  1. This feels like the calm before the storm.. Just dont know if it'll be a good or bad storm
  2. Do you think Mario is sleeping in today?
  3. Haha I'm curious because i'm in Boston and doing nothing.. cant imagine what its like up there
  4. Is anyone actually working in Buffalo today??
  5. Is any price too high? Would any one be pissed if a deal ended up being 6 years $160 million??
  6. How tall is Wannestadt? He looks huge in that video
  7. Something's gotta give! My stomach is in my throat
  8. Hahaha this describes what i'm doing exactly
  9. Just heard it too... woooooooooo!
  10. Wow.. wish we had done that.
  11. I didnt want to argue about the contracts.. I just used some somewhat reasonable comparisons. Besides.. the Peppers contract i used is exactly 15m per year. I doubt Vjax gets 11m per year. We can agree to disagree on that one.
  12. Doesnt sound like we're going to make a big splash.. he seemed to make a point of saying "we like getting guys like ubrik and pears"
  13. At some point you have to be realistic
  14. Because you cant have both! (aka there's no chance that happens)
  15. So it seems like the 2 "reach" guys for Buffalo are going to be Vincent Jackson and Mario Williams. Taking into account the contract they will demand, which player would you rather have on the Bills roster? Both guys fill a position of need so it really comes down to Offense vs Defense. Who do you think would help the team more? My vote is for Mario. He'll play a huge role on the defense and transform a weakness into a strength. Jackson would be nice to have, but he has some off the field issues and has been somewhat inconsistent so far in his career. Potential contracts: Vincent Jackson: 5 years, $42 Million (24 guaranteed)* Mario Williams: 6 years, $90 Million ($42 guaranteed)* *Jackson's contract is projected off of Sidney Rice's from last year, Williams contract is projected off of Julius Peppers from 2 years ago.
  16. With the Colts cleaning house, it appears they are desperate to trade the 32 year old DE Dwight Freeney. He is going to make about $14 million this year (his last year on his contract) but still has the talent of one of the top pass rushers in the AFC. I personally would consider giving up a 5th rounder for him. I think he instantly fills a starting role on this team and will almost certainly out produce any DE we take in the 5th round. If we can hammer out a new deal with for some reasonable money moving forward, he could be our started for the next 3-4 years.
  17. What it really comes down to.. are we better than the Jets and the Dolphins? 75% of our opponents are going to be the same. If we're the 2nd best team in the division we have a good shot at being playoff bound.
  18. If I look at the schedule and the team.. I can realistically get to 8 or 9 wins. Every game on that list is winnable, but of course that doesn't mean we're going to to go undefeated. We really need to play our division opponents well. I cant see us going 2-4 in the division yet making the playoffs. The Jets and Dolphins should be competitive this year and everyone is going to be fighting for that wildcard spot. The schedule looks good though!
  19. I for one cant wait to see what the bills offense can do this year (without RGIII). I'm confident that Fitz can improve and cut down on the mistakes. Last year the team had a shortened pre-season and dealt with injuries on the offense line and in the skill positions. I think the offense will maintain their pace from the first 6 weeks last year and the defense will improve to the middle of the pack. Good things are coming for the bills! Sit tight and draft pass rushers!
  20. I'm a huge Boston College fan.. and Luke Kuechly is going to be a fantastic NFL player for the next 10 - 12 years. I'd love it if the bills drafted him. But to be honest i think we have much more pressing needs.
  21. Love this post... bring on the off-season optimism! I'm on board!
  22. Are the Buccaneers a crappy team? They had 10 wins last year and 4 wins this year. They just fired their coach and are in need of some new direction. I would say they are a crappy team. The 2002 Giants had a 10 win year. The next year they had 4 wins, fired their coach and were in need of some new direction. They were a crappy team. If they were a good team, then why did they win only 6 games in 2004?
  23. They didnt have the best front 4 in the NFL in 2003... they only had Strahan. They drafted Umenyiora, Tuck and Kiwanuka either with or after Manning.
  24. Hmm.. the last crappy team to do this. Who just won the superbowl? 2003: NY Giants finished 4-12. They traded 4 picks to move up and get Eli Manning. The guy who has won 2 Superbowls in the last 4 years.
