two seasons). I don't see him getting any more than a one year offer. I think he'd be a good add, but not more than $2 mill. He could easily do Tolbert's job, but do it a LOT better. Tolbert was paid $1 mill though. Could a rookie be cheaper? Sure, but that's always hit and miss.
  23. That Magic 8 Ball will lead you astray every time.
  24. You have your opinion. With the exception of living in Buffalo as a kid, Sacramento for college...I've lived in the Bay Area my whole life. It's all about perspective. I go hiking a few times a week. Bay Area for natural beauty, is tough to beat. I can go a mile in any direction and be in the middle of a winery, or drink some of the best beer in the world. I can go hang out on the beautiful Sonoma Coast. Climate? Mediterranean...can't beat it. You're shithole, is my paradise. I'll defend my paradise. Is it for everyone? No. The weak can leave.
