  1. Big fan of Shady. Great player and teammate.
  2. Good point, so based off of regular season play, Banyard is relatively an unknown in this regards and Jwill is a known quantity.
  3. It's always been the way, watching the apoplectic reaction to Jwill being dumped for a faster, better receiving and blocking guy is the latest example of this age-old pastime.
  4. Can you quote the comments that McD said back in March about this promise?
  5. So Ducasse isn't going to start?
  6. Oh no! You presented facts that go against the conventional wisdom of our ex legendary JAG backup running back.
  7. You don't have to be in Vegas, there are plenty of places you can google up and you'll find companies to place your bets either online or over the phone. Go ahead and do it, nothing is stopping you.
  8. Yes, much props to Boldin. He knew with Sammy that they had a shot at winning a championship and now with Sammy gone and telegraphing the move of the Bills dumping their JAG backup RB, he knew it was time to bail.
  9. I doubt the Bills will dominate the Jets. Jets still have a good run defense even with the departure of S. Richardson. Considering that the Bills are running a new offense with Taylor not thriving throughout preseason it is reasonable to expect that they will struggle on offense. I think it will be a low scoring affair.
  10. Great topic thread!!! After 17 years of sucktitude, the year the organization has decided to completely retool and distance itself from the stench of it's past failures will be THE YEAR that I decide to root for another team.
  11. Oh, so we can't say he is on the team because of what he does best? Sounds reasonable
  12. No man, he's really good and all us fans saw that and the only ones who didn't were the ones who saw more film of him than anyone. And let's not forget that this is all about politics or some shizz like that and that and they want all Whaleys guys to be gone so that they can cross off each name from the list like a current girlfriend wanting to get rid of all her boyfriends ex's pictures or something like that. This is all about ulterior motives and nothing to do with actual evaluations, or who is a scheme for or not. Sheesh, you don't get it man. You need to get with the hottakes program like the rest of us
  13. Maybe they liked Banyard speed over Jwill's, maybe they liked that he is a better receiving back, maybe they didnt think he was that much of a dropoff. They are both JAG's. There isn't much of a dropoff if any. Let's not forget that while shady and Gillislee were both ripping it up last year at over 5 ypc, jwill was at 3.5
  14. Yes, after 17 years of sucktitude, this will be the year the fans "revolt"
  15. And you believe that?
  16. The Sammy trade was arguably a justifiable trade. We've already discussed this, you and others didn't like it but there was plenty of rationale for pulling the trigger on it. The Darby for Matthews and a third was in my view a good trade. Ragland for a 4th, we will see over the next couple years how that turns out. Seymour for Klay and a 7th is a wash. Seymour was expected to compete for significant playing time and he disappointed in camp and they made the decision that he was a JAG and expendable. Jwilliams had a 3.5 ypc average while shady and gillislee were ripping it up. Sure, he looked a little quicker this year and I was surprised by the cut, but let's be honest, he wasn't anything special. Maybe they didn't like other aspects of his game, maybe they thought Banyard wasn't that much of a drop off from a running aspect but a much better receiver from the backfield. Either way, los8ng Jwill is not nearly as consequential as the typical overreaction we've seen from the board. Next year's decisions will define this regime. That's when we will have a clearer picture of their ability to properly evaluate talent
  17. Will that mean you will stop posting?
  18. That's my point, there is no way to know if Beane will end up being good at accumulating talent until this plays out more.
  19. Again, that is a separate argument than the one we were having, even though I do believe the Sammy trade as a fan was a hard one to take but from a cost vs benefit business decision it was well within bounds
  20. That's a separate argument and a legitimate gripe to have even though I'm not so sure I agree, but there is no way anyone can reasonably say at this stage if Beane is going to be good at accumulating talent
  21. Kirby, they have traded alot of players for future picks. The reasonable thing to do is wait to see how the draft picks pan out and a couple off seasons of building the team around that nucleus. Make no bones about it, the engine that they envision that will power this organization will be through the draft. And after those picks are made then you'll see more activity in FA. They are going to have lots of cap room in the coming years
