As an owner, why would you ever take input from your players (employees) on the GM selection process. Thats just silly. In the end , football is a business and owners select who they feel will serve their interests the best.
The Jets have a regime change so I think they are very likely to get rid of Bradford ala Arizona and Rosen. Not so clear on Miami but Tua may not be the answer.
Hurts played well last night??? He was 7-20 for 72 yards with no TD and 1 INT. Passer rating of 29? You get a better rating just throwing the ball into the ground for all snaps I believe . He did get two scores using his legs but was awful as a QB.
The opt out clause is a fairly standard inclusion when there is the prospect of ownership change (which there was) during the term of contract . Had nothing to do with undesirability.
Ok. I didn’t remember all the details correctly . Nevertheless , he was trying to extend at the point when he left.

A lot of butt hurt on here about Marron3 and his quitting which I find funny. I seem to recall that Marrone had wanted to be renewed/extended as he was on the last year of his contract but the Pegulas right so didn't want to budge? If your only quarterback option for your last season is EJ Manuel and you had the option of jumping ship for another team while getting paid, wouldn't you do it?
Fair enough. But this is the like the 3rd thread talking about putting Fromm in as QB the last few weeks. If anyone get time because of Josh being rested, it should only be Barkley as he is the no 2 guy. The prospect of having Barkley play in case of injury to Josh may be scary. But he played well enough in practice to get the no. 2 nod over all others.
