The reason for the high prescription drug costs in the US is the price controls in other countries. The drug companies can't by law charge more there. They have to get the money for R&D for new drugs from someplace. Price controls here = no new drugs. Want to lower our costs? Get the other countries to remove their controls.

One of the teachers at my high school had narcolepsy and would fall asleep in the middle of class at his desk ( and one time leaning in the doorway to the room. They couldn't get rid of him because of tenure. He finally retired when he had a heart attack. I know two mail carriers. They would love having no Saturday delivery because thay would have every weekend off instead of Sundays and a rotating second day off.
