  1. The US legal system is awesome. By the time Brady's suspension finally kicks in he will be 45 and retired.
  2. Yes. I know. The post referred to Nixon leaving office to avoid criminal prosecution. That is inaccurate. That's all I was saying.
  3. You realize that he will not be cleared and then start the following Sunday like some 5 year, pro-bowl veteran right? If the Bills are lucky, then after he is cleared after 4 or 5 weeks he will gradually be worked into some contributing role and then maybe in 4 or 5 more weeks he will start a game. I realize that it's not the end of the world but I don't see how he can be much of a factor for the first half of the season.
  4. Your point is excellent, however I would like to make a random point of clarification, if I may. Richard Nixon did not resign to avoid criminal prosecution. He resigned to avoid impeachment, which is different. Criminal prosecution was still very much on the table until President Ford pardoned him.
  5. So you think a rookie is going to come in, miss all of OTAs, training camp and the first few games of the season and then turn into a solid contributor for that year? Do you think that might be wishfully thinking? Or are there some secret facts that you know and aren't sharing?
  6. There's no way you can tell your fan base that even though you haven't made the playoffs in forever and just lost two defensive starters that your #1 pick is a guy that won't even contribute this season. Not if you want to continue to sell tickets. Besides, I suspect that they hoped he could play this season and get whatever surgery he needed next off season so he didn't miss time. Their medical staff "cleared him" after all.
  7. He doesn't. He retired a long time ago.
  8. People on TBD can spin this however they want but I seriously doubt that the Pegulas are looking at their medical team and front office with admiration right now.
  9. No, it's all good news today. The only bad news come from the "Negative Nacy's", and that's only because they have character flaws and can't properly interpit the facts.
  10. It's pretty funny that the Kool Aid Crew doesn't even need to wait for a critical post before starting to slam other board members. They can't wait to get started. Awesome.
  11. In the salary cap era you can't have good players at every position, unfortunately. And depth is a virtual impossibility. The Bills just need to get lucky on the right side: Henderson returns strong or a serviceable season from Mills. In any event, they can adjust their play calling and blocking schemes to play to their strengths so I think the offense will be fine.
  12. I wonder how many more years it will take before we don't hear about the Norwood miss during a Bills-Giants game.
  13. He did have a nice arm and was a very gritty guy. Played that playoff game vs San Diego on a broken leg or something. I've got nothing against him.
  14. ... At throwing the crucial pick late in the 4th quarter. Fitz like. I remember people used to blame it on him being color blind. If Chuck Knox would have had the kind of talent that Marv Levy did then the Bills would have won a couple of Super Bowls back then.
  15. "Joe Ferguson, Buffalo's passer without peer." LOL. Nice rhyme but not exactly the way I remember it.
  16. Yeah, no one can run 200 yards without falling over from exhaustion.
  17. Which means Dareus plays NT, which I have never liked. But we'll see.
  18. The Bills have plenty of talent to make the playoffs this year. Unfortunately, they had plenty of talent last season too so that's no guarantee obviously.
  19. The AFC title game vs the Raiders was anything but a great game. I doubt it will be on there. "The comeback" game is a lock.
  20. I doubt that anyone who didn't watch this game can truly appreciate how brutal this game was.
  21. Yeah, but Peyton Manning is mentoring Ryan Tanneyhill so the Bills could be in trouble next season. Maybe they can get Bruce Smith to mentor Adolphus Washington so the Bills can turn up the pass rush.
  22. In general, I think all the focus on personnel is misplaced. The Bills had excellent personnel last season. The issue is scheme. Rex's scheme depends on confusing the offensive blocking schemes. Not only did that not happen last season, it was the defense that was confused much of the time. Until that changes none of this matters.
  23. I get the impression that he was more of a fall back than an equal to Ragland on the draft board. If not, then the Bills wasted some draft picks.
