  1. I definitely agree on the strategy. If theres a team that most closely resembles the chiefs in the NFL its definitely the raiders. They rely on their run game to set everything else up. After losing asoughma they should be a lot less experienced in the secondary.. let's hope fitz can take advantage of that.
  2. I'm really excited about Fitz. He did miss a few relatively easy throws but looked great going downfield and actually got it done in the red zone. I think he's only going to get more comfortable as the season progresses and I cant wait to see what he does next week.
  3. Just saw this article on NFL.com that breaks down top players by position into blue chip and red chip groups.. Link Guess who was the lone Bill to make the list? Teams like the Steelers and the Packers have 10 total "chip" players and really show the talent gap between the top and bottom teams in the league. My question is, who on the current Bill's roster can make that list in the next couple of years? S Johnson? M Dareus? E Wood?
  4. I voted better.. but thats my optimism shining through. I think Fitz goes for 3500 yds 20 TDs and 14 INTs. I do think we'll have 2 starting WRs set in stone going in to next season though. Someone is going to shine by then end of this year
  5. I cant wait for the game on Sunday and I'm excited to see what Gailey and Co. have come up with for the Chiefs. I hope we run a lot of spread offense and wildcat to keep the KC defense on their heels. I'd be just fine with playing a ball control offense with freddy running the ball and fitz finding any short yardage completions that their D will give us. I think if we do that, we can keep their running game off the field and play the game at our pace. I'd love to see the bills come out on D and stack the box. Lets see what their passing game can do against our secondary. I'll be very optimistic if we score first in this one. I hope we win the toss and receive so we can march right down and put one in the endzone. What do you guys want to see?
  6. I'd say the safest bets are... Patriots over Phins Falcons over Bears Giants over Redskins I'd go with one of the last two
  7. I'm curious to know what fills out the rest of the top 10.. anyone have that list?
  8. I think this is gonna be an ugly game with a lot of mistakes and turnovers for both teams.. Buffalo 27 KC 24
  9. I got Flutie and Edwards.. yeaa I'll probably go with Flutie
  10. One thing that no one has really mentioned is the coaching. I feel like we finally have a coach who can game plan on the offensive side of the ball and find ways to beat a defense. With a year under their belt, I look for this team to make strides under good coaching. I'm still sticking with 7 wins, but I wouldnt be suprised to see 8 or 9
  11. (7 years) haha. I agree, the bills probably should have drafted at least a left tackle in that time, but they did have Peters for a portion of it
  12. Losman 11 years ago? He was drafted in '04. As was evans. Dont know where you pulled those numbers from.. DeAngelo Williams contract was ridiculous too.. I dont know why anyone would pay a RB that much
  13. I get what you're trying to say.. but that contract is ridiculous. What Superbowl winning team in the last 5 years had a running back making top money like that? You'd have to go back to either Corey Dillon or Marshall Faulk, depending on how you look at those two guys. I agree what you're saying about our QB/LT but we just happen to have a QB at a discount right now. Fitz is underpaid as it is. The left tackle argument is the only one that really holds any water.
  14. With an obvious improvement on the defensive line and in the line backing corps, it doesnt seem as though opposing teams will be able to run down our throats this year. While this is a good thing, it remains to be seen how our secondary will react to the increased work load. In the last couple of years, the unit has been ranked near the top of the NFL but mostly for lack of use rather than for real performance. Will they continue their "success"? I love the talent and potential we have in our secondary but I'm worried that a lack of experience will end up showing some glaring holes in our defense. I think the secondary is going to be key to whether or not we have a good defensive unit this year, and I'm not sure they can live up to it.
  15. I completely agree.. a lot of people have a misconception about Sanchez being a good quarterback. Just because his team is good, doesn't mean he is. If he was a good quarterback, the Jets probably would have won those 2 AFC championship games and maybe a superbowl or two. Sanchez is all hype and there arent many numbers to back it up.
  16. INTs become mute when a team is winning.. I dont necessarily agree. Its not Fitzpatricks fault that the team is losing. Its the defense that couldn't stop the run last year or force any turnovers. If you put Fitzpatrick on a team with a defense like the steelers, he would probably be an 11 game winner.
  17. Just curious, how high does a QB's TD/INT ratio have to be for you to consider them a decent NFL quarterback. How high for a good NFL quarterback?
  18. Green Bay wins 2 out of the next 4 superbowls
  19. Fitz is a "gunslinger" in the sense that he takes risks and tries to force the ball into tight gaps. Why not compare him to the greatest gunslinger of all time, Brett Favre? For his career, Favre had a TD/INT ratio of 1.51. Last season, Fitzpatrick's was 1.53. I'm not saying he's anywhere near as talented as Favre but last season he played on par with Favre's ratio and therefor I dont think you can call Fitz's season even disappointing. If Fitz puts up similar numbers next year and the defense can turn their game around, this team will win double the games that they won last year.
  20. Oh yea thats right. Even so, he was just a toss in at that point and didnt really add value to the trade, right?
  21. What about Kyle Orton? He's was considered pretty terrible with the bears, I'm not sure how he ended up in Denver (possibly a trade?) but he's lit it up the last couple of years
  22. I believe the Pats gave up a 3rd round pick for Welker
  23. Suh is dirty in the sense that he is overly aggressive and has a ton of strength and talent. Basically he isn't dirty in the sense that Bill Romanowski was. I'd love to see the edge that Suh has on more of the bill's defensive players. I think Williams has one and merriman to some extent. Hopefully it becomes contagious and the entire D plays with attitude.
  24. I was contemplating putting manning in front of #$%@ face.. tough call
