    they were talking last year....got close...2 things held it up...#1 bill didn't want to miss induction into NFL Hall of Fame (5 years out of football) and #2 he doesn't want the daily grind of being a GM.....more like executive VP or that dreaded "czar" word.

    you need someone like a Bill Polian who is equal to and would replace Brandon over football operations. let Polian completely run the football side. Russ can stay on the business side.
