  1. all QB's who like to run primarily guys who stay in the pocket
  2. Divided locker room: Many Browns players favored keeping Hoyer, left tackle Joe Thomas said, because he gives Cleveland the best chance to win. "Certainly when you start throwing guys in there trying to see what they can do, the message is, 'We're already playing for next year,'" Thomas said. "'We don't think necessarily that we can get to the playoffs this year anymore.'" The Hoyer vote was not unanimous; one Browns player told ESPN.com he was "all for" Manziel, in part because of his impressive 80-yard drive capped by a 10-yard touchdown run in last week's game. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11974726/cleveland-browns-quarterback-johnny-manziel-hopes-starting-nod-future
  3. Though Peyton Manning gets the lions share of adoration, more and more credit for Denvers offensive success is going to coordinator Adam Gase and rightfully so. Besides a prosperous recommitment to the running game over the past two weeks, Gase is one of the leagues best passing game designers and play-callers. Most overlooked is his ability to handle what coaches often refer to as receiver distribution and location. In other words, which receivers are lining up where. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/03/nfl-cleveland-browns-brian-hoyer-johnny-manziel-mike-pettine/
  4. sure he didn't say negative 7 ?
  5. Is Pettine making the right move? Last weeks film from Clevelands game at Buffalo says no. Manziel entered early in the fourth quarter and gave the Browns offense a noticeable jolt with his legs. And though he did not read the field with perfect aplomb, Manziel didn't read it incorrectly the way Hoyer did on multiple plays. Hoyer predetermined some throws and forced balls into coverage. He also left a few open receivers on the field, which at times made the Bills pass rush a factor when it shouldn't have been. Hoyer lacks the physical tools to overcome such deficiencies, which were also apparent two Sundays ago against the Falcons defense. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/03/nfl-cleveland-browns-brian-hoyer-johnny-manziel-mike-pettine/
  6. we have a championship run every 25 years: 1964, 1965 (25 years) 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 (25 years) 2018, 2019, 2020
  7. can he claim a "thorough assessment" both times ?
  8. nonsense. johnny football gives them the best chance to win. hoyer is stinking up the joint. the real reason, is once they switch, there's no going back with out causing serious longer term problems. hoyer is the safer decision.
  9. INsecure
  10. 2 playoff appearances in 10 years is not a "winner". lets just say, we had the success of new England.....14 straight winning seasons.....then heck yea it would have been packed. btw, each and every game was an official sellout anyways. but a perennial winner would have made a completely different vibe. for starters, a lot more fans from the states would have went.
  11. if it wasn't for Robert Woods spectacular catches, Orton would be back on the bench.
  12. (((((((((((( group hug )))))))))))))))
  13. #1- Orton sucks (at best mediocre). #2- the Oline with Urbik at LG has been a huge improvement. #3- TE's are the weak link on offense. not getting much from chandler and smith in catches or blocking. that new TE looked like a superstar compared to those two clowns.
  14. much more simple new fans gravitate to winners. we sent them losers.
  15. this is true.... without going over the entire issue, I accepted it as a necessary evil, if it meant keeping the bills in buffalo. i'm glad our new deep pocketed owners don't feel the need to continue it.
  16. the stars continue to align for the buffalo faithful. first season in a long time it truly feels like we are headed in the proper direction.
  17. it's 90% mental, the other half is physical - yogi
  18. BEST D-LINE in bills history. average LB's average secondary.
  19. they will never punish their own. they will never respect one another. they will be dragged kicking and screaming all the way through any and all rule changes. using them as bargaining chips even though its for their own good. it wouldn't surprise me if half the NFL players already have signs of brain injury BEFORE they ever played a down in the NFL.
  20. when manning looks into Mario's eyes..... fear will set in.... look for peyton to fall to the ground and give himself up.
  21. the 2015 draft class is expected to have 2 QB's go in the first 10 picks of the first round. Mariota and Winston.
  22. regarding this topic. it seems to me that any player who is on the wall of fame would be a perfect candidate to find employment with the bills as an ambassador of sorts. meet and greets , appearances, schmooze fans, stopping by suites, walking the concourse, interacting with the fans, autographs etc... part time gig for about $50,000 per year.
  23. some folks have hours to enjoy this site, others a few minutes. things get missed. seriously, your fantastic, I enjoy reading your comments.
