  1. I am just waiting for Pdaddy to profess his manlove for Peters again on this thread and then my day will be complete.
  2. Isn't Holmgren fairly well regarded as an evaluator of QB talent? So how would one spin Holmgren deciding to trade Quinn away?
  3. I think the average NFL QB score is 24. And QBs are traditionally the highest scoring group of players. The Wonderlic certainly doesn't tell you everything about a player. But a college grad scoring only a 22 does make one do a double take.
  4. Ummm. That post was really meant to point out the flawed perception that Pittsburgh has a great O line. I never said anything about the need to draft a QB first. I am more a supporter of those who believe that the you need to build quality lines first to have a shot at winning.
  5. Is Pittsburgh's O line really good? Don't they have major pass protection issues? I seem to recall that in the past 2 seasons, Big Ben has taken quite a beating from the pass rushers of the opposing team. I think a large part of the success of the Steeler's passing games is due to Ben's toughness and ability to shrug off a potential sack and make a good throw.
  6. Wow. Its fitting that you have Lynch as your avatar and handle. You write like him. I can't understand what your point is because of the extremely poor sentence construction and preponderance of run on sentences.
  7. Below are Vick's career passing stats from Atlanta from ESPN website. Would you really call him a good QB? He seems to have very pedestrian numbers for a QB. Career completion percentage is below 60% . No season with over 3000 yards passing. And a career passer rating below 80. 8. Is Myron Rolle actually going to play football at the pro level? I thought he had some academic aspirations like being a doctor / medical researcher?
  9. If Brett Retires, will Minnesota make a play for a proven playmaker rather than going with their backups? I was told today that there are rumors about Childress going for McNabb?
  10. You can't compare Watergate to football. Thats apples and oranges.
  11. Its amazing how many people try to read between the lines when its so much simpler and reasonable to take things at face value.
  12. So whenever someone points out the flaws in your reasoning, you are just going to say "Pants on the ground" ??? Nice.
  13. Its highly unlikely that Fassel would have been approached again by the Bills considering how badly his interview went a few years ago with the Bills head honchos.
  14. You only interview folks if you are seriously interested in them.... As folks have already said, there is a reason why Billick has not been contacted by anyone.
  15. This is one of the dumbest things I have heard yet. You are comparing Marty to OJ? Really now?
  16. I'm calling BS. Marty had said very recently and very publicly that he was done with coaching...
  17. Fail. Did you even read who actually wrote the article? Who is Matt Mosley? With the kind of fact checking/ proof reading that he did (Tony Romo was the Cowboys QB in the late 90s???), I guess I know why I never heard of him.
  18. April was already signed by Philly a couple of days ago as their new ST coordinator.
  19. Although these guys got votes, they didn't actually make the All-Pro team right? Ryan Clady is first team All-Pro with 30 votes. Now that is impressive and speaks to how well he played throughout the season and not just a few games here and there.
  20. You can't fault the Bills for that. Releasing the rest of the coaching from their contracts was the right thing and the professional thing to do. The alternative would have been holding the coaches till a new one is signed. And then what happens if that new coach does not want some of those coaches? Then they would be up the creek since they lost the chance to go pursue other jobs earlier.
  21. It seems to me that if we asked Fassel or Billick, they would jump at it.... Heck didn't Fassel actually beg Al Davis for a shot at the NFL again fairly recently? Although, I do doubt that Buddy has the aforementioned coaches on his list.
