He generalizes, he says that Mexico sends people with problems, with drugs, that they are rapists. He doesn't say some people are rapists, he paints a broad brush that encompasses all Mexicans that are sent by Mexico (whatever the hell that means). Then to top it all off, he "assumes" some are good people?
That is a racist/bigoted comment. Why? Because when he says "they are not sending you", he is implying that "you" are good, decent people. When he says that the people that Mexico are sending are rapists, he is saying that "you" are better than they are. That is racist. He is saying that "you" are superior to all these Mexicans that are being sent over. The only way anyone can rationally make the argument that it isn't racist is because he isn't talking in this instance about Latino's per se but rather Mexicans which technically is not solely a race based argument. But the point stands. It's an argument of superiority, unless of course you want to decode his words into something other than what he actually said.
Ok, but you are decoding his statements in what you believe he meant. If you take his words at face value, which I am because if you look at his entire body of work, it jives with this statement, he implied all Mexicans that are coming illegally. Mind you, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he meant illegal immigrants, which he didn't say.
