  1. Barkley completed 15 passes in a game 2 years ago. That's it. He has 2 career wins and twice as many ints as TDs. He's bad. Webb was an UDFA who bounced around a while----and he was, as you say, better talent than Barkley. Webb wasn't hard to find.
  2. Lawson and Phillips can play (doubt Bills will carry 3 QBs). In fact they may become leaders, along with Miller, on this D. So it's easy to make such an argument for those two. I just don't think Barkley is in that category of locker room leader. Nice guy? Probably. Friend of Josh? Clearly. Locker room personality--as I have said, that's about it. I don't get the impression the room is that chaotic or needy. So....I think there is better value finding a guy in the draft.
  3. Were the Titans the worst #1 AFC seed in the past decade? I say yes.
  4. Something tells me it would have been Darnold. poor Frankie Comebacks..
  5. Wow, that Colts organization is a mess with the QB. Luck never looked back---with good reason.
  6. You've ruled out his athletic ability as a QB. His value as a dissector of film is supplanted by the vastly superior experience of Keenum. So that leaves the culture buddy experience. There's no 4th thing. It would make more sense: Superstar young QB Solid vet with significant starting and winning experience all over the league Guy with unknown or untapped potential vs. Superstar young QB Solid vet with significant starting and winning experience all over the league Career scrub with almost no real game experience Yeah Star was an easy cut because he hardly played and was no longer playing that well. Lawson and Phillips may be back because these young D line draftees are pretty raw still. If Barkley's value in the locker room was so high, why would they have let him go a year ago? Why would 3 more teams let him go in the same year? He was of no value to their locker rooms? Their QB rooms? Logic tells me it's more likely a scenario where Josh, being a great guy, asked his friend to get a bone tossed his way and come back to the party in Buffalo. Beane said, "sure Josh". Not sure why anyone would argue otherwise. ? "here's your towel, bro. would you like some cologne or a stick of gum?"
  7. even you are acknowledging he is being brought in for some sort of locker room ambiance. That's not different from what I am saying. he's there for the bro-ing it up with Josh and the fellas.
  8. The culture was just fine after they Bills had no use for Barkley last year. Now the culture suddenly needs Barkley? That's literally what he is. GM. keep swinging
  9. Exactly. No negative. No positive other than what you just said there.
  10. You don't know why they settled on this guy (who was not very valuable to them a few seasons ago, right?), other than the obvious--maybe he's just appeasing his golden goose. Josh may have said hey can you bring in my boy Matt again? I love that guy, and I don't know Case, who's gonna be eying me like Wylie Coyote looks at Roadrunner! As opposed to "man, we really gotta get a veteran journeyman PS guy to help carry some of the load in the QB film room". lol
  11. wrong about what? It's my opinion that be doesn't bring much. They signed him. He's not the first dud signing they have made in 4 years.
  12. "hey Josh---want me to dissect summa that Jets film for you??" "Nah, bro--me and Case got it. Can you grab us coupla Cherry Blade Lemonade Bangs, yo?" "You got it Josh!!" I don't "hate" him. I just don't see the value of him on the team at this point. I've said so and why 4 times now. Keep up.
  13. Might as well title it "Von Miller vs current pass rushers"...
  14. Fair enough. Most of those guys won't make the roster. In Taylor, they needed a backup QB and he was available and likely the best value if they aren't sure about their starter. Doubt hi being in Buffalo had anything to do with it--Daboll never coached him.
  15. What, Josh Norman is busy?
  16. My point was Taylor was cut by Daboll and Beane within 2 months of Daboll's hiring. Tyrod was already on the team when the Bills hired Schoen. So at most they were in the same organization for a season. Sills had a cup of coffee in Buffalo 3 years ago. They day after he was cut by Bill she went to the Giants and has been there ever since. You can't make your point that Schoen is "brining in" guys like Sills when he's been there 3 years longer than Schoen (it goes without saying that re-signing isn't "bringing in"--whether the decision is "conscious" or unconscious).
  17. Can a player coach in a game? It would only have to be for like 13 seconds or so….
  18. Tyrod was gone as soon as Daboll was Bills OC Sills never played a game for the Bills. He’s been in the Giants organization since 2019. Proehl also was waived without playing a game. Was PS.
  19. We all fully comprehend what happened during his tenure, thanks. And as with all things Whaley, he was happy to let others think bad moves like Rex were someone else’s fault. Go look up Doug’s own comments about landing Rex and point to where he hints that he wanted nothing to do with that hire. He was a bum who signed 3 good FAs. That’s it. McD flushed his roster down the toilet to excellent effect
  20. Who knows what his health will be. Akers came back in week 18 and was a nonfactor the rest of the way.
  21. Isn't Patterson a poor man's Samuel?
