keep the current divisions.
play everyone in your division twice (6 games)
play everyone else in your conference once (12 games).
8 teams per conference make the playoffs (4 division winners and the next 4 best records).
first round of Playoffs all games vs other conference ( #1 AFC vs #8 NFC, #2 AFC vs #7 NFC, #3 AFC vs #6 NFC, etc......)
i love it except for one big twist......
once you get to the playoffs.....in the first round, the top seed in one conference plays the lowest seed in the other conference.
i would prefer 8 teams from each conference make the playoffs.
GET RID OF DIVISIONS : i hate playing mia, nyj & ne twice
keep 2 conferences, play everyone in your conference ONCE. (i know, thats only 15 games, i'm still thinking)
how about expand the season to 31 weeks and play everybody ONCE !!
Miami clinches a playoff spot with:
1) MIA win + BAL loss OR
2) MIA win + SD win

CJ- just needs to get healthy. has a reasonable cap hit of $4.16 mil next year and $4.36 in 2015. worth every penny.
Stevie - has a cap hit of $8.5 mil next year, $8.85 mil in 2015 and $8.9 mil in 2016. that puts him in the Top 10 highest paid receiver list. his contract is such that you can't cut him (too much dead money). i don't think he is worth +$8.5 mil and would trade him for anything just to get him off the books. having said that, i think his contract makes him untradeable and we will keep him. they need to move stevie inside to the slot receiver position.
