  1. The FDIC insures upto 250k per depositor per bank. And I believe transaction accounts (non-interest bearing) are fully insured right now. So am not sure how one could lose their entire savings either.
  2. I never said Fitz was a long term answer. However, Fitz is a lot better than Russell. Let's use the stats from nfl.com to explore this further. Here are Fitz's numbers the past 3 seasons: Season Team Passing G GS Comp Att Pct Yds Avg TD Int Rate 2010 Buffalo Bills 3 3 52 85 61.2 595 7 7 2 99.9 2009 Buffalo Bills 10 8 127 227 55.9 1,422 6.3 9 10 69.7 2008 Cincinnati 13 12 221 372 59.4 1,905 5.1 8 9 70 That comes to a completion percentage of 58% and an average QB rating of 80. TD to Int ratio is 1.14. Now here are Jamarcus's numbers the past 3 seasons: Season Team Passing G GS Comp Att Pct Yds Avg TD Int Rate 2009 Oakland Raiders 12 9 120 246 48.8 1,287 5.2 3 11 50 2008 Oakland Raiders 15 15 198 368 53.8 2,423 6.6 13 8 77.1 2007 Oakland Raiders 4 1 36 66 54.5 373 5.7 2 4 55.9 That comes to a completion percentage of 52% and an average QB rating of 61. TD to Int ratio is 0.78. The above objective evidence shows that Fitz is significantly better. So just using simple stats pretty much refutes your argument about Russell being a better option. Lastly, teams do not get out of a 10 year funk by signing someone else's first overall pick flameout and hoping that they suddenly become a Franchise QB. If you have a high draft pick and your talent evaluators feel there is a QB that deserves the pick, you have to roll the dice.
  3. Given how well Russell played in Oakland, how pray tell is he better than any QB on our team? The only thing he has exhibited so far is poor work ethic, terrible accuracy, poor understanding of the game...
  4. When an item of high value like a sports team is put up for sale, all interested parties make a bid. All else being equal (e.g., all have acceptable financial packages, acceptable business plans, qualified ownership), the highest bidder wins. Bidding does not occur just on Ebay
  5. Interesting thought. But Ralph already said the Bills will be sold to highest bidder. None of his family wants the Bills.
  6. The trade deadline is Oct 19 so not that much time left.
  7. Its nice to see some the D actually get some pressure on the QB.
  8. Yah. A lot of Peters lovers would.
  9. Hmmmm. Nice. That stuff you are smoking must be awesome
  10. Yup you got that right. Peters is not worth that much. How well has he been playing in Philly with that large salary?
  11. If Trent happened to play against the Bills this Sunday, it may be just like a practice session for him considering how anemic our pass rush has been.
  12. Hmm. That analysis may be oversimplify things How well did Green Bay's line play during the first half of season vs the last half? I believe most of the 50 sacks came during the first half? And this is when Green Bay only went 4-4? Once the offensive line started playing better and actually protecting him, they went 7-1? The jury is still out on this year's Chicago Bears.
  13. Where would Eli be if the Chargers had decided not to trade for Rivers?
  14. You meant Locker?
  15. Will Clausen be the equal of any of those 3? Or will he follow in the footsteps of Brady Quinn?
  16. Normally we would expect trolling from folks that just registered within the past few days or weeks. But it seems we have a troll who has been registered since 2001. Nice.
  17. Yup. Unfortunately, Brady had all day to throw with the non-existent pass rush. He will carve up any secondary with that kind of time.
  18. Actually, Losman got cut before the season started. So he is not even a #3 anywhere in the NFL
  19. Woodson dragged Evans down with his arm....
  20. Where is PDaddy when you need him?
  21. Hmmm. Am I missing something? The Redskins just started their season playing the Cowboys around 820 pm. And yet you are already declaring them a resounding success? Seems a bit premature.
  22. I'm surprised that Merle Haggard has not chimed in yet on this one.
  23. So no doubt every major sports writer out there should wait with breathless anticipation for the results of every Merle Haggard poll so that they have some inspiration for their next story?
