  1. no...but he might make a nice #3. EJ is our #2 and we are still searching for a #1.
  2. NFL “will strongly oppose” elimination of blackout rule NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told Politico.com. “We are on pace for a historic low number of blackouts since the policy was implemented 40 years ago. While affecting very few games the past decade, the blackout rule is very important in supporting NFL stadiums and the ability of NFL clubs to sell tickets and keeping our games attractive as television programming with large crowds.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/19/nfl-will-strongly-oppose-elimination-of-blackout-rule/ i think the elimination of the blackout rule would be particularly bad for Buffalo. especially with a change of ownership coming. the #1 way to keep a franchise is with good attendance. eliminating the blackout rule would HURT attendance. there would be even more folks who wouldn't buy tix or attend games if they knew for certain they would be televised without a sellout.
  3. and in order to get lucky, you gotta buy a ticket. keep drafting QB's until you get it right.
  4. and my points are: #1- if the current Bills team had a FRANCHISE QB (TOP 10) our record would be 9-5 or better. #2- no other position offers a better WAR (wins above replacement) than the QB position. #3- after 10 games & 300 passes, in my opinion, EJ will NEVER be a franchise QB. #4- QB's can make a huge impact. in andrew lucks rookie year, his team improved by 9 wins. in RG III's rookie year his team improved by 5 wins. #5- this year GB's offense is ranked #3rd with rodgers and #28th without him. #6- it's a QB driven league, no other position comes close to it's importance. #7- until you have a Franchise QB, you are either spinning your wheels or completely wasting your time trying to fix things around a mediocre QB.
  5. that is nonsense. the rest of that colts team was horrible, EJ has a much better supporting cast.
  6. Khalil Mack is currently: Ranked # 4th on Mel Kiper's Big Board Ranked # 5th on Scout's Top 32
  7. shhhhhhh.....someone is talking in their sleep.
  8. The NFL’s blackout policy could soon be blacked out. The Federal Communications Commissions officially has proposed the adoption of a rule preventing sports leagues from blacking out games. It’s the first official step in a process that now welcomes commentary from the public regarding the issues. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/18/fcc-proposes-elimination-of-blackout-policy/
  9. biggest needs in order of impact (which position would create more wins): #1- FRANCHISE QB ( EJ is not that guy) if peyton manning was the QB of this team, we would be 9-5 not 5-9. #2- OT ( draft a LT and play him at RT, move Pears to LG) gives EJ more time and CJ/Freddy more space #3- DT ( draft a NOSE TACKLE who can stop the run, move Dareus to DE) #4- TE (weakest unit on team) #5- OLB ( Hughes and Lawson are ok, but after that moats & bradham stink) #6- WR (is a need, but not more than #1 - 5) more than likely a franchise QB willl not be worth using our 10th overall pick for (usual run of QB's before we pick), but a LT will be there. Greg Robinson OT Auburn Taylor Lewan OT Michigan Louis Nix III DT Notre Dame Khalil Mack OLB U Buffalo (likely gone) Eric Ebron TE North Carolina Brett Hundley QB UCLA
  10. biggest needs in order of impact (which position would create more wins): #1- FRANCHISE QB ( EJ is not that guy) if peyton manning was the QB of this team, we would be 9-5 not 5-9. 11. what if both statements are true ? #1 - the team needs better QB play - TRUE (almost everyone agrees) #2 - the team needs someone else in order to get better QB play - TRUE (but not everyone agrees on EJ's upside, i say EJ going from 27th to 20th will be his peak, which i keep saying isn't good enough. Top 10 is good enough to me.)
  12. i'm good with this also. but lets just say, a QB who you absolutely believe is better than EJ is there in this years first round.....you picking him ?
  13. ding, ding, ding
  14. whatever EJ is or isn't regarding health and talent level.....we need someone better for 2014.
  15. EJ now wearing huge mittens and an oversized parka.
  16. injured and out again but not to worry, thad is coming in.....and if he can't make it we have TUEL....he looked great in the 4th QTR of that one preseason game.....(sarcasm alert). we don't need to be wasting any high picks on another QB. the 27th, 50th & 100th best QB's are good enough (sarcasm alert).
  17. i am confident he will NEVER be a FRANCHISE QB (Top 10) (that's my opinion based mostly on his serious lack of accuracy). for the record, i like EJ, i'm glad we drafted him, i would do that trade all over again, i want to keep him, i want to develop him, i hope he gets better. after 11 games he is ranked 27th & 28th in passer rating and total QBR. i say in a couple years he peaks just inside the Top 20. that ain't good enough for that position. plus he is a QB who needs/uses his legs to be successful. those guys get injured alot, as has already been the case. by now, many know the importance i place on getting a Franchise QB. i wouldn't wait 2-3 years to see what EJ can or can't do. i would pick another QB this year in any early round that made sense.
  18. #1- most importantly, if a stud LT is there at #10 you take him. #2- Cordy Glenn is not losing his LT spot. i must admit, i always thought moving him to LG might be a possibility, but no more ! dude is a beast and deserves to keep his spot. someone on here posted a short while ago that the folks over at Pro Football Focus who analyze every single play GRADED HIM OUT AS THE THIRD BEST LT in the NFL. #3- play the rookie at RT and move Pears to LG. that helps give EJ more time & CJ/Freddy more space.
  19. geez...the guy only asked for 3......lol PRO: willing blocker on running plays, strong lower body works for extra yards after catch. CON: doesn't catch the ball cleanly using hands only, doesn't come down with his fair share of high 50/50 balls, no game breaking speed, weak upper body/hands, had alot of balls knocked out of his hands. CONCLUSION: no way worth a Top 15 pick.
  20. Mike Evans will run a 4.6 at the combine (a strict nuetral site)......that is not fast. fast at the combine is 4.4....no more than 4.5 for a WR. draft a Left Tackle at #1......play the rookie at RT and move pears to LG. that helps EJ with more time and CJ/Freddy with more space. it's all about time & space
  21. just a NOSE Tackle who can stop the run...... bills are ranked around 25th of 32 in rushing defense.
  22. Red Zone......commercial free. Every touchdown from every game. did you know an average 3 hour NFL game has only 11 minutes of action (from the time a play starts til the time the play is whistled over).
  23. it starts in the trenches: when are people gonna learn the key to a great offense is pro bowlers on the offensive line. Will Wilford, Jim Ritcher, Kent Hull, John Davis, House Ballard = 4 trips to the Super Bowl things get easier when you have 10 seconds to throw or holes you can run a truck through.
