  1. Only Jacksonville was worse with a C-. Outside of Cory Chavous I've seen no above average grades for the Bills so far. I have to agree with them. I see nothing special with this draft except Spiller. I might say that Levi Brown was a good value pick in the seventh. Other than that nothing really stands out as a coup. I still don't understand why we didn't trade Lynch to Seattle. They apparently really tried to get him. What is Nix thinking?
  2. I've was very concerned the Bills would waste a pick on Jason Campbell. We don't need more average QB's on this team. This is one move I was happy about. I just hope the Bills are going to trade Marshawn Lynch for another player or draft pick next year. It just doesn't make sense to bring this cancer back to the team after drafting Spiller. Quite honestly, we should trade Whitner also. We need to improve the offensive line. This line is still no where near good enough to even be average.
  3. Pro Football Talk grades Bills as big losers in the draft. They say that the Bills draft gets poor grades because of the lack of getting an impact OT and QB in the draft. They grade Seattle and Oakland as the big winners.
  4. Al Woods C. Thomas L. Houston L. Joseph or the following LT's Charles Brown Ducasse or the following Qb's Clausen Don't get me wrong he works for me in the third round but not a high second round pick with all these other players available.
  5. Nolan Nawrocki has him rated the 92 best prospect. I would have taken the following DT before Troup
  6. Every year the Bills reach on players they could have had later in the draft. If they are going to reach, why don't they trade down for more picks. Troup could have been had in the third round and we could have gained another pick by trading down. The Bills rarely get good value out of their picks. Just watch, in the third round they will reach for a prospect they could have had in the fourth or fifth round. My honest opinion is if we don't trade Whitner or Lynch for an extra early round pick with good value that fills a legitimate need, this draft is a bust and will receive a poor grade. I mean even Detroit and Oakland are doing well in this years draft. This could be the defining draft that shows that the Bills front office really has no clue. The Bills really are the laughing stock of the league. Outside of Jacksonville's first round pick, the Troup pick is the biggest reach so far in the draft based on what was still available.
  7. So far I have nothing negative to say about there performance. But if they trade any draft picks for Campbell, then they lost all credibility with me. We don't need another sub par quarterback on this team.
  8. If we trade any of our picks for Campbell, then our front office has sealed it's fate as inept and will be another failure as we head through several more years of losing seasons. I'd rather have Bulger for nothing than Campbell for any draft picks. We have three below average quarterbacks on the roster why do we need another.
  9. Let me be clear, I'd rather have Bulger who was just released and be had for nothing than waste a pick on Campbell.
  10. If we waste a draft pick on Campbell, then this new front office has sealed it's fate as another major blunder and will continue the ineptitude of this team for another several years until they are fired. Campbell is no better than the Quarterbacks on the current roster and is not an upgrade. The answer is no way unless he is cut.
  11. McCoy has a weak arm and does not have the accuracy of Drew Brees. He doesn't play well against top competition (which will be the NFL). He is not going to be an NFL quarterback. His numbers came from playing average teams. I'd go as far as saying I'd rather have Tebow who has more upside.
  12. The problem is the offensive line. The coaches and the front office are to blame for this mess. Who in there right mind trades there starting Left Offensive Tackle and cuts their starting right Offensive Tackle just before the start of the season without any legit players to replace them. That had to be the biggest bone headed decision I've ever seen. This team didn't have a chance after those moves were made. Then they go out and spend 6.5 million dollars on Terrell Owens knowing that they have no way of getting him the ball because the QB's are always on their backs. The QB's never had a chance either after those moves. Dick Jauron and his cast of misfit coaches were idiots.
  13. Believe me, I hope and pray that I'm wrong and we have an amazing turn around. But do you really see any positives out of anything this front office has done yet. It appears the front office doesn't even want to try to improve this year. It certainly isn't going to get solved in just this years draft. Unless they make some great trades, this team looks worse than last year. Bill Parcels made positive moves as soon as he was hired. This front office has done nothing but tell a few players they won't come back next year. As of right now this team looks worse on paper than last year. This first draft isn't going to solve this thing - rookies will not improve this team for next year. So, I am being realistic. This team won't be better than last years team. But I think that Bills fans may skip purgatory and go right to heaven because of the misery we have endured for all these years.
  14. Gailey is the offensive coordinator. He is going to draft offensive players in the first few rounds. He is not going to draft a LB, DT, or DE in the first two rounds. He is quickly on trial to see if he can turn the offense around. He isn't going to risk his offensive failure to improve the defense first. He has to sign a LT first unless a C.J Spiller, Bradford or Clausen slide to him. My honest opinion he has to secure this offensive line first.
  15. If I recall during the last lock-out the worst team the following year did not automatically pick first in the draft the next year after the lock out was lifted. I am not positive of this, but if Buffalo goes 1-15 this coming year and earns the first pick in the draft, and then they lock out (strike) the next year, Buffalo does not automatically get the first pick in the next draft following the lock out. Does anybody know if this is correct or am I just remembering things wrong? We could have a terrible year and still not get the high draft pick the next year if this happens?
  16. Well Kennedy isn't coming and there is still a great possibility that Schobel retires. There are so many question marks on this team with this new defense that I find it hard to say that our defense will be killer. I think this defense is going to get murdered. I personally think that McKelvin may be a bust as a lock down corner. He has looked average at best when healthy in one on one coverage. But we are set at three of the four DB spots. CB's in the 3 4 defense must be lock down corners At LB, I think Schobel retires, and Maybin will still be a bust. Poz and Mitchell have shown me nothing but average play since they arrived. We need to draft a stud LB. The defensive line can't stop the run. The Bills need a big run stopper in the middle and the LB's need to fill the lanes. They are not going to fill any of these holes through free agency, because nobody wants to come to Buffalo and play, and the offense has too many holes a LT, G, WR and QB, so I don't think we are going to get a stud DT or LB in this draft. I don't think Eric Wood is going to be activated until after the second half of the season like Hardy was. His next season will be much like Hardy's. So, we need another Guard as well. We still need two more Tackles, and no way do we go into this season with Evans, Hardy, Parrish and Johnson as our WR core. Don't even get me started on the QB situation. Gailey is basically the offensive coordinator, so he is going to start by fixing the offense. This defense is going to struggle big time next year. This defense will get little help in the draft because Gailey will concentrate on building an offense. I will go out on a limb and say that our first two/three picks will be offensive players. I hate to be so pessimistic, but if you really look at reality, this team may not win 4 games next year.
  17. Well Kennedy isn't coming and there is still a great possibility that Schobel retires. There are so many question marks on this team with this new defense that I find it hard to say that our defense will be killer. I think this defense is going to get killed. I personally think that McKelvin may be a bust as a lock down corner. He has looked average at best when healthy in one on one coverage. But we are set at three of the four DB spots. 18. If they are going to be such great DE's then why didn't they play defensive end ever in their careers. You would think that if they were great pass rushers, they would have already been defensive ends from the start.
  19. You should read the the Team Board for the Oakland Raiders on ESPN.com. The Oakland fans are ecstatic that Cornell Green is gone. He was a drive killing machine with his constant illegal procedure penalties. He was the worst starting lineman on one of the worst offensive lines in the league. And yet we overpaid for this chump. Unbelievable.
  20. Wade Smith from Kansas City and now Green from Oakland. These are average players that even losing teams don't want. It is pretty sad that we are looking at these types of players. Looks like Kansas City and Oakland want to get better so they are dumping these players. Are the Bills that desperate that they are looking at players that most teams don't want. My opinion is that that they overpaid for a 34 year RT (Green). Why did we sign this guy for three years at the age of 34 years old at 3 million per year for a guy that is below average. Sounds like a desperation signing to me just to make it look like they are being active in free agency. Based on his past history, I don't see this guy improving this offensive line if he is the starter. I thought we were going to improve this line so Trent Edwards can actually throw the ball before he ends up on his can. Sorry for being so pessimistic, but I haven't had any positive news out of the bills for so long that it's just getting real old looking at the inept moves this front office makes.
  21. I can't see the Bills doing anything in the offseason to put a competitive product on the field. It is sad to say that it looks like to Bills and the Raiders will be the worst teams in the league next year. Even Detroit has improved already by making some free agent moves. How does the front office expect to get people in the stands? Are they expecting Todd Wade and trading for Tyler Thigpen to be the answer? Are they expecting Maybin to suddenly be a superstar over night instead of another bust? Got to go, my stomach is starting to hurt thinking about how inept this team is?
  22. I have to agree with you. Other moves that were made that failed: 1. Drew Bledsoe - lost a first round pick 2. Willis McGahee - another wasted first round pick 3. J. P Losman - Another wasted first round pick and a third. 4. McCargo - wasted two picks on him
  23. Why would any fee agent want come to Buffalo unless they had absolutely no other option. I can't see the Bills signing anybody worth a dam. This team has a senile owner, a second rate coaching staff, no quarterback, players who don't fit the new system, no offensive or defensive line, and a history of drafting failure. This team has no identity and nobody to build around. Add the fact that New York has one of the highest tax rates, poor weather and you have nothing to entice a player to come here unless you over pay them. Outside of the great fans, good place to raise kids, and chicken wings and beef on weck, what else is there? Don't get me wrong, I am an avid Bills fan and my heart will always be with Buffalo, and I would do almost anything to help our team win, but that is reality. I don't think Todd Wade will even sign with Bills. He is from Dallas and he will sign with Houston in a couple of days. I think our only option is to get players from the CFL, and through the draft. Why don't we start looking at Rugby players from other countries. They might come to Buffalo to play. The again maybe not.
  24. And in another five years we will be looking for another coach, GM and still will not have made the playoffs. This team needs some cornerstone talent. I think they need to find it in the draft. I think they should trade Whitner, Schobel, and Stroud and get more draft picks. The Bills have no need for Whitner, and the other two players are beginning the down side of their careers. Get something for them while we still can. This is how New England has managed to stay on top for so long. They know when to trade players as they start their declines. Once they stockpile draft picks, they can make plays for younger hungrier talent and make plays for some of the worhy restrictive free agents.
