  1. These guys sound like they're drunk... but it takes all kinds I guess. If they win then they'll be eccentric geniuses. If not then they will be buffoons. It's all to be determine by the results.
  2. I hope Easley can make it back. He would really be missed on special teams.
  3. Whaley's right and everyone knows it too. Human beings weren't built to crash into each other they way NFL players do. Injuries are inevitable. That doesn't mean that the NFL or football shouldn't exist. There are sports like boxing and MMA where the GOAL of the sport is to injury other participants. As long as the risks are transparent, what's the big deal? Cut him some slack.
  4. Another positive, on topic post. Time to delete it? Wait.
  5. Is it really necessary to explain who Winston Churchill was? Is that what it's come to?
  6. They will be able to run if the have Sammy. They need at least a little threat of passing to keep the defense from putting 9 men in the box. If Sammy stays healthy all season then I think they will be OK at OL, although depth is a concern as usual.
  7. We'll see. They haven't even lost a game yet. The Warriors may not even beat Oklahoma City.
  8. Careful with the Cleveland jokes. They are on the cusp of a major professional championship in the NBA. Then they will have a champion in the modern era and Buffalo will not.
  9. There is of course a third option: really bad luck. But I have to admit that this all being a terrible coincidence seems pretty far fetched.
  10. Archer stinks and his not showing up opens a roster spot that might actually be filled by someone who can play a little. How's that?
  11. Gilmore is a very good CB, but I think the odds are less than 50-50 that he re-signs in Buffalo. He will want a mega deal and the Bills will be giving so much to Taylor if he has a good season that I don't see how they can keep Gilmore too. Now, if Taylor bombs next season then I think the chances of signing Gilmore go up considerably.
  12. What if Geno looks good? OTAs are not games you know and he reportedly was looking good in OTAs last season.
  13. If you read TBD then you would think that him not showing was actually all part of Whaley's master plan. Whaley works in mysterious ways.
  14. Nixon left office to avoid an impeachment trial that he knew he would lose. Criminal prosecution was still an option after he left so he didn't leave office to avoid prosecution. In fact it was favored by many americans at the time. I'm not sure why that's unclear. On TBD you could state that the sky is blue and still end up in an argument about it.
  15. I'm not sure how this relates to my post but OK.
  16. The US legal system is awesome. By the time Brady's suspension finally kicks in he will be 45 and retired.
  17. Yes. I know. The post referred to Nixon leaving office to avoid criminal prosecution. That is inaccurate. That's all I was saying.
  18. You realize that he will not be cleared and then start the following Sunday like some 5 year, pro-bowl veteran right? If the Bills are lucky, then after he is cleared after 4 or 5 weeks he will gradually be worked into some contributing role and then maybe in 4 or 5 more weeks he will start a game. I realize that it's not the end of the world but I don't see how he can be much of a factor for the first half of the season.
  19. Your point is excellent, however I would like to make a random point of clarification, if I may. Richard Nixon did not resign to avoid criminal prosecution. He resigned to avoid impeachment, which is different. Criminal prosecution was still very much on the table until President Ford pardoned him.
  20. So you think a rookie is going to come in, miss all of OTAs, training camp and the first few games of the season and then turn into a solid contributor for that year? Do you think that might be wishfully thinking? Or are there some secret facts that you know and aren't sharing?
  21. There's no way you can tell your fan base that even though you haven't made the playoffs in forever and just lost two defensive starters that your #1 pick is a guy that won't even contribute this season. Not if you want to continue to sell tickets. Besides, I suspect that they hoped he could play this season and get whatever surgery he needed next off season so he didn't miss time. Their medical staff "cleared him" after all.
  22. He doesn't. He retired a long time ago.
  23. People on TBD can spin this however they want but I seriously doubt that the Pegulas are looking at their medical team and front office with admiration right now.
