I can only hope you created that name in hope of this exact situation. Hilarious. Also thank you #34Fan this is probably my favorite thread ever. I think we can all agree that being clean shaven (or having minimal stubble) is the building block for an all pro quarterback. Fitzpatrick has made the largest strides in his career just by shaving that small animal off his face. Some people are meant to grow beards (Karl Marx, Jesus, Santa) but Fitz is not.

Since when is Sanchez even a "good" quaterback? 2010: 3900 yds, 17 TD 13 INT 2009: 2400 yds, 12 TD 20 INT Not to bash your logic because I do agree that we have to get through those two teams to get to the playoffs. I think we have a legitimate shot at beating the Jets this year. Our improved run D will help keep us in a couple of grinders. Lets hope Fitz has the magic to lead some game winning drives.

I know it's preseason and all but I for one am excited about our WR group. I really don't think we'll miss Lee all that much because you can see the young talent on the roster starting to perform already. Here's to hoping Easley can transition to a guy with great hands and instincts.. that's all that's keeping him from being a stud.

Aaron Rodgers..

Who is the last QB to win the superbowl with a beard? Even Rodgers was pretty much clean shaven last year. We're going to the ship!

Completely agree. I live in NE and hate Brady more than anyone, but anyone who says that he's "not that good" or "over rated" really doesnt know what they're talking about. The guy has done nothing but break records and win. He's won almost 80% of the games he's played in. How is that over rated?

The whole point of having big bodies up front is to occupy lineman so that the linebackers can make plays. By the time Jasper got to the line of scrimmage, the play would already be headed in a new direction. If I were an offense and I saw Jasper lined up as a ILB, I would run a sweep play to the outside and pull 2 offense lineman out in front of the RB. Jasper would be taken out of the play right away.

The Buffalo Bills Stance on this Season
Billsrhody replied to Quinn Early's Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For one he was my favorite WR in madden '99 -
Its difficult to make any sense of your LBS.. haha I do like Berry but over polamalu??

Some one must be as bored as I am.. QB: Rodgers RB: Peterson FB: Leach TE: Gates WR: Fitzgerald WR: C. Johnson LT: Thomas LG: Mankins C: Pouncey RG: Snee RT: Oher DE: Ngata DT: Wilfork DE: Seymore OLB: Ware MLB: Willis MLB: Ray Lewis OLB: Matthews CB: Revis CB: Samuel SS: Polamalu FS: Reed K: Crosby P: Moorman You're team might beat mine for the next year or two, but after that I think mine dominates

The TD he caught was the exact same deep route hes been running for his whole career. Lee Evans is not going to suddenly explode into a do everything "Steve Smith in his prime" kind of receiver.

Drew Brees: 2002: 3200 yds 17 td 16 int 2003: 2100 yds 11 td 15 int (11 games) 2004: 3100 yds 27 td 7 int 2005: 3500 yds 24 td 15 int Brees wasnt all the great in his first two years as a started. In fact, he was pretty mediocre. Basically what I'm trying to say is we dont need a drew brees right now to improve our team. The quarterback piece may come later

Something that's not mentioned

All in all preseason means diddly. No coach wants to put all their cards on the table before any meaningful games start.. Lets hope chan has some up his sleeves -
Is this a fair question for new registrants?
Billsrhody replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd stick to a modern question about the team. Maybe ask who is the owner / coach / quaterback. -
I see this bills finishing below .500 but not by much. I think the team will be much better than last year and we'll only get trounced a couple of times by very good teams (maybe eagles and patriots?). I think we'll be in most games and compete even with the good teams with an improved D. 7-9

When it comes down to it, all the people posting on this board are bills fans, none of us can change that. People complain and complain but I dont understand why. Its not like you can just pull a 180 and start rooting for the patriots. As long as we're all doomed to be bills fans, why not be optimistic?

In all seriousness.. I think as a fan base we should all start writing letters to Terry Pegula begging him to buy the team when Ralph dies / decides to sell..
-
I think this team compares well to any team we've had in the past 5 years. 1) Fitz is a better quarterback then anyone we've had since '04 2) We have more young talent on offense especially at WR 3) The defensive (has hopefully) improved on a weakness from last year in the run defense and and finally has quality depth on the defensive line. I'm still pretty optimistic on this team for the year. I hope they find a way to win 3 out of the first 4 (KC, OAK, NE, CIN) and shoot some life into the organization and the fan base

A track star? I think we're underestimating the talent that Spiller has. I had the luxury of watching him for 4 years at Clemson and he is nothing but a football player. Give the guy some time to be able read the shambles of the line that he has infront of him. Jackson has had 4 years to learn how to react in a similar system without much talent on the front line. By week 6 this year all of the people who thought of trading this guy will be eating their words.

At What Point Do Nix and Gailey Own This Team
Billsrhody replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think in general people are being very pessimistic towards Nix and Gailey. They've had one full season where they've shown that they improve the team. We had an offense that could move the ball for the first time since Bledsoe was here and we finished the season 4-4 (would have been 5-3 if not for the drop). They started out with a team that good running back and a decent secondary and have already completely reworked the defense and discovered talent we didnt even know existed on the offensive side of the ball. Why dont we let the team play a regular season game in year 2 before we start chalking the Nix and Gailey regime as a failure. -
Bills Breakout Player(s) This Year
Billsrhody replied to miserable_fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a huge supporter of Easley. I think he can do exactly what Lee did and eventually more. As long as this kid can stay healthy I think he ends up being a solid number 2 and a big time play maker in this offense -
I get what you're trying to say but I dont think roscoes game is going to be affected by the loss of lee. He runs a ton of short routes and gets a bunch of his yards after the catch. Its not like teams are going to double him in the slot
