  1. Good. Bring him on. Picking on Geno isn't really fair.
  2. Plus, Miami is going to finish below Buffalo and New England is going to finish above them so the Jets are competition for a potential wil card spot.
  3. Hey, as long as the Pegulas are willing to pay for his invaluable services then who cares? It's not like he took the job away from someone else. I'm sure that this position was invented so that he could have it.
  4. That's obviously the most favorable comparison to draw, but I don't think they have the same running style. Wilson is lower to the ground and never seems to be exposed when he runs. Tayler looks more like RGIII to me. Anyway, time will tell. He sustained some injuries in his very first season with about the same number of carries as Wilson, so that's not too promising if he continues at that rate.
  5. He's going to get hurt. He's not built like Cam Newton. He needs to run 4 or 5 times a game, max, if he's going to last in the league. If everyone is covered, then extend the play and if necessary throw it away. Don't run it and get hit every time you can't find an open receiver. Save your runs for the key downs.
  6. The censorship of Bleacher Report is pretty meaningless, IMO. I still read what I want from it and you can refer to articles without posting direct links so whatever. It apparently makes some people feel good so I've got no problem keeping it.
  7. Knox was a good coach, but I kind of see him as the Marty Schottenheimer of his era. His discipline and "ground chuck" approach was able to turn multiple teams into winners but his success always seemed to wane in the post season. OK, he's probably a little better than Marty but still not HOF worthy, IMO. Of course if Chris Doleman is in there...
  8. Is a man defined the worst thing he has ever done? He screwed up. But I'm sure there is good in him too and I wouldn't begrudge him a second chance. Unfortunately, the other problem for him is that he's not the player or 3 or 4 years ago.
  9. No. Is FJ just waiting for a devastating knee injury before he retires? He was a very good back but he's well past his prime. Get out while you're still semi healthy.
  10. The defense is still probably a year or two away from having the personnel to play Ryan's scheme at its best. They need another OLB desperately. IF Lawson is the guy then I think it will be next season at the earliest before he is really effective due to all the time he will miss and being a rookie and all. They also need another DE, maybe two if Kyle Williams doesn't come back 100% from his injury. Plus Ragland is just a rookie so it's very likely that he will be spotty this season at best.
  11. It's not his fault. The head coach told him to suck, so what could he do?
  12. I'm sure the Kraft family was picking up the tab.
  13. Discipline on this team is not what you'd call ideal.
  14. Except that comparing the first two seasons of Bill Walsh without Montana as the starter with Belichick's seven seasons without Brady is not valid. Seven seasons is a career in the NFL and he has had 5 losing seasons out of 7 including his first 6 in a row before Brady came on as the starter. Maybe if Walsh had 5 or 6 losing seasons before stumbling upon Montana it would be more applicable but that was not the case. That was the point I was trying to make.
  15. Are you talking about the first two seasons after he took over a 2-14 team? Cherry picking like that really makes your argument look weak. Do you think Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark, Keena Turner, Eric Wright, Jack Reynolds or the other half dozen starters they added had any impact? Or was Montana the only difference between 2-14 and 13-3?
  16. I think a similar and possibly better way would be to say that you can challenge as long as you have timeouts left to take in case they rule against you, and as now, you aren't charged a timeout if you're right and you can't challenge if you don't have any TOs left.
  17. Agree. Would put some balance back into the game by giving dbs a chance. Makes sense to me.
  18. Illegal motion/false start by offense. Defense can jump around, stand, sit, whatever and that's fine. OL flinches and it's a penalty? Offensive players should be able to move freely as long as they aren't moving towards the LOS or simulating the start of a play. That includes having more than one man moving at one time.
  19. Exactly. This trial was never about the specific crime. It was a referendum on "the system".
  20. Plus, the Bills aren't going anywhere until Rex leaves anyway.😜
