  14. NFL sees sharp decline in hits on defenseless players Not everyone likes the NFL’s emphasis on cracking down on hits on defenseless players. But like it or not, NFL players are changing the way they play to avoid getting fined and flagged. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/14/nfl-sees-sharp-decline-in-hits-on-defenseless-players/ the NFL's emphasis on personal conduct will change player behavior as it has on hits to defenseless players. they will get the message.

  16. at best, Orton is a #2. but just like EJ, he will NEVER be a franchise QB (Top 10).
  17. and he still counts for $10 million of DEAD MONEY on our cap space.
  18. the Bills will need to find their franchise QB in free agency. ryan mallet will be UFA sam Bradford may be released
  19. Roger Goodell was right to drop hammer on Adrian Peterson; now NFL needs to educate http://sports.yahoo.com/news/roger-goodell-was-right-to-drop-hammer-on-adrian-peterson--now-nfl-needs-to-educate-152857241.html First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only [4] years old, Goodell started, like a prosecutor, before unnecessarily painting out the facts of the case that Peterson doesn't deny. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child. While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse, to flee, to fight back, or to seek help from law enforcement, none of those options is realistically available to a [4]-year-old child. Further, the injury inflicted on your son includes the emotional and psychological trauma to a young child who suffers criminal physical abuse at the hands of his father. Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete. Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct, the commissioner concluded. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not eliminate whooping my kids and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the childs mother. You also said that you felt very confident with my actions because I know my intent. These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future.
  20. yes he has, on several occasions.
  21. if whaley thinks a 2014 2nd round pick is more valuable than a 2015 first round pick, whaley is an idiot.
  22. #1- as a general rule, I would always prefer to trade DOWN and pick up an extra 2nd round pick (kiko) to spread the risk of injury over 2 players vs all in on one like Sammy who has struggled with ribs and groin. #2- in order to justify this Watkins trade Sammy will have to become a pro bowler, otherwise it was a bad trade if he only is a solid starter. #3- I think Sammy WILL become a pro bowl player in his 3rd year. amongst his many attributes, he has a rare gift of being able to snatch/pluck the ball out of the air with hands only. once he hooks up with a franchise QB....lookout !! #4- also, I look at next years first round pick as a salary cap number of anywhere from $3-5 mil which we didn't lose and can be used in whole or part on a proven free agent. so it's Sammy plus a yet to be determined free agent.
