  1. Looks like our high fourth round draft pick from Seattle just turned into a low fourth round pick. Unbelievable clutch run from Lynch ruins Bills fourth round pick for him. What else is new.
  2. Sorry, I was referring to Wade Phillips. I make that mistake all the time.
  3. If Gailey keeps Edwards as his defensive coordinator, it will be his undoing. I hate the fact that Bills coaches don't make the necessary moves to improve the coaching staff. Edwards is over his head and has never had great results as a defensive coordinator. There are several bonafide experienced defensive coordinators that he could replace Edwards with, but he doesn't have the balls to do it. This reminds me a lot of when Wade Wilson would not fire his incompetent special teams coach which was Wade's undoing with the Bills several years ago. I see the same thing happening here. The Bills basically have the same defense they had last year and with Edwards and they got significantly worse this year. I really miss Perry Fewell who is now up for a potential head coaching job.
  4. I don't have a problem if they pick Peterson, as long as they trade him for several picks later in the draft. CB's don't win championships. If you can put pressure on the QB and stop the run, our CB's can handle the job. The problem is we do not have a pass rush. If we were hitting the QB or making him hurry his throws, our CB's might actually be competent. I say pick up a free agent CB, but draft DL and LB first.
  5. That's our first pick in the draft. The Bills have been absolute failures in recent years with the their first round pick.
  6. Nothing to get worked up about!!! I have a lot of Jets fans as friends and I have to listen to their mockery of the Bills all off season. I go to work everyday and I have to perform to the best of my abilities. These players and coaches show up to work and it looks as if they don't even care how they perform. Absolutely brutal. The scary thing is, I'm already worried that they will screw up the first pick in the draft.
  7. I'll admit I wanted them to lose today, but I wanted to see some improvement from some of the young players. What I say was a bunch of guys with no heart, no talent, and no pride what so ever. This is a starting defense absolutely being manhandled by second and third string players. We need a new defensive coordinator and whole sale changes on this defense. I saw very little talent on the field today on either side of the ball. I watched an offensive line get blown up by scrubs all day. It makes me sick to my stomach watching Jets players and coaches literally laughing at the Bills today. Only one player showed up today and that was Jarius Byrd and he made several mistakes today also but at least he made some plays. Too bad he was non-existent the whole rest of the season. I can't believe these players and coaches get paid for that performance. I am embarressed once again to be a Bills fan.
  8. Seattle is now 6-9 and they have lost a few games in a row. The more they lose, the higher the fourth round pick we get from them for Beast Mode. This pick could be very important to this team next year.
  9. We lost and we move up in the draft order. Now if we can just make the right pick and grab Nick Fairley then this team can begin to turn around. Fairley has attitude, can play in both a 34 or 43 defense and can line up on the line or as a LB. The guy is a difference maker late in games and will be what Bruce Smith was to the Bills in the 90's. If we go QB, it will be a huge mistake unless Luck is still available.
  10. This team must stop the run. We need Nick Fairley, and then two LB's immediately in this draft. If this team doesn't learn to stop the run, this team will never turn the corner.
  11. I still think Nick Fairley is our best option because he can play a 34 defense or 43. He reminds me of Bruce Smith. They can line him up anywhere on the defensive line or LB and he will still wreak havec on the QB and can stuff the run. He is a playmaker and a difference maker especially late in games when the game is on the line. He plays with an attitude and is nasty. We need a player like this so we can send Kelsay to back up duties.
  12. Every sport in Buffalo is cursed. The Bills, Sabres, and the UB Bulls football & basketball. Every team is a laughingstock this year with no hope in site. Every team seems to be cursed. The only Championship I've witnessed is UB Bulls football a few years back against Ball State. The only thing that got us was to lose the coach. I still have that game on tape. I don't count Lacrosse or AAA Baseball. Think of all the heart breaking losses from these teams over the years and it is enough to make you certifiably insane. Every team is bottoming out and it appears each team has several years of rebuilding before we will sniff playoffs or bowl games again. It is really pathetic but the only thing we have to look forward to each year is the draft and we blow that every year also.
  13. I was wrong on the score but I was right on with the offensive ineptitude and pitiful performance by Fitzpatrick with a 64.1 QB rating for this game. I new reality would strike us down again when the bandwagon started thinking that Fitzpatrick and this offense was getting too much praise. Face it this offense still has a huge problem - talent and consistency. I love the Bills but after 40 years of dieing weekly with this team, you can almost sense that something bad will happen every week. I tried being positive in the past but it doesn't help the constant pain we Bills fans feel every week. I honestly feel better after every loss by stating the obvious crushing performances we expect each week. I can only say that being a Bills fans for over 40 years should take some time off my purgatory stay. God help us, how many more crushing losses can us fans take.
  14. What would you do if the Bills took Christian Ponder with the first pick in the draft and they didn't take Andrew Luck? If this happens and it is a real possibility, this reach pick would probably put me over the edge. Ponder just doesn't do anything for me. I wouldn't take him unless it was the third or fourth round and we were desperate at QB. But given Modrak and companies track record, I'm already scared to death that they are even considering him. There are several statements that say Nix likes Luck and Ponder at QB and Bills scouts are going to see him this week. I hope he flops so we don't consider him in the future. We must take Luck if he is available, if not we go with the best DE, DT, LB or OT available. Case closed.
  15. Hate to be a downer but every time a player from Buffalo starts to get big time praise or the team starts to get kudos, the next game they go out a play like Sh-t. All this praise for the offense, Fitzpatrick, and Johnson may come crashing down to reality at Kansas City. These guy just aren't consistent enough to keep this thing going and I see reality striking soon. Don't get me wrong, I hope they keeps playing well, but the overconfidence level is getting scary. People are saying that Fitz may be our next franchise quarterback. We said the same thing after Buffalo started out 5-1 a year or two ago with Edwards at the helm. What happens to all this enthusiasm if the offense and Fitzpatrick score only 13 points next week and Fitz throws 3 int's and gets 1 touchdown and Steve Johnson catches 2 for 26 yards. It's really scary to think about, but reality is right around the corner.
  16. You forget that the Bills had two weeks to prepare for this game. Can they do this with one week to prepare?
  17. Yes we were competitive today, but I still am not very giddy over the fact that we had two weeks to prepare for this team and our defense still couldn't do anything to stop an average offensive team. I hate to be negative, but we had two weeks to prepare so we looked better offensively. The real test of improvement is how we play against the Chiefs with one week to prepare. Another sad note is that Spiller's fumble was a huge reason why we lost today. I still think that this draft pick was a big mistake along with most of 2010 draft. Did Troup do anything, where is Carrington? Again we got nothing from our first three draft picks......and don't get me started on Maybin.
  18. If Luck is available we take him. If not we try to trade down and grab DE Adrian Clayborne from Iowa, DT Nick Fairley Auburn, or the top LB in the draft. This whole defense is terrible including the safeties. We have absolutely no playmakers on defense.
  19. I would love to be optimistic and be happy about this team, but honestly give me one thing to be happy about. I can't even think of one thing the Bills have done lately that I can even think of that was a good move other than signing undrafted free agents Nelson and Cordaro Howard. Even that has to make me laugh because undrafted free agents are better than most players on this team and can start on this team. It just proves how bad the drafting has been. Ok I provided two positives (Nelson and Howard). Are you happy know.
  20. Extend George Wilson. He can make some plays and is a good back up and special teams player. Sad thing with him is he probably is still one of the best WR on this pathetic team. I need to see if Whitner, Florence, and Poz can stay healthy for the rest of the year and play 100% and make a few plays then maybe extend them at the right price. Sad thing is none of these players make plays so none of them deserve a raise. Let Yoaboty walk.
  21. As I said, it is very early but based on what I've seen so far after five games, this draft class has not shown much of anything so far. Perhaps labeling the draft a bust is harsh, but it appears that's where it is headed. My feeling is if they don't show some true ability early on with the lack of talent this team has, than chances are they aren't going to develop. It starts with true talent. Yes, Spiller has talent but he is not a true starting RB. The guy simply can't block. We gave Hardy three years - He got hurt and turned into a major bust, we gave McCargo four or five years bust, Should I go on: Edwards, Losman, Mike Williams, Maybin and all the other picks that showed little early on and actually looked worse as time progressed did not develop. You simply can't draft players as projects. If they can't help the team immediately, then why waste the money on them. Who wants to pay a player a large salary for three years while they try to develop. Then if they actually do develop they leave via free agency (ie. Winfield Clememts, Greer, Pat Williams). Every other team in the NFL gets immediate returns from their drafts. We get nothing until we wait for three years hoping they develop. This strategy is a real failure. Quite honestly, if Troup and Carrington can't make plays with this team with the lack of talent they have, do you really think they are going to be stand out players later? With Batten and Easley, early career injuries really hamper their development. I don't blame the coaches for the injuries, but if they get injured early (ie. Hardy) chances are they will be slow to develop and there is a great chance they may never reach their potential. If that happens, I feel the pick is a bust. After they got hurt, there is a greater chance they will turn into busts.
  22. This draft looks like another bust based on early returns. I know you will all say it is early, give them time, but we said the same things about all these other draft picks over the years and they have really not improved much. Yes, these players may get better, but based on true talent, I see bust written all over this draft. Heck, if you can't start for this untalented team, you must suck. C. J. Spiller - Big play potential but can't consistently get on the field. Has not proved to be a starter. If your first pick is not a starter from the get go, the pick is a failure. We need immediate results from this pick and he must be a starter. This guy can't pick up a blitz to save his life. He is actually a liability on third down passing downs because he can't block. Troup - Doesn't start and does not appear to be a difference maker. Average at best. Has he helped stop the run yet - a big fat no. Carrington - Has basically done nothing since he hasn't played much. Easley - Hurt, another wasted pick, Next year will be his true rookie year, Won't make any impact until 2012 if he can stay healthy Moats - Been Hurt, shows some potential but doesn't start. Seems like he can make plays but isn't consistent. Batten - Hurt, another wasted pick, won't make team next year Levi Brown - Won't make this team next year if we draft a QB Callaway - Cut
  23. That's it. Just one Super Bowl Title. If we would have beat the Giants in the first Super Bowl, I would have been satisfied for life.
  24. Problem is no matter what you say to these free agents they won't want to come play for this team. For every free agent available, the Bills will always be the last choice they pick. That is just the way it is with this team. They have a huge disadvantage in outbidding for free agents.
